Beautiful cabin and hosts. Away from all distractions, we really enjoyed this place. Hosts were top, amazing views and property, lots of wildlife, great get away. So relaxing. Wish we had a longer time there. Thanks Sara and Liam, and Stanley too.

We had an incredible stay at the cabin. The views were stunning all day long, the little terrace was a great place to hang, the interior was super cozy and comfortable, we had all the amenities we could have possibly wished for, you’re walking distance from a cute swimming hole and a short drive from bigger river beaches and gigantic redwoods. The hosts were delightful and available for everything we needed, including the adorable dog Stanley who kept us company and guided us on a little hike to the creek

Salmon Creek Mountain View Cabin
The cabin was lovely and we really enjoyed having lots of amenities while being remote. The host was super nice, and we would definitely go again. It is quite a drive on a nonpaved road for about a mile, so good to be prepared for that, and definitely 4x4 was needed for the driveway where it was steep. Being prepared for that, we had a great time!

I had a wonderful stay at Liam and Sara’s peaceful mountain retreat in Humboldt County. The cabin is surrounded by miles of trails, wildlife, and the calming sounds of Salmon Creek—complete with a perfect little swimming hole. Their dog Stanley was a sweet and playful companion for my pup, and Liam went above and beyond to help transport luggage up/down the steep drive (a big help since I don't have 4WD). The cabin itself was clean, comfortable, and fully stocked with everything we needed. It's remote—about 20 minutes off Hwy 101—but the serenity and connection to nature make it more than worth the drive. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unplug and recharge in the redwoods.

another incredible stay here. stanley the host pup was happy to greet me right away. sara was very welcoming again as well, and offered me a reiki session for an extra charge. it was incredible. highly recommend if you are open to that kind of thing. i really enjoy the cabin in this weather. it was not really rainy, but very moody and foggy. i was cozy and wish i could have stayed longer.

Picturesque Pond Retreat
We had a nice stay, and Sara was flexible with us having an extra person because of last minute changes.
The swimming hole on their property is beautiful and very private. We did have quite a trek to get down and back, so be prepared for that.
Bathroom and kitchen areas had everything we needed.
The hosts’ sweet kid befriended my daughter right away and they were very cute together.

Absolutely beautiful stay. Stanley, the host pup, immediately welcomed me and escorted me down to the creek where we swam and hung out together. The hosts are absolutely wonderful. The set up was so cute and cozy. Absolutely loved my stay here. The sunset was absolutely unreal and the stargazing was stellar.

Salmon Creek Mountain View Cabin
We loved our break on Sara and Liam’s beautiful farm. The place was perfect and we were very comfortable. I was almost disappointed that the wifi worked. We enjoyed a glorious long weekend swimming in rivers and drove to Shelter Cove, which is a spectacular drive. It’s remote but not too hard to find and Sara was so helpful with any questions.

This site was very remote and off grid but had all the amenities you would need to stay. A propane stove top and refrigerator with a full bathroom and propane water heater that worked great. The road up to the property was long, windy but mostly paved. The last 1.5 miles was a dirt road but I was able to make it in my Class B+ RV without 4x4. I would highly recommend this stay!

Sarah and Liams place is serene and magical. accommodations were comfortable with all the basic amenities, and the dog was great company on a short hike down to the creek. we highly recommend staying at Dark Fairy.

The cabin lodging was perfect for what we wanted-- a dry, comfortable spot from which to do some daily hikes and treks out in the local state parks!
The amenities definitely met expectations and Sara was very kind in the time we had to speak together. Even during rainy season, it's worth a visit if you want something more remote. Seeing the Redwoods in the rain without having to go primitive to do so was great!

My wife and I loved staying at Sara and Liam's property. It felt like we were far out but it was still easily accessible. Their beautiful cabin had everything we needed and with amazing views of the forest. They took the time to get to know us but still respected our privacy. Looking forward to staying there again.

The tent was incredibly well-equipped with a beautiful view. Sara was there to greet me even though I arrived later than expected, around 9pm. She also helped guide me to get my non 4WD car back up the driveway the next morning - I failed to listen to the instructions about not going down the driveway! Very grateful for the help and her hospitality.

We loved camping at Sara and Liam’s place! The area was very remote and the forest felt wild in a magical way! Lots of critters, comfortable set up, great location. We would love to come back and stay next time we’re in the area

What an amazing little paradise! Def requires 4x4 to get to but if you get past that criteria it’s a beautiful oasis created by the hosts. All well appointed and very clean and new. Pure clear skies when the clouds are gone. Great stargazing!

It was an amazing 2 night stay at the glamping tent. Sara and Liam has such an awesome setup with the private outdoor shower, composting toilet (that is very clean and well maintained), sink, picnic bench, and great outdoor stove - all next to the tent. The tent is cozy and has all the amenities we needed.
We also spent some time at the creek in their backyard (5-10 min downhill hike). It was so refreshing and the water was so clear that we could see some small fishes in it. And everything was so peaceful and private!
My wife and I highly recommend Sara and Liam's glamping tent for a peaceful and comfortable stay.

Picturesque Pond Retreat
We had a wonderful stay at Sara and Liam’s glamping site Picturesque Pond Retreat. We could tell a lot of thought and care went into outfitting the site: a solar powered charging station, composting toilet (which was very spacious and well maintained), full shower, cook stove, sink and every utensil/equipment you would need to cook your own meal. The inside of the glamping tent was well-appointed, clean, comfortable and spacious.
The property was lovely. We walked down to the creek and had a little swim. The property is not far off of Avenue of the Giants for anyone planning to enjoy those sites.

Sara and Liam’s cabin was exactly what we were looking for — remote, quiet and comfortable. The location was far enough from the main highway to feel off the grid, but close enough to town to grab things if needed. Sara greeted us upon check in and showed us around the cabin, making sure we were all set for our 2 night stay. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed — kitchen and cookware to prep breakfast and dinner, a grill out on the porch that we took advantage of each night, and the views of the mountains and redwoods during sunset/sunrise topped it off. Highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a cozy stay while visiting the Redwoods in Humboldt!

Great experience. Gorgeous sunset. Sara greeted us in person and showed us around the house. The next morning we were greeted by their super cute dog!! The location can be tricky. Seems to me google map is accurate. Still, it’s better arriving before the sunset.

Sara and Liam’s studio was amazing they are located well off the main roads to view the stars at night. They were very welcoming and their dog is the sweetest. Like they posted I recommend 4x4 to get to their location but 2wheel would make it to the driveway. They were very clear on the directions and what to expect. Absolutely amazing stay.

Sara and Liam had a wonderful place and were amazing hosts! The scenery from the balcony was beautiful with mountains and forest in the background as far as you can see! The sunsets were amazing over the mountains and we saw so much wildlife, a diversity of birds, rabbits, and deer! They have so much natural land to hike with a river just in their backyard. The guest house we stayed in was perfect for our two dogs, our 7 year old daughter, and our cat! They provided pots and pans, utensils, sheets and blankets, towels…you name it. It was so comfortable and a very well kept place. We loved their giant puppy too. He was the sweetest pooch. This place is located only 30 minutes from the Avenue of the Giants, so it was a perfect stay for us. We will be back because there is so much to do in this area and much of it is within an hours drive. We had the best time! We have no complaints at all.

Sara and Liam's cabin spot is quite a winding drive off 101, and by the time I arrived I felt like I was indeed off grid. Such a cozy place to watch the sunset, fall asleep in pure darkness, and wake up to sunny mountain air and percolate some coffee. I chose the area for its proximity to Humboldt Redwood State Park, and it made for a lovely place to spend a couple nights as I visited the park. Sara and Liam were easy to work with, and gave me recommendations on where to grab groceries on my way in and their favorite spots to see in the Redwood Park. The cabin is clean and simple yet outfitted with modern conveniences (plumbing, lil fridge, gas stovetop). I'd recommend this spot if you're looking for quietude and nature.

Cute cabin and sweet family. The road was an adventure, so do not take a 2wheel drive. The scenery was beautiful, and the Ravens were a treat.

This studio in the woods is a great place to stay. They have everything you could need to enjoy a relaxing getaway (shower, toilet, stovetop, mini fridge, and more). The location is nice and secluded, tucked away near the forest. Would recommend!
