Pioneertown Corrals Tent Camping
This is a perfect way to see a show at Pioneertown. In the right season (not summer), a very cool camp ground. Check in was super easy and the host was perfectly welcoming and helpful. If you haven't been to Pioneertown, or are looking for a really unique place to camp with restraunts/bars and shops, this is the spot for you.

Very low bar for the higher cost of the campsite. No hookups or water, barely any shady spots, no soap in the restrooms. Too bare bones considering the extreme desert weather- did not find it tolerable.

Pioneertown Corrals Tent Camping
Convenient for shows at P&H
My girlfriend and I came for the Jessica Pratt show at Pappy and Harriet’s so this camp was super convenient for us as we were just a walk away. The only problem we ran into was that the ground was so hard that we couldn’t stake our tent but it wasn’t windy at all so that wasn’t a huge deal. Check in was easy and fast plus we camped right behind the pen full of chickens, ducks and a few sheep so we could wake up to their morning calls. The town is lively at night due to the bar not too far away and it’s so quiet I could hear my sneeze echo so you tend to hear pretty much everything. As a queer couple we felt super safe and welcomed! Definitely an experience we won’t be forgetting any time soon and would definitely return in the future :)

Pioneertown Corrals RV/Trailer
Came here in my RV during their off-season to meet up with a friend and see a show at the venue nearby. There wasn't much to do besides the show but visit nearby restaurants and shops because it was too hot for hiking & the outdoor performances they apparently do around Oct-March. I didn't know it was off-season but it's totally fair they wouldn't want to perform in the summer heat! My chasse is maxed out so getting up to Pioneer Town in the RV was slow going on the steepest parts, but I'm sure it's doable for most RVs as long as you're not already overheating. I wish the host had let me know where to find him ahead of time (at the mercantile in Pioneer Town) and how to open the red gate. I eventually found the signs with vague arrows, but the red gate was closed and just looked like railing going down into the sand, so I did not know it could be lifted and confusedly walked all the way around the campsite fence to the movie set entrance. In addition to having a bunch of nice and clean portapoties there are 2 bathrooms with running water (no lights/electricity inside, street light outside) but for some reason the water was shut off sometime in the early morning, which was annoying but not the end of the world since I came prepared with plenty of water and was able to brush my teeth and wash my hands in the RV. May come back with a group of friends at a cooler time of year or around the holidays when there will be more going on in Pioneer Town.
