22 acres of camp sites and another 40 acres nextdoor to a hang gliders and paragliders landing. We have restrooms with showers attached to a geodesic dome on property. BBQ , water at sites. A seasonal 2 acre pond. We are about 25mi from sequoia and Kings Canyon right off the Highway 180 and a close drive from restaurants, stores. Beautiful views. We strive to make sure you have an amazing experience in the outdoors. We are still working on making the campground 100% so sorry in advance but what we are lacking we will make up for it with making your experience memorable hope to meet everyone soon P.S I got 6 things ask you to do while you are here 1.Enjoy your time here 2. If you need anything or have concerns say something ( I will try to accommodate the best I can) 3.Have fun 4. Only TP in toilets please 5. Make memories 6. Be respectful to your neighbors ( Get to know them. I don’t really have quite hours just keep in mind some ppl might be waking up early to hike in the park)

I loved the campground for remote with all the amenities from flush toilets to showers I even had some service with Verizon. Spencer was a great host and me and my dog Jake loved it. Definitely recommend

We arrived after 9pm due to a long day driving from Las Vegas and also visiting Sequoia National Park. When we pulled in, Spencer, the owner, greeted us warmly and escorted us to our tent site. We only stayed a single nite, and left early on our way to San Francisco, so we didn't explore the property. However, the place was very spacious and everything was as described in the listing. I would stay here again and wish Spencer much future success as he continues to build and share very laid back, peaceful, and happy place.

Spencer is a very kind and thoughtful host. After spending the day forest bathing in Sequoia, it was such a relief to come back to camp and enjoy a warm shower. The Wi-Fi connection was strong, and cell service worked perfectly, which made things very convenient. The location is also great—about 40 minutes to Sequoia National Park and roughly an hour to the General Sherman Tree. The distance wasn’t bad at all, and the atmosphere at the camp was relaxed and welcoming. Communication with Spencer was smooth, and he provided all the information we needed ahead of time with kindness and clarity. I definitely recommend giving this place a try!

Definitely go here! We had a fantastic stay in one of the yurts; Spencer was very welcoming and we loved meeting his dogs. The views are phenomenal, bathrooms are clean, showers had very hot water and great pressure. 10/10 would stay again!

Spencer was such a gracious host. We loved bringing our families for the weekend. We've already planned to come back for the winter. The bathroom and showers are very clean! There's bbq pits, yurts, tent camping and water available at the campsites.

Looks can be deceiving - initially the place looked a bit lonely, run down, and chaotic, but once the host showed up all changed. He is very friendly and makes sure you feel alright. We VERY much appreciated the clean restrooms (after barely surviving Sunset Campground up in Kings Canyon). Spencer‘s place is SOO much better!

What a great place! Spencer is amazing and a wonderful host. Everything we needed for our 3 nights and very close to Kings Canyon and Sequoia NP. Would absolutely recommend and come back for more! Great vibe, spacious tent grounds and amenities. Thanks Spencer!

Wow! What an amazing spot! This is a must visit. Spencer is a wonderful host who is building and running this site with so much passion. We spent the evening on a kayak on the pond and watching the amazing sunset.

This is our second year camping at Dunlap retreat.. we loved camping there.. Spencer is so friendly, he lets us borrow things which we forget to bring! There is also the sweetest dog on the campground! Accessibility to sequioa park is also the best!

Nice laid back camping. Campsites are a really good size even when setting up multiple tents. From what I heard, he's constantly improving so the property will only get better with time. Will definitely return.

Had a great stay at the Dunlap retreat. Bathroom & showers were fantastic. We camped on RV lot #1 which is closest to the bathroom. The Hipcamp app is a little confusing. The photos make it seem that you're site includes a Yurt which is not the case. Awesome views of nearby mountains.

The Group Camp site was everything indicated on the website and so much more. We stayed at the site for 2 nights at the end of a multi-day road trip. Our host, Spencer, greeted us promptly with a smile making us feel welcome. He helped make sure our site fit our needs, and gave us a full run down of the entire campground. The facilities were better than many state parks we used, and Spencer was great about recommending places in the area. We would definitely stay there again!

This place is so awesome! The campsites were well spaced out and it was close to the Sequoia National Park entrance. Bathrooms were nice and spacious and the zip line and giant trampoline kept our kids busy! Spencer and his daughter Ashlyn were so nice and accommodating. Our kids really miss Ashlyn and made sure we would come back to visit in the future. I give this place 10 stars out of 5!

We loved our stay at Dunlap Canyon Retreat. Spencer helped us a lot with more things than I can name. He greeted us on our arrival and helped us with several camper issues. He was always around or nearby when we needed him. The water here was good for drinking. He really is like a concierge. He's a problem solver. We spent 6 nights here and it was a quiet and relaxing time. We highly recommend Dunlap Canyon and Spencer and the little community of Dunlap. It was a good location for accessing Sequoia and King's Canyon national parks.
