Campout in a beautifully renovated vintage trailer. Bring your own bedding or sleeping bags and pillows. There is a full size bed in the front of the Airstream comfortable for 1 or two under 6 ft tall people. The dining table folds down into a table comfortable for shorter humans or children. This trailer is set up for DRY camping. The lights run of solar and their is a porta potty about 100 feet from the trialer. The refrigerator is to store non perishables (bring a cooler and ice) also consider bringing a camp stove to cook on or cook at the barn communal area where we have BBQs to use. You may also cook over the Propane Fire Pit anything on a skewer over the flames or pots and pans on the flames... Feel free to ask any questions, we will get back to you ASAP. I love this van so much! I drive it once a week to keep it moving. It sleeps two adults comfortably up top. The bench seat folds down for more sleeping. Ideally this is great for just two people. It is vintage with new beautiful upholster and curtains. Bring all your own bedding and pillows. The fridge is good for dry storage. Bring your own water and a wash tub for washing dishes outside, etc. etc. I am open to selling it for the right price. A new paint job would be nice but If I sell it someone may want to paint it a different color. If I could get 50k and discount 5k for paint so 45k I might consider selling it. I loved everything about Freedog Farms! I checked in late at night, and Sierra and Darin were kind enough to stay up and greet me at the gate. Not only that, they gave me a welcoming tour as well. Very kind, responsive, and helpful hosts, would definitely recommend this place to others.

Camp Out @ Freedog Farms
We all loved camping at Sierra and Darin's land. It is a beautiful and quite serene area where groups of campers get quite a bit of privacy and space from others. The hosts are so kind, communicatice, and welcoming. We really enjoyed the welcome tour, learning about all the creative projects they have started to expand the services offered to campers. We will be going back and recommending to our friends and family.

Sierra and Darin have an epic place to camp! Their property is well maintained and clean. They provide gas fire pits at the campsites and ports potties throughout. The best part was their hospitality and open arms for new friends. They have a stocked bar and welcomed us with a great selection of beers to sip on as we took our little ones to see the chickens and goats. I do think that our dog had the most fun of us all. Being off-leash and able to explore was her favorite thing, and she enjoyed hanging out with the other pups of the campground. We will certainly be back, as one night was not enough.

I’m new to camping and this was my first campsite with my dog. What a wonderful campsite it was! Sierra & Darin are super passionate about everything they have to offer guests and they give you a tour when you arrive. There are several water stations on the property for dogs to drink from. Lots of land to hike around with your dog off leash. The umbrellas at the picnic tables have lights on the underside which was cool. Sites are spaced out nicely. It’s a great place to stay and I will definitely go back.

My husband, dog, and I spent two nights at Freedog Farms. Sierra and Darin were welcoming and friendly. We loved the tour of the property and the beer was great. The views were amazing, I would love to see it in spring when everything is green.

What a great weekend! The extraordinarily friendly owners meet you at the gate and you get a tour of the camp. Beautiful rolling hills of the central coast, large camp sites, and even though it's right off the freeway, you feel miles from civilization. Our dogs loved cruising around off leash to smell all the smells. Highly recommend!

Darin gave me a personal tour of the whole farm and all its sites in a quad. Was so welcoming, gave me taste of a couple of the many beers they have on tap. Most sites have propane fire place and a port a potty close by. Sweet trailer sites too. Will definitely go back and tell others. A top Hipcamp for sure.

Had a wonderful experience at FreeDog Farms! Darin and Sierra are very hospitable and accommodating and overall, just lovely people. Their flexibility on my late arrival was much appreciated and getting a welcome drink in the form of a beer tasting was perfect…it was just what i needed to decompress after a frantic few hours of rounding up supplies and packing up my car for a mid-week camping trip. It became obvious that being great hosts just comes naturally to them. Darin took me for a tour of their property during daylight hours allowing me to survey the different campsites for future camping trips on their property (which will, without a doubt, be in the not-too-distant future). His enthusiasm for what he has built is warranted and contagious! I’m a big fan. The camping was not lacking in any area - easy to find, close to civilization with a 3mile drive to the nearest store, yet on 50 vista filled acres of hilly open space with intermixed patches of forest. I had as much solitude as i wanted and would return to the main area for human interaction and wi-fi, when needed. Thank you, D & S for doing what you’re doing and how you’re doing it and I’m looking forward to future trips!

Vintage Trailer @ Freedog Farms
We were only able to stay 1 night but it was truly an amazing experience. Sierra and Darin have built an amazing space on such a beautiful property of land. From the first second we met them, they were very welcoming. They made us feel like we were home. Their hard work in the whole space shows. We brought our Australian Shepherd with us, who didn’t want to leave. We are 11/10 coming back, hopefully for more than just one night. I recommend for anybody that wants/needs to be surrounded by nature and good people.

This property is AMAZING! Darin and Sierra have gone above and beyond to make campers feel right at home. There is so much to do on the property, and so much close by also. The quiet is unbelievable. Stars are beautiful! We even saw some deer! Thanks Darin and Sierra for making me and my parents feel welcome! We will be back! :)

We didn’t know what to expect when we pulled into freedom dog but we were pleasantly surprised by the level of hospitality. We were greeted with a beer and an atv ride around the premises to choose our favorite spot. We found it at the top of the mountain overlooking the surrounding rolling hills. Oh and we got engaged there. 10/10 will come again.

I wanted to move in!!! Was magical there with bunnies, deer, beautiful blue birds, and a gorgeous place to stay!!! Our hosts couldn’t be kinder!!!! And my little dogs were so happy to be off leash…I will be back, leave the lights on for me!

Perfect overnight for an evening. Drove down from Morrow Bay on the way to San Diego. Beautiful views upon awaking and got some quality regional surf recommendations from the hosts. Would come again next time through !!

We absolutely loved our stay on Sierra and Darin’s land! From the moment we arrived, they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome—greeting us with a delicious drink, giving us a fun side-by-side tour of the property, and hosting a lively community BBQ with music, a bonfire, and plenty of opportunities to meet new friends. Our campsite was spotless and thoughtfully set up, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay: a propane fire ring (with propane provided), a hammock, a picnic table, and even a light-up umbrella that added the perfect touch in the evenings. We had such a memorable experience and will, without a doubt, be back!

Stayed at Sierra's and Darin's campsite, great experience, we arrived late at night but Sierra was waiting for us and showed us our site, it included firepit, tables and we quickly set up camp, we were traveling with 2 kids (5yo and 8mo). Left early but we had a great experience. Loved the private space that we had. No onw else around.

Darin and Sierra are very kind and generous hosts, who are deservedly proud of being one of the top hipcamps in California. The property is beautiful with lots of options for various types of campers. Can’t beat the sunsets, privacy, or location. Very dog friendly.

Darrin and Sierra are really good people with an epic property. They were really fun and welcoming. We went on a tour of the property, which had so many spots to choose from. For our first HipCamp adventure, we really picked the best. This place is close to everything - Santa Barbara, Solvang, wine tasting - you name it! We’ll be going back soon.
