This secret off-grid getaway on 80 acres provides stunning views at private tent sites with hiking, bird-watching, and wildflower-spotting. Relax in the shade of a eucalyptus grove, enjoy the sun shining over the sage scrub, enjoy the dark night, and find the hidden seasonal waterfalls. A short drive to Temecula, Diamond Valley Lake, and Lake Skinner, our private, scenic campsites offer both serenity and nearby activities including wine tasting, restaurants, hot air balloons, and paragliding. We are 100% off-grid with no hookups or potable water sources (yet), no showers (yet) in the middle of a conservation area. A significant portion of our proceeds goes directly to a local non-profit for habitat restoration efforts and other bird study projects. We hope to attract campers that want an off-the-beaten-path type experience without having to go to the mountains.

Jensen's Peak brings stunningly epic sunset views, privacy, open night skies, and a flat, level tent area. Drive up to this site up from a private, dedicated dirt road with your car or small truck. This road and site are not appropriate for an RV or campervan. This site is best enjoyed if you can arrive before sunset. Jensen's Peak is named for someone who believed in us and supported us in our journey. This gorgeous site is for the campers who prefer privacy over convenience, and is pack-it-in-pack-it-out. Leave no trace. Amenities: This site has no picnic table. A restroom (porta-john) is available at Spadefoot Grove, about a 5-minute walk. Trash and recycling receptacles (large metal bins) are available for use near the entrance to the ranch. Safety & Hazards: At the site, you may encounter ground squirrel burrows and uneven terrain. The property does contain some poison oak, as well, mostly in/near the drainages. We are in the middle of a conservation area, and therefore have a lot of wildlife. Shadetree Overlook offers a tent site fully encircled by eucalyptus trees for excellent summer shade, and offers a nice view of the valley below. String a hammock under the swaying trees, and escape the summer heat with the breeze and the shade. This site is farther away from the restroom, but still within only a few minutes of walking. Shadetree Overlook is small, like most of our sites, and can accommodate only 2 tents and 2 cars at the most. Campers can enjoy hiking, bird-watching, and flower-spotting within the ranch lands, or drive to nearby Diamond Valley Lake and Lake Skinner for other recreational activities. Amenities: This site has a picnic table and propane firepit! A restroom (porta-john) is available at Spadefoot Grove, about a 5-minute walk. This site is near the main access road, and other campers will be visible if the neighboring sites are booked (sites are about 125 feet away). Campers can enjoy hiking, bird-watching, and flower-spotting within the ranch lands, or access nearby Diamond Valley Lake and Lake Skinner for other recreational activities. Gnatcatcher flats is a group camping area that can host larger groups of up to 40 people, including boy scout and girl scout groups, multiple families, and other groups. This site is tucked away from other campers, but sound does carry, so care will still need to be taken. Amenities: This site comes with a large picnic table, 3 shade sails (20x20 each), a propane BBQ, and propane firepit. You are welcome to bring your own propane, or, rent propane tanks from us (see Extras) for the firepit. A restroom (porta-john) is available at Spadefoot Grove, about a 2-minute walk. Trash and recycling receptacles (large metal bins) are available for use near the entrance to the ranch. Safety and Hazards: At the site, you may encounter poison oak (in the drainage), ground squirrel burrows, foxtails (for your pets), and uneven terrain. Hike less than 1/4 mile to this site along a trail lined by a variety of wildflowers in the winter and spring. Dragon's Reach is named for the coast horned lizards that you'll find sunning themselves on the trail - if you're lucky. This gorgeous site is for the campers who prefer privacy over convenience, and is pack-it-in-pack-it-out. Leave no trace. Amenities: This site has no picnic table. 10/10!! The entire family had a blast staying here! If you want to disconnect from the city and feel at peace and connect with nature. This is the place to be! From one camper to another I also just ask that you respect the trees and wildlife. So that many others can also come experience this beautiful place.

Gnatcatcher Flats was absolutely perfect for our Trail Life group of about 30 boys and dads! Jordan was fantastic—helpful and welcoming—and the site itself is tucked away from everything, making it peaceful and private. We couldn’t have asked for a better location or value. My kids and I had a great time. It was very picturesque and very quiet. Beautiful eucalyptus trees hidden in the hills. We went in October so it wasn't as green as we were expecting and a bit dusty but I would definitely recommend and we are planning a follow up trip. Minor gripes, the porta potties were clean but they were a walk a way.

Excellent camp site. Feels remote, with a long road leading up to a private gate. Once you enter, you will see campsites are very far apart. It allows for privacy. Quiet place, you hear nothing but the sounds of nature. The hosts are responsive, and polite. Would stay again.

This was mine and my families first time camping so I don’t have anything to compare it to but I can honestly say it was definitely worth it. This place was super quiet and comforting. The view was amazing and we also had plenty of privacy. They have a little playground area that my kids loved and they have porta potties that were really clean. The sunset and sunrise are definitely worth the trip. I will most definitely be bringing my family back to this spot.

I had such a peaceful and relaxing stay on Jordan and Rheanna’s land. It was exactly what I needed for a quick escape from the city. The property was quiet, serene, and best of all — I had the entire place to myself. Everything felt safe and well-kept, and the surroundings were just beautiful. I’ll definitely be coming back again!

This campground was such a hidden gem! So much open space, especially for the group site. The views of the hills were beautiful and the bathroom area was kept very clean. Jordan and Rheanna were very responsive and helpful with any questions I had. I would definitely come back to camp again!

We stayed here for 3 nights during the 4th of July weekend and had a great experience. The area is quiet, spacious, and feels very private. One of the best parts was the view—you can see the city clearly from the site, and the fireworks display was absolutely beautiful from that vantage point. There’s plenty of room to spread out, and set up tents. It’s peaceful and felt safe the entire time. The hosts were fantastic—very responsive, clear communication, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. A couple things to keep in mind: there’s not much natural shade, so bring some kind of cover if you’re staying during hot weather. There’s no direct water access, so plan to bring plenty with you. The portable toilets are clean but a short walk away—not a dealbreaker, but something to note. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely recommend this spot if you’re looking for quiet, open space with amazing views.

Great experience outdoors . If you live local this place is a perfect chance to get outside . Great views of the valley the host was friendly talked about future add one and renovations he has planned excited to see that in the future . Good spot for kids its close enough to everything but you still feel tucked away perfect little weekend camping trip .

There were some noisy neighbors but the hosts were quick to deal with it. I also wish I read the review about foxtails being present. We were having to constantly check our dog’s paws and nose in case we had to take her in for emergency surgery. Finally, the roads leading to the campground were a little difficult to navigate with our dinky Prius so be cautious about that. Otherwise we had a pleasant stay. The view of the hills from the overlook was so serene.

Spadefoot Grove 1
I decided very last-minute to stay a night at hidden Falls, and I’m so glad I did. I will definitely be back whenever I’m passing through this area and I need a place to stay for a night or a few nights. All of the sites are pretty great, just depends on what you’re looking for. I ended up staying at the Jensen Peak site, which is one of the least developed, but my set up was self-sufficient and the valley views were worth it.

Had such a nice relaxing time at Jordan and Rheanna's hipcamp! Loved being far away from other campers. Our spot was spacious and perfect for our pups!

Jensen's Peak
The site was a perfect, relaxing disconnect for an evening. The sky's were great at night and the view was fantastic. People in other sites but you wouldn't have known.

I had not planned to go camping or even go anywhere during the Memorial Day weekend. While I was at Costco with the wife, we ended up purchasing a tent. The kids were excited to see the tent and asked if we were going camping. I knew none of the federal or California sites would be available and was about to give up. Then an ad for Hipcamp showed up. I was thrilled to find there we're camping sites available. I had even downloaded the Hipcamp app a year ago but never used it. Luckily, Jordan and Rheanna's site was available.. The photos looked beautiful and the location was ideal. My wife couldn't believe such a beautiful existed only 90 minutes away from Los Angeles. The directions were easy to follow. The view was splendid. Our neighboring campers were just the right amount of distance away. Seclusion without total isolation. Everyone was very respectful of each other. My family really enjoyed a wonderful day and night at Hidden Falls Preserve! We hope to visit again before the end of summer.
