We had a fantastic stay at Camp Tule Elk. The property is beautiful, well-kept, and very comfortable. The single campsite is situated under the canopy of two mulberry trees, and at night, there is no light pollution so that you can gaze at the open sky.
The site is clean, private, and has running water, a power hookup, and a bathroom.
Upon arrival, we met Nolan, the host, who gave us the lay of the land. After that, we were left on our own. This is a working farm, with chickens (you can buy fresh eggs), goats, sheep, horses, and more.
Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking to unplug, recharge, and enjoy nature — we’ll definitely be back.

We really enjoyed camping on Nolan's land. We were in campsite #1 beneath 3 very shaded trees, so even though it was 90F outside, it was comfortable and cool in the shade with a light breeze. We brought three large dogs and had them each tied to a different tree on long truck straps. One of the pastures was unoccupied on the pond and Stacy allowed us to let the dogs run free there - jumping in the pond, running in the field - they had the best vacation ever. At night it was so peaceful and the stars were on show. Great relaxation. It was very quiet with occasional 'blerts' from the livestock and quiet clucking from the chickens. Loved the corn hole, horseshoes, and kayaks. Great set-up, I would stay there again.

We had a great time staying at the Tule Elk campsite. Our kids loved the pack goats and caught dozens of fish right off the dock. The bathroom and water hook ups were maintained and exceeded expectations. Definitely recommend renting the propane fire pit during fire season and getting some fresh eggs.

We celebrated Mother’s Day here with our 3 year old daughter. It had everything we needed while tent camped for a night. The lake was beautiful during sunset and full of fish to catch. Bathroom, faucet, and outlet all on site. Perfect way to camp and avoid the crowds.

We loved camping on Nolan's Farm. Campsite Number 2 was well laid out, the bathroom is super cute and it's secluded, even though you are not very far away from their house.
We especially loved the farm itself. The land and the animals are really well cared for and the pond couldn't be any sweeter. The drive out there was also very picturesque.
Any way a farmer can make a buck is much deserved and we really appreciate their allowing us to camp there.

We had a wonderful time camping here on our way to Santa Barbara.
Private, beautiful and peaceful. There are goats, chickens, horses, dogs and the best kitties I’ve ever met to keep you company.
The hosts were responsive and accommodating, providing firewood for a small fee and even helped with a dilemma we had with our motorcycles.
We would camp here again.

I stayed with my 2 kids and our puppy. My kids loved all the animals on the property. My daughter fell in love with the kittens and my son loved fishing the pond. He was able to catch a few decent sized bass too. We also had a lot of fun catching crawdads. Great place for kids and families with pets!

Best 1st HipCamp Experience! After driving all night long from Central Oregon, we found Tule Elk Campsite as a relaxing stop with friendly hosts Nolan & Stacey. The campsite next to farm animals and under shady trees had everything we needed - potable water, bathroom shed (toilet/sink) and even cornhole. My son enjoyed kayaking in the pond and my husband even caught fish bass and bluegill. Sleeping under the beautiful stars was the best part, We had the best time and highly recommend.

The house was great! The entire house was very clean and fully equipped. The Kitchen had everything you need to cook! It was great to by out in the beautiful area and enjoy nature. There were baby goats and baby geese that were so cute! The host was super accommodating and very nice. It was such a nice relaxing weekend. I look forward to booking this home again!

Lovely property, my family and I were very comfortable and had a great time. We enjoyed interacting with the goats especially and at night my son and I laid down on the dock by the pond and were surrounded by stars, frogs and bats- it was magical! The house is fully equipped with all the kitchen supplies, and bedding you might need. Perfect spot to stay and explore nearby Carrizo Plain.

We had a really fun weekend camping here! We had a ton of space which really made the experience though I would caution that I do think it could be a little weird with another group since you’re essentially in someone’s backyard. It was cool to be by the goats and while the pond is small it was still relaxing to float in the kayaks. Beautiful sunsets and stars and enjoyed the convenience of having a bathroom, ice and small propane fire

At first I didn’t realize I’d be camping on someone’s lawn I didn’t see any houses in any pictures. And honestly I might not have booked it if I had know. But the place was absolutely lovely very relaxing and we were given our privacy the whole time. Nolan came to check in with me when I first got there and was very responsive to any questions I had. My kids loved it there and we would definitely recommend. The animals a very friendly and let us pet them a lot. I loved having an actual bathroom and it was very clean. The view of the stars was unbelievable you are literally staring up at the Milky Way and I just wish I had a telescope! Our spot was right next to the ranch where a miniature horse would come to visit us but no need to worry about smell there was none! I was genuinely surprised and just so happy with our overall experience!

Beautiful camp site on a little ranch with a pond with bluegill, catfish & bass! Beautiful bathroom at site. Weather was gorgeous and all the birds, bunnies, horses & pony were awesome! Camp Hosts were very friendly & accommodating. We will definitely be back!

The site was very easy to find (although felt out in the middle of nowhere!) Loved the horses, goat, and pony that greeted us in the morning. Cute dogs. Very safe and clean.. Gorgeous outhouse! well decorated and tended with care. We got there late, were greeted upon arrival, then left alone. Nice place to wake up. Fun to sleep listening to the frogs in the pond. A perfect stop for us on our way through CA. would highly recommend it. was fascinated by all the Solar ranches around the area... SO MANY SOLAR PANELS!
