Creature comforts

Dare 2 Dream Farms began in 2009 as a small scale egg farm. Today we raise and sell chickens from Los Angeles to San Francisco and sell eggs at over 20 egg retailers from Santa Barbara to Los Angeles county. The farm has 1.5 acres of organic produce growing. Nestled in the back of a canyon with old growth oaks and eucalyptus, the birds chirping in the canyon in the wee hours of the morning and the beautiful stars at night are two of the things that make the farm a magical place to live, work, and host others.

1964 Trailer on Peaceful Property

97% (123)
Onsite RV/trailer · Sleeps 2
Enjoy the peaceful countryside in a charming 1964 Little Dipper vintage camper tucked away in a small canyon on a 40-acre working farm. The camper is refurbished with lovely aromatic cedar woodwork, a handmade dining table and comfortable queen bed. Lots of windows and colors make for an airy and bright space. It is powered entirely with solar for LED lighting, colorful accent lights, and outlets. Disconnect and enjoy the campfire, stars, and fresh air. Only 5 min from town. Enjoy a walk around the farm to view the garden and animals (please do not touch the animals without assistance.) Fire pit with wood available for $7 a bundle. Trash, cleaning supplies, and basic kitchen supplies are available. There is an abundance of great hiking trails and bike routes here on the Central Coast. A few beaches are very close, as well as a hot spring about 30 minutes away. The area around us is known for great wine. There is a location in Lompoc called the Wine Ghetto which is a collection of wineries, tasting rooms, and wine cellars from vineyards in the Santa Rita Hills. There is a great local coffee shop in town for WIfi as well. A guide to the local area is provided in the camper for suggestions on restaurants, bars, local attractions and activities. Wi-Fi is available, but spotty. If you need it for work please do not book. Limited cell phone service. We are a working farm. Every day at 8:00 work begins on the farm, and although we do not often use heavy equipment and tractors, there are cars coming on going as well as dogs barking. Work begins between 9:30 and 10:00am on the weekends. The outdoor shower is great for drinking a beer while showering. The camper does not have AC, or a refrigerator. There is a solar system in place to charge devices and to have lighting, but won't support hair dryers, straighteners, power tools, or any other high draws over 10AMPS
