Haunted Hale Haus
Seriously Haunted/Terrifying!
I had to depart 2 days before my scheduled departure date due to lack of sleep. This cabin is definitely haunted, and it’s no joke! I expected minor events, ex, objects moving, etc. I wish that was all. No objects moved, however there were loud, strange noises throughout the entire night - every night, indoors and out. I ended up leaving the light on in the loft BR at all times. A dark figure appeared out of the corner of my eye, and walked by one night (the light was on). My service dog was terrified, and randomly barked at things that I couldn’t see. He was so frightened one night, that he was trembling. The noises were the worst, however. I can’t even describe them, they were so strange. During the day, it wasn’t as bad, though still present. The cabin needs to be seriously cleaned. I found mouse droppings behind the bed, and the floors were dirty. The bed was nicely made up. The kitchen has a stove, sink, & a few pots are provided, which is nice, but there are no cleaning supplies to actually clean the pots, and there are no dishes, which is odd? It’s a fully functional kitchen aside from this. The driveway isn’t marked in any way. At night, it would be impossible to find. An address or sign needs to be posted at the top of the driveway. I let the host know of my early departure due to the above, and I didn’t receive a response for 2 whole days, reminding me of their no refund policy. Thanks…, as well as asking me what I experienced. Not fun. Never again.

Haunted Hale Haus
We throughly enjoyed our time at Hale Haus!! The cabin is absolutely adorable and the view from the living room is amazing. We ate way too many s'mores sitting around the fire. Nothing spooky happened during our visit but my husband did get 3 Yahtzees in one game, maybe it was the spirits of the cabin! Highly recommend booking this place. We also checked out Indian Grinding Rock State Historic and took a self guided walking tour of Volcano during our time here. Both were very interesting and we all learned a lot about the history of the area. Sarah and Daniel were very responsive and provided clear instructions on how to access the cabin.

Haunted Hale Haus
We had a very relaxing long weekend with two dogs. Daniel and Sarah were super helpful. We went there during a heat wave and it was fine because the cabin is in a shady gulch which was about 10-15deg cooler than the surrounding areas. Hang out outside at night and watch the owls flying as they search for rodents

Cozy
Was exactly how it was described, very quiet and relaxing.. although we did experience a few creepy moments in cabin it was nothing to scary. It also had a very comfy feel to it so u get best of both worlds . Love the fire pit outside and the views are amazing. I would definitely recommend this stay for anyone who is looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
