This campsite is a natural setting in the corner of our lower pasture. It features several oaks and lots of room. It is an extremely private spot free from other campers or busy traffic. This site now includes a picnic table on a leveled area, a firepit and a toilet . Water is available if you wish to hike a bit up a hill. You can enjoy our beautiful evening skies, sunrises and starlit nights. If you are looking for a peaceful, poison oak free, quiet hideaway, this is your place. Trails are available for walks and taking in the views of the valley below. Since this site is tucked away in our pasture we recommend that campers arrive before dark. We are located near Lake San Antonio, Lake Nacimiento, San Antonio Mission, San Miguel Mission, Fort Hunter Liggett, and the Nacitone Museum. There is local wine tasting and we are 45 minutes away from wine tasting in Paso Robles. Many campers find this to be an ideal meeting place for family and friends coming from the north and south.

South 40 Rocks--Site 1

It’s a pretty tucked in site with potable water and really clean outhouse. Great views of surrounding hills and very kind and responsive hosts!

Neil and his wife were very welcoming. Hideaway is well named as it is way off road if you want privacy. Wildlife was abundant and nice fire pit. Primitive camping ....bring in your water. Porta potty was clean and well lit from tent site.

Super secluded, nicely shaded so it doesn't get too hot (even on the 90+ degree day). Neil and his wife were very friendly and came to check up on us and see if we needed anything. So many quails and rabbits, and we even saw an owl and a roadrunner. Highly recommend! Also close to Lake San Antonio.
