The Bluff at Curtis Creek
This is what Hipcamp is all about: beautiful views, private river, and totally secluded. Our group comfortably fit 4 tents at the Bluff site, which comes with a big picnic table, food storage box, and fire pit overlooking the valley.
The weather was amazing while we were visiting and we lounged in the natural pools all day (2 minute walk from site.)
The site is also very easy to find. We had no issues with our GPS and the hosts have tons of helpful signs to guide you once you're there.
Will definitely be back!

The Bluff at Curtis Creek
Such a great spot! I spent 2 nights at The Bluff last weekend with my fiance and dog, Yogi, and it was a perfect getaway. Having a fire on the bluff was outstanding, however, be sure to check if you can have a fire depending on the weather as this area can get extremely dry. The swimming holes on the creek are the best I have found in the area by far and we had a great time in the water. If you have a super hyper dog like me, be careful of the slippery rocks. Next time, honestly, I would probably leave my dog since he keep wrecking himself on the rocks. But he is literally the most hyper dog ever, so if you have a mellow dog you are good to go. Only other thing is watch out for the poison oak this time of year...it was everywhere. But in terms of a private site with its own swimming hole and the bluff view, you really can't beat this hipcamp. Highly recommend for a couple or small group to enjoy the swimming holes, cruise into Sonora and enjoy the wineries in Murphy's.

The Bluff at Curtis Creek
We have stayed and loved a few different Hip Camps, but this place was the BEST ever. We were in heaven with the entire campsite to ourselves. We cooked all of our meals on the fire overlooking the mountains, explored all of the cool towns nearby, and even went swimming in the GORGEOUS river after our hosts showed us where to jump in. It was the most relaxing weekend in the most beautiful place. We will be back (hopefully with friends and family) to share this spot. My highest recommendations, especially if you have a pet who loves to be outside and off leash.

We had a lot of fun at The Bluff. However you definitely need 4 wheel drive to get up their drive way. It's very steep and isn't paved. There were sections where the drive way was erroded and very difficult to drive on.
Other than that we loved it!! We'd definitely camp there again.

The Bluff at Curtis Creek
This place is awesome. It's exactly the kind of place that I come to Hipcamp to find. My three criteria when I look for spots are: privacy / space between sites, dog friendly, and water to swim in. The Bluff met all my criteria. We went in early April, which was a bit of a gamble, but we got lucky on the weather. Hot enough the first day to swim in both of the swimming holes. (Note that to get down to the swimming holes takes a bit of climbing.) Mild weather the second day meant less swimming but we found other ways to entertain ourselves. The setting is beautiful and you can tell that the owners have put a lot of thought into the details. They have a number of upgrade projects underway that will just make it even better. The two things that get my vote for most important upgrades are the toilet and clearing a bit more of the site space to remove hazzards. I vastly prefer the self-composting pit toilets that I have encountered at some other camp sites to a port-a-potty. Boulders, plant & tree stumps, and poison oak all take a lot of work to remove, but it's worth the effort. We found ourselves tripping, stubbing, and getting minor gouges througout our stay. I was the only one to get poison oak, even though we were warned and I did watch out for it. All in all, this place rocks. I'm looking forward to going back again in early summer or early fall, when the temperatures rise (but aren't too hot).

This campsite is fantastic! Private site with incredible views from the bluff and amazing opportunities for exploring the creek. The host (Aimee) was extremely helpful in giving us tips and sending photos before our arrival. There was plenty of water and firewood available on the property. We were very lucky to have hot temperatures during our stay and the swimming holes and sunny, flat rocks provided for perfect creekside lounging and swimming. We loved every second of our experience here! ...and our dogs loved it, too :)
