Fantastic!! David is the most incredible host, and my husband and I both agreed this was our favorite location during a week long camping trip up the coast.
It felt like we had the entire campsite to ourselves despite the other two sites being full.

David made space for us on a holiday weekend and we are so grateful for the flexibility! Beautiful shaded spot next to a vineyard. Saw a curious little bobcat. Tomatillo farm on the drive in was so cool. Good location between buellton and lomPOKE.

Excellent first Hipcamp experience! Quiet, secluded, but easily accessible, with plenty of space. Great location to take a dog who needs some space from other campers. The firewood, picnic benches, and outdoor table made camping even easier. We will definitely be back!

A special little spot. Loved the site and had a beautiful view and much needed tranquility. David is a super nice guy who checked in on us when we arrived and made sure we had everything we needed. Although site 2 is further from the sinks, it gets more light and feels more private as you won’t have people walking next to your tent or trailer to do their dishes. No cell service but that’s a plus in my book. Absolutely recommend.

This place was awesome. My only issue was the wasps and amount of mosquitos due to the pond behind the campsite (mosquitos are inevitable). I would definitely come back. There are only TWO campsites which is super awesome. The other campsite was only occupied for less than 24 hours so we had the whole weekend completely alone. The property is super cool, lots of grapes and peppers. The swimming hole looked sooo cool but I would recommend going when the river is running and the water isn’t just standing still. The host was super nice and provided some fire wood. There’s a fire pit in both sites, a shovel is provided, tables too, trash can, there’s a porta potty (careful cause wasps get in there), and plenty of areas to sit. Site two had both a fire wood pit and a gas fireplace, not sure if site one had one. There’s a TON of trails around the property. Stores are at least 15-20 minutes away so if you need anything, the nearest town isn’t so far.
If you are bringing pets, make sure to give them flea and tick meds or something to prevent that. One of the dogs we brought was constantly getting bit. I also had a couple of fleas jump on me.
I’d definitely come back!!! Thank you!! We had a blast!!

Such a killer nook in the world! It was summer and the temperature was very nice, lots of swimming and shade. Did not see the owner, no check-in required which is how we like it. Absolutely beautiful and clean. I think the pictures don't do it justice.
A fair warning though there are mosquitoes by the small pond and yellow jacket hives in the grass near the campsite. Those can ruin your day for sure 😁

I loved camping here. It was perfect in a nice little valley like area. While it was hot in Solvang only 20 mins away, it was nice and cool with a breeze here. Plenty of shade! The porta potty was clean but during the heat of the day, ants kinda swarmed it but they were gone by night. Lots of birds and bunnies in the area. Fire pit worked perfect and man could you see the stars! Happened to be here during a SpaceX launch but we didn't know that's what it was. It was kinda scary at first but also super cool. Definitely no cell phone service on ATT, T-Mobile. Once you get off the property it's available. Site is kinda dusty with the type of dirt. Be sure to drive slow and not get the vineyard dusty. I'd come back! The sink area is also super convenient. Do note the bathroom and sink is shared with another camp site which is right next to you. But far enough away that you don't bother each other.

Site was very much as described -clean, quiet, sheltered. Enjoyed a couple of nights of great sleep here. Never saw our hosts, but signage to our campsite was easy to follow, and everything was self explanatory.

We had an amazing time here! Everything we needed for a quiet evening. Gorgeous land, wonderful sunset, enjoyed a beautiful sunrise.
Plenty of shaded areas...it was about 85 degrees, but very nice in the shade.
Great proximity to Buellton/Solvang...

This spot is tucked away in the corner of a vineyard. The river is nearby, so we got to hear a variety of frogs and birds that live in the habitat. It was beautiful! Flowers were in bloom, the quail had a small flock of babies, a young gopher snake quietly made his way through the field, and fence lizards darted about catching food. I would be prepared for mosquitoes and ticks if you come- but this is camping life right? The sink was super helpful as was the counter retrofitted out of an old door, it made a great kitchen. I only wish I had gotten the opportunity to explore the area more.

We stayed at Camp Dirt #1. It was the perfect spot for ourselves and our two dogs. There’s a beautiful tree for shade during the sunny afternoon, a fire pit, picnic table, another table we set up as our food and drink area and a sink which was perfect to wash our dishes in. We took a walk through the vineyard both days, enjoyed the sound of the frogs from the nearby river and enjoyed the quietness of the campsite.

We were never given an address after it took 3 hours to get a confirmation. I could not get a response from the text service.
I have requested a refund as we sat in Buelton waiting for the address which is not provided on the website. Then eventually drove home to Santa Barbara with a couple very sad children.
So difficult to book on the website, zero communication.
I think they are trying to completely automate their service and a couple texts or emails would have made for a smooth trip.

Easy to follow directions and signs to find the campsite. David, the host, was super attentive and offered support for the inclement weather we encountered while there! It pretty much rained the entire time, but my family and I had an amazing time regardless. The campsite is secluded and feels disconnected from the world but still very close to Buellton and Solvang. We went into town a couple times to explore. Site is as advertised, 10/10 recommend.

This review is for the 5th wheel crowd. I have a 28ft 5th wheel, and although I made it in fine, I would not recommend it to others. There were 2 tight turns with lots of sideways articulation combined with bending trees that missed hitting my 12'9" trailer roof by inches. I came in at night, and did not see how close I came to hitting until the morning. On my way out I had to back out and readjust several times to make it. Long story short, I would not come back here with my current setup / rig. I am a little disappointed the host said that it "should be fine"- if this was my property I would not recommend a 28ft 5th wheel. The biggest thing is that the sideways articulation almost made my nose of the camper and the bed of the truck make contact multiple times and missed by an inch or so.
The other issue is that the signage was terrible. Got lost 2 times and ended up on other peoples property. Update your map link Camp Dirt. If you put larger signs and a few more signs, then it would have been much easier to navigate. Sorry to sound so negative, but the signs could easily have been fixed if you add 2 or 3 more at each junction.
Lastly, your website says "swimming" in the pond picture? Really? I wouldn't get in that pond for a million bucks. Also, you have a ROTTING DEER HEAD hanging from the tree. I hunt myself, and know you were just gutting a dear- but come on! That is scary for kids and non hunters who don't understand what that is. My 1st negative review on hipcamp

Absolutely sublime camping experience here. Basic amenities makes camp life that much easier. Beautiful morning walks in the vineyard. Shelter from wind. Not much to complain about. Love it

Sweet spot right on a vineyard. Quiet and beautiful. Stars at night were incredible. AWD was helpful for the road in to the camp site. Easy access by following the signs.

It was very nice to camp at David’s campsite. It is remote and basic camping. But a great campsite for our dogs to run and we had everything we needed including a lot of privacy. It is in the middle of a vineyard. The whole camp consists of two sites. Every site has water and Picknick tables. Porta potty is shared, but was very clean. He even provided a propane fire pit with a bottle of propane, because open fire is prohibited in the area at the moment.

Big site and there are fabulous bird watching opportunities. We will definitely return. At some point, the sand on the road will have to be dealt with. Our wheels did slip. However, we don’t have a 4-wheel drive. As some reviews have mentioned, there is a sink on one of the sites but remember that there is no potable water, at all. There is a trench dug below the sink to angle water away from the site, if you bring your own water. There are hoses that work on both sites but the water is only for fire safety. Water is not an issue for us, because we came fully loaded. I’m mentioning this for potential tent campers.

Really enjoyed the camping. There are two camp sites, but plenty of distance between the two. On the night we stayed, we were the only ones there. The privacy was nice.
David, the host, responded quickly to my questions. We will stay there again. Highly recommend.

This is a lovely site - we had a great time tent camping. There's a sink and plenty of flat ground, as well as shade from the trees around the edge. The fire pit was great and David provided plenty of firewood. It was our second time using the site and I'm sure we'll be back!
