Adults only. A natural hideaway for You and Your's. No curfews or quiet hours.. Check in at noon. Extended check out, automatically granted until 4:00pm, so relax and enjoy. Detour N De Luz, offers camping experiences that are unique and outside the status quo. Campers are given freedom of choice. Within a 10 acre range of sloping hillside, majestic rock formations and lush exotic landscape, you can find your own ideal camp spot or choose one of our leveled spots, already cleared of dry brush and ready for above ground standard tent camping. Dogs allowed on leash only and be familiar with Southern California's indigenous wildlife proper protocol, when accompanied by your canine. The camping area resides on the North side of the Via Cordoniz access road, starting at Deadwood Dome site and the Detour N De Luz sign at top of staircase, ranging North West 3/4 of the mountain up, and 10 acres left. Please be mindful of the property markers, and respect our neighboring property lines. You are responsible for your own fitness in hiking the inclining trails and staircases. Hiking or walking sticks are highly recommended. A shared cooking area, has been cleared, providing use of the propane gas grill (campers must supply own 1 lb green canister), standard size cooler, small fire extinguisher, and carved or cut seating. Nearby, a shared pit toilet with a small 5 gallon black solar shower bag, shower toga, toilet paper, glass wash basin and pouring bottle-for minor freshening, vanity mirror and 5 gallon water jug, refilled daily- or more frequently, if needed, all located in a pallet wood stall. Two additional 3 persons sleeping tents are both folded and stored at the cooking area, for guest use. Please leave an additional $5 per night, per sleeping tent used and fold back neatly, before check out. If you would like the tent set up and taken down for you, we charge $10 per tent set up breakdown fee , plus $5 per night tent rental. Dignity and respect for the experience of every Being, is of paramount importance. Thanks to the constructive feedback received from prior Hipcampers, we designed this option in a prime location with flattened earth, in an intimate setting, that includes a natural dome structure for campers to make their own shade as they see fit, outside their tent. The location is set much closer to the access road, keeps you within visual distance to your vehicle, has a private access stairway and is sectioned separate from the open space pick-a-plot camping of Nature done Naturally. Be advised that the Lower Pocket site is situated above the road and a significant incline exists between the entrance and the site(s). This will be mitigated with steps being carved and installed now, however it is the responsibility of each guest to insure their own physical fitness can permit them access up and down. With it's own designated entrance and sectioned space, you get the benefit of being closest to the shared cooking area and pit toilet, as well as the access road, without having to deal with outside guests walking past or through your space. This spot has an option to add on one or two additional sites (without shade structures), at a reduced rate, within the sectioned space to increase your guest occupancy from two persons, to four or six total. One complimentary Tarot card reading and Western/Eastern combined astrology review, available by appointment, in advance, with a two night minimum stay (gratuities appreciated).

Designated 10 acres of paradise, where you can pick your plot to camp on. Adults over the age of 21 years, only. Ready to camp spots have been developed with pre-leveled ground, hazard mitigation and cleared of dry-brush, for your convenience. Should you discover a non-developed spot on your own, a hazard mitigation check, done by campground personnel, is available, upon request. A communal BBQ and grill area has been cleared of brush. Nearby you can find a restroom stall, with pit toilet and privacy boards for changing and freshening up. A wash basin bowl and pitcher is available for handwashing and bird bathing. Enclosed is a solar shower bag, or you can use the natural tree post to hang your own small solar shower. A maximum of four reservations, allowing 4 guests each, are bookable online for this area, on a first come, first pick basis. We ask you be mindful of the property markers and not trespass onto neighboring properties. A tarot card reading is available by appointment, in advance, with a two night minimum stay (gratuity encouraged at your discretion). Adults 21 years + only. Large clearing under two middle aged oak trees, with tree swing and picnic area and stools. This site is located roadside, but tucked back under the trees, providing a semi private ambiance overlooking a creek full of tropical lush palm trees and ivy. Parking is directly across from site and behind within earshot. No hiking the inclined trails to unload your gear! The shared cooking area and shared pit toilet stall with solar shower bag, is located down the road, up the inclining hillside. Good physical fitness is required to walk these trails and hiking stick strongly recommended. This site can comfortably fit two done tents or one large two room tent. Tent rental can be added for $5 per night per tent, two 3 man dome tents available. $5 flat fee additional for tent to be set up prior to arrival and taken down after you check out.

Camping Crater

Craters are dug out from the ground level, approximately 6.5' - 7' down at Centerpoint and approximately 12' - 18' Median. Each is tucked into its own private hillside slope, with panoramic views of the lush valley terrain, scattered boulders, palm trees and a typically blue sky. Please note that campsites are at elevated locations, requiring a moderately steep climb up stairs and slopes. Guests are responsible for their own health and fitness, in determining if the hike between parking and camp areas, will be too strenuous. Packing your gear into lighter weight bundles, is recommended. Optional bellman services are available, by campground personnel, for an additional $25 on arrival and $25 on departure, that include a maximum of four foot-trips hauling your camping gear from car to campsite, or campsite to car, each direction. Overflow parking for a 2nd or 3rd vehicle, is available further down our access road for an additional fee of $10 per night. The Drive-In, is nestled perfectly under the shade of a old oak tree, directly at the entrance to the property. This is also at street level, just a few footsteps from the access road. Enjoy the convenience of having your vehicle accessible from your tent. This wide area leads past papyrus and a macadamia nut tree, to a leveled clearing that can accommodate one tent, and slightly above it leads further to a dry 3 + 3 vertical pallets size platform to pitch a second tent, or just hang out on. Below the platform channels are dug to redirect any potential moisture. The shared cooking area and shared pit toilet stall, is located a modest hike up the hill. Be advised that there is an incline uphill approximately 1000+ feet. This is for two vehicles only, sorry NO RVs. Thank you! Adults 21+ years only.

Camping at Allison’s DeTour De Luz was awesome. She was very accommodating to our needs and helped us get all set up at shady oaks. Highly recommend that spot as it is shaded, and had an ample amount of room for our 2 person tent + our dog. Nice views as well if you were to hike up the hill and if you were to campy up there, but we preferred the bottom due to my partner being pregnant, and Allison helped us out a bunch with getting us all set up.

Relaxing and peaceful camping trip. Was greeted by Allie upon arriving which was pleasant. I locked myself out of my car and she offered to help me. Even though that happened I still had an amazing time! Thank you Allie!!

I’d absolutely recommend to my friends and family to go meet Allison and explore the campsite. Her next level hospitality and the awe-inspiring nature made me immediately want to book again. She even brought fresh frozen peach treats for my dog and I! Tue directions were clear, communication was good, and her flexibility made for a stress free 🏕️ experience 🤙

Allison was very welcoming and kind, she was present upon arrival to provide water and a machette to clear much of the brush. Unfortunately we were unable to camp here. The site itself was extremely overgrown and on a sloping, sandy hillside. Maybe if we had our backpacking gear we would have had better luck, but we were unable to find a flat , clear location suitable for our tent despite 1.5 hours of hiking around, cutting down brush and encountering several rattle snakes. The grill area was nice but the only clear, flattened area. This property has much potential but not the day we selected. Luckily another hipcamp in the area was able to accommodate us.
