Peaceful, security-gated property with a campsite for RV's/tent camping for maximum of 6, and a charming rustic cabin for 2 is available. You can book either one or both. This 10 acre property is located on the ridge in a mixed redwood forest, above the fog, with a filtered view of the Garcia River canyon. There is room for 2-3 tents, or a 25 foot RV, along with parking for 2 cars. No wood campfires allowed June-November. Gas grills and propane fire pits are fine on the dirt surfaces. The owners and their dog live on site about 50 yards away. You may see us doing our walks. Centrally located. 10 minutes from beaches, rivers, state parks, Stornetta Lands National Monument, and towns, i.e., Gualala, Point Arena, or Anchor Bay.

Canyon Ridge Captain's Cabin

Everything about this place is amazing and beautiful. I stayed one night as a pit stop traveling from SF on my way to Big River. Got in late on a Friday night and left early Saturday morning. Easy location to find in the dark. Quiet, clean, cozy and peaceful. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks for the hospitality.

Canyon Ridge Campsite

Peaceful,private, and dog friendly

This was a peaceful and private campsite; perfect for reading, writing, and relaxing. Our well trained dog was able to be off leash, which made it a great vacation for him, too. Gena is a fabulous and welcoming host with a beautifully maintained property.

Canyon Ridge Campsite

Peace up in the trees!

A beautiful spot just off PCH! Drove through small towns on the way, not far from a couple. The host respected our privacy and was attentive to our needs. Even with the increased holiday traffic the road noise from the country road never got excessive. The cool sweep of fog rolling in through the trees was hauntingly beautiful, while the density of the trees acted as a block from the cool winds. Plenty of flat space for tents and the little barrel cabin is cute, may have to come back in the winter for a stay in it. The composting toilet was clean and efficient, while only taking a little to get used to. Much better than a pit toilet or bucket! Property gets really dark so bring lights or just plan to enjoy the stars. Mosquitoes weren’t that bad but would bring some sort of repellent. Host also provided a hose for fresh water. Can’t wait to stay again!

Nice campsite tucked away on the ridge! It was easy to find, had everything we needed (potable water, clean and easy-to-use composting toilet). Only a 15 mn drive to the cute town of Point Arena.

Amazing especially if you have well behaved dogs that can run the 10 acres. Gena is extremely responsive and maintains the site impeccably.

Cool spot, disappointed we couldn’t have a fire because the bugs are beasts! Bring the spray.
