The Cranky Canard is a cozy log cabin that sits at the base of the Warner Mountains at 5,340 ft on 20 acres and backs to the National Forest. Beautiful view of the broad valley of the Pit River where you can witness breath-taking sunsets, dark skies where the Milky Way is visible to the naked eye, and even Mt. Shasta —which is located 95 miles west as the crow flies. Aptly named in honor of the Belligerent Duck, come enjoy this high desert cabin in the wilderness!This is a beautiful cabin with all the amenities needed to cook, start a fire and enjoy the beautiful mountains. Bed sheets are supplied for the queen and twin upstairs. You will need to bring sleeping bags if you intend to use the downstairs futon.
