Oak Park #5
Scott & his wife were super kind & proactive hosts - the spot was easy to find with his directions, and he even left the lights on for me in the cottage/bathroom since I ended up arriving later in the night than expected. The spot was lovely and felt very protected in the tree’s shelter, and I fell asleep listening to the frogs in the creek next to it. Will definitely stop there again if I’m passing through in the future! Thank you guys.

Brook Camp #2
Awesome Sauce
Very close to SO much beautiful and many trails in the Santa Cruz mountains, host was super gracious and did a good job of setting the site up, pretty simple and basic small spot but in a great location, not walking distance from much though
Bathrooms were pretty genius I liked the set up though it took me a mi Ute to figure out how to work the toilet

Tall Grove Tent #1
Beautiful spot in the trees, and we absolutely loved having such a *huge* nice tent without even having to set it up/break it down ourselves! Scott kindly checked in to make sure we'd arrived safely and that all the bathroom facilities were in order (they were)! Recommended for anyone looking for something more private and tucked away, but still accessible to Henry Cowell/Santa Cruz/etc.

Amazing peaceful redwood magic
We loved stayed in the middle of the Redwoods at this spot ! We would definitely come again, such a rad location and Scott is very helpful.
It’s so nice to sleep in the circle of redwoods and look up at the stars at night through the tent.
The weather was perfect and temperatures drop at night so we were grateful for our blankets.

Ruffin' it in the redwoods
Scott is very responsive in communications. thank you, Scott!
My experience:
I booked tent site #1. The site has an interesting foundation for the area to set up a tent. It's a couple of tables places on uneven ground. My four person (relatively small) tent did not fit on the foundation. I tried to remove the tables, only to discover the ground underneath was so uneven I could not set a tent up on it.
If you have a two person, you *might* fit on the foundation. If you're going to sleep in a hammock, this would likely work in campsite #1!
The first night we ended up moving over to campsite #2, which is more spacious, and was comfortable for the night.
We didn't end up staying the second night, because there was no cell service, it was very dark at night (bring lanterns!), and we didn't have creek access as expected.
All that being said, if you're okay "roughing it" a bit, I would recommend this spot as a budget campsite near to Santa Cruz.
