We loved our stay at the Eagles Nest Cabin! Very comfortable bed, incredible shower, the compost toilet was also very convenient. Ken was a fantastic host - incredibly communicative, helpful, and respectful of privacy. We'll definitely be back!

The glamping site on Ken’s land was A M A Z I N G. Picturesque views from the eagle’s nest cabin with great amenities and beautiful cabin and outdoor bathroom. 10/10 recommend - I WILL be coming back.

Ken’s place was the perfect getaway! This tucked away, private, romantic, cozy, welcoming gem was an amazing find and we definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a little peace and quiet. The bed was extremely comfy and one can easily spend hours there staring out at the serene views of nature. The fridge/freezer combo was just big enough to store our food for the weekend. The kitchen area outside had everything one could want to make themselves a good meal. We brought our regular camping kitchen kit but Ken’s place did have also have pans, utensils, plates, cups if you aren’t traveling with those. The shower was excellent and perfect after a long day out. The composting toilet was easy to use and very convenient. Ken was awesome and very welcoming. He helped us check in, checked in on us via message, helped us out with anything we needed and helped us find some local stuff to do. All around an amazing experience that was just what we were looking for to celebrate our anniversary. Thank you so much Ken! We will definitely be back.

Amazing stay at Granite Mountain! We stayed at The Eagles Nest site which had a beautiful, shaded view of the valley during the day, and of the stars in the sky at night.
Ken was great, providing all the information we needed at every point of our stay, and the cabin was well stocked with everything that was mentioned as included.
We had a great time taking a day trip to the nearby olive oil tasting, a bakery, and coffee shop, before coming back to rest on the deck during the afternoon and begin cooking for dinner.
It was super peaceful and exactly what we wanted.
Excited to stay again in the future!

I went with my girlfriend and we had a wonderful time. The space was beautiful and private. It’s in the countryside in the sense that there isn’t a ton around but there are some roads with the occasional truck passing by. The cabins are surrounded by thick vegetation which provide most of the privacy, they aren’t far apart and the road is pretty close but you won’t see or think about any of that unless you have a really tall vantage point because of the brush in the way.
If your looking for the most secluded one the top campsite (not this one) is the most private. As it’s furthest from the house/parking lot and other cabins, it’s also highest on the hill so you will have the best view.
We did not leave the campsite for the one day and two nights we stayed we didn’t want to much more then lounge as the cabin and campsite were wonderful. I can’t speak for the surrounding area beyond saying you would have to get in your car and drive should you want to do anything other than sleep and hang out around the cabin.
The outhouse and cabin themselves were wonderful air conditioned and in perfect condition. Although I know better I would not have been surprised if you told me no one else has stayed there and it was just built.
As a heads up you may want to bring a swimsuit as nearby there are hot springs that are captured into a series of baths you can go to for 45$.
We didn’t speak to the host outside of texts but they seemed lovely.

Everything about this cabin was incredible. The views of the lake and mountain range are breathtaking, the kind that make you just want to sit back and soak it all in. The amenities were thoughtful and top-notch, which made it super easy to pack light and still feel totally comfortable.
The bed was cozy, the shower was warm, and the whole place felt like a peaceful off-grid retreat while still having everything you need. It’s the perfect mix of nature and comfort. If you’re looking to unplug and recharge in a beautiful setting, this is the spot. Highly recommend!

The place was clean, well stocked with all the essentials. The view from the cabin were amazing! We slept so well and had a relaxing weekend. The cabin is also close to an olive farm where you can do olive oil tasting, and close to a really cool art sculpture gallery.
We loved our stay here.

Awesome weekend getaway! We had a great time spending the weekend at the Black Cedar Haven. Ken was very attentive and responds very quickly to requests or questions making our stay smooth. Pet friendly camping so you can bring your pets who have separation anxiety haha.

The Eagles Nest- Mountain Cabin
I loved our little stay at the Eagles Nest 😊 it was so quaint and homey and the stars at night were sooooo lovely. My love and I brought our pup and she had the time of her life exploring! Went for a nice hike at Dripping Springs campground which was great. I recommend bringing your own pots and pans! Ken had some provided but would have liked to have more options! It was great views and lovely atmosphere!!! Would definitely come back here :)

The cabin was everything we had hoped for and more! The view was spectacular, the accommodations were comfortable, and everything was spotless upon arrival. Our host went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable and taken care of and even made restaurant recommendations (which were EXCELLENT!). The nest has everything you need to have a quiet, private and comfortable retreat. I can't wait to return!

I loved this site and highly recommend! It was the perfect mix of comfort and nature for an easy getaway from the city. There's lots of options for things to do around the are. I went for a hike, found a fun thrift store, and stopped by old town Temecula on my way out. Ken was an amazing host, his site is so thoughtfully designed and equipped. Will definitely stay again!

Seems strange to describe camping as “cute” but honestly, this cabin and surrounding accommodation truly was the cutest. The entire stay was perfection. From a super communicative and above and beyond host, Ken, to the amazing design and functionality of the cabin from entry door back to the shower/compostable toilet to the kitchen and picnic table with market lights. It has everything you need and it’s super clean. The stars at night were beautiful and best of all, my pup had the time of her life. Would highly recommend!

Awesome glamp site with a great view. This is one of the first I've stayed at where the pictures are what's actually there. The old school outhouse was fun for me and the shower was very comfortable. The host made regular contact and left some great recommendations for the local area. Im glad I took opportunity of that instead of guessing what's good in the area.

As first-time glampers, this experience was everything we hoped for—and more. The location was beautiful, peaceful, and perfectly situated: close enough to home in Temecula for convenience, yet far enough to truly disconnect and enjoy some quiet time.
The accommodations were spotless and everything was in perfect working order.
My wife and I absolutely loved our stay here and will definitely be back again!

We had a wonderful stay at the Granite Mountain Black Cedar glamping cabin! It was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway—comfortable bed, a well-stocked outdoor kitchenette (as well as indoor mini fridge), and peaceful surroundings. It truly felt like a perfect blend of nature and comfort. Ken has gone above and beyond providing all the camp essentials you could need such as flash lights, lantern, cooking utensils, outdoor chairs and a table with benches to enjoy outdoor meals! There is even a rain shower and private restroom. I will definitely be staying again.
One highlight stop of the trip was visiting the nearby Elim Hot Springs, only 4 minutes away! Highly recommend checking it out while you’re in the area for a rejuvenating soak.

The Black Cedar Haven- Cabin
So happy I found Ken’s spot while I was making an itinerary for my spring road trip. I live in the Bay Area now but literally grew up in SoCal! This was such a gem to find along my way to Joshua Tree. Nestled up in Aguanga, this aesthetically pleasing cabin with the outdoor area and shower was a nice treat. Being able to take a shower after camping for a few days was such a highlight. Really exceeded my expectations and Ken did a great job with how it all turned out. The cabin itself was enough to fit my dog and I for one night! The haze started rolling at night as I sat outside at the fire pit area. I slept comfortably and thoroughly enjoyed my stay! Hope I can come back if I’m down in the area again. Thank you Ken!

We had a great stay in the A frame and Ken is a fantastic host! The cabin is adorable, cozy and bed very comfortable. The site is very well equipped and made cooking dinner there fun. Beautiful views, enjoyed sitting by the fire at night. Toilet and shower easy to use and super clean. We had a great time and highly recommend!

Ken was awesome!
Very helpful and kind.

Hi Ken! Just wanted to send a huge thank you for the five-star experience at your EAGLES NEST Cabin at GRANITE MOUNTAIN. As an ER nurse, this was exactly what I needed to nourish my soul. Even with the rainy, cloudy weather, the views from atop the mountain were stunning. I loved cooking in the outdoor kitchen and eating at that picnic table nestled between the rocks and trees. Sipping coffee by the fire pit that first night with my dog Max while stargazing was magical. The shower had perfectly warm water with those nice towels and toiletries you provided. The composting toilet was a cool experience too! But the absolute best part was the silence and solitude away from other campers - chef’s kiss! Thank you for creating such an amazing place to enjoy nature. I will definitely be back! 🥰

Ken was extremely communicative and gracious with his hospitality during our stay at Granite Mountain. The cabins were extremely well-maintained and clean, and so was the cooking area and picnic benches. We cannot recommend this place enough to folks looking for a nice, secluded getaway in the Palomar Mountain area!

I am so impressed - what an experience!
Firstly, Ken was an exceptional communicator. He sent all the information we needed when we needed it.
Next, the site was so thoughtfully and lovingly crafted. I’ve stayed at many hipcamps, and this set up by far takes the cake. From the cabin, to the showers, to the kitchen station, to the lighting, to the signage and thoughtful placement of each and every single detail (I could keep going…) - everything was handmade and very well crafted with so much love.
Lastly, these days, it’s really hard to find an experience like this where the priority isn’t to make money. Sure, we all need to make a living, but this experience’s intention felt like much more than that. There was clearly a lot of heart and soul that went into this. Ken wants to share his land and provide an experience that brings joy to his guests. The value exchange is just perfect.

This was the perfect place to relax, surrounded by amazing vistas and a cozy cabin. Everything was comfortable and convenient, including a secluded outdoor space for cooking, eating, and sitting by the fire to all the necessary amenities. A great location as well - definitely would recommend!!
