Markus was an amazing host! He greeted us upon arrival and made sure we knew where everything was for the night. He gave us an information packet which we could reference for restaurant recommendations and many other things. In the morning he walked us around his garden and we were able to ask him lots of questions about his garden and the surrounding area. In addition he gave us the ability to purchase honey and other products which all are super delicious!

The gardens were beautiful and the tomatoes (thank you for sharing) were like candy! Markus was a great host, this was an easy stay. It was a great spot to visit our son at UCSC and explore all that Santa Cruz had to offer. Definitely recommend a glass of wine in the garden before you turn in for the night!

Small but adore than adequate for our 25' class C. Flat, clean, easy to access. 15 minutes from the giant Redwoods. Even closer to the breach. Friendly host.

Very nicely maintained site and beautiful backyard. It had all the conviences and was very close to Santa Cruz, Soquel and Capitola. Also, very quiet and peaceful location. Marcus was an exceptional host-he was very friendly and helpful.

We enjoyed our stay at Markus’s lovely property. The property is beautiful and close to many great attractions. We were wanting to stay somewhere in Santa Cruz before leaving WiFi and restaurants for Big Sur. This was the perfect spot! Mark had great recommendations and was great to chat with. We bought some incredible honey as well. Thank you for hosting us, Markus!

Our GPS through RV Life took us past Markus' house, so we had to retrace our steps. Google maps is spot on. The space available looked quite small, but in fact there was plenty of room for our 24' Itasca Navion AND we were able to put the slide out! The front of the property is very welcoming - clean & tidy with a pretty front yard - yet it really gives little indication of what lies in the backyard!!! An absolute work of art, full of plants and produce of all sorts of shapes and sizes... a delight to the senses!
Marcus was a great communicator, very thoughtful and friendly...unfortunately we never had the pleasure of meeting him in person.
The location is superb if you're traveling Hwy 1/101 AND convenient to checking out Santa Cruise. We downloaded an audio driving tour from Get Your Guide, and had a little user error at the beginning, but ended up enjoying it and appreciating how much we saw that we would not have otherwise known about... it cost me $4!!
We hadn't originally planned to stop in Santa Cruz, but had to have some work done on our RV, which necessitated the stay. Very happy to have found Markus and his little piece of paradise! Would definitely stay again if we come back.

Fantastic location; a bike ride away from Capitola and Santa Cruz.
Normally when traveling up and down Cali I try to stay at a HarvestHost as I dont need full hook-ups for one night (with onboard power and water) but it was a luxury to have wifi and all the mod cons.
Its a little right to back into if you have a camper trailer (normally I don't) and remember to have your sewer cal "lock key" to get the cap off... I didn't!

We arrived to find that this was really just someone’s drive, and is not in any way private due to the fact it’s on a normal residential street. The name “farm” is slightly misleading.
If you have an RV or larger campervan, it would be okay, but if you need to cook and eat outside (like us in our small VW) it doesn’t make any sense.
Nice area, and fine if you’re a couple just wanting to park and bed down, but if you have kids or want any level of privacy, this isn’t the spot.
We ended up not staying at all and heading to a hotel. It was a shame, since we wanted to camp and could have gone elsewhere if the photos and description was a little more transparent.

This was a great base camp to explore Santa Cruz and Capitola for the weekend. We were here to celebrate my wife's birthday and Uber was easily accessible to get to downtown Santa Cruz and Capitola.

I really appreciate the other reviews that sent us to Dynomite Farm -- and want to add my voice to the chorus singing its praises. This was the ideal stay for our itinerary, coming down to Santa Cruz along the Pacific Coast Highway from the North Bay. Markus is a wonderful, thoughtful host whose pre-trip communication was nothing short of perfect. Looking forward to booking here again sometime very soon...

Dynamite Farms was a great stop for us! Markus is extremely accommodating to his guests and to really appreciate his property you must see it. He is truly gifted with a green thumb and everything is organic starting with the soil. We sampled his eggs, honey and garlic. Great experience!

This was an extraordinary experience amidst its serene and picturesque setting. We truly enjoyed immersing ourselves in the beauty of this organic farm and homestead. The tranquil ambiance allowed us to disconnect from the chaos of everyday life and reconnect with nature. We enjoyed eating fresh blueberries off the vine and got some fresh homemade honey to go.
The commitment to organic farming practices at organic farm stay was evident throughout our visit. We explored the farm and marveled at the abundant variety of organic produce.
Interacting with the chickens was a delightful experience. These well-cared-for creatures added a touch of charm to our stay. Spending time with them allowed us to connect with farm life and appreciate the simplicity of nature.
The host is passionate advocate for organic farming. He went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. His warm hospitality was commendable. He provided us with valuable insights about the farm's history and practices. It was clear that he took great pride in his work and was dedicated to sustainable living.
