We had a great time at BoPeep Sheep Farm despite the heat! Tara was very helpful and friendly and the site we stayed in had the perfect place for our tent under the trees. The Porta Potty and site were both kept up and clean. The sheep were amazing and we had a great time feeding them. The additional welcome bag of s’mores makings was a surmising treat!
We beat the heat at Folsom Lake which was an absolute life saver. Thanks Tara and family! We hope to meet you again in the future

BoPeep Sheep Farm
We had a great time at BoPeep Sheep Farm. My 2.5 year old loved feeding and petting the sheep. We stayed in site 2 which is definitely the shadiest and most private of the sites. It also has a view of the neighbor's sheep which was fun. There was a nice, clean picnic table, fire pit, and plenty of rocks to explore. There's a hose available, but I'd recommend bringing your own drinking water as the hose water was very warm. Overall we really enjoyed our stay!

We really enjoyed our camping experience at Bo Peep. Tara was an excellent hostess!
Our site was the perfect combination of sun and shade; flat ground for setting up our tents, table, chairs, and grill/stove and rocky hills for the kids (ages 3-10) to climb and play. The site is within a nice loop with a slight incline for the kids to bike and scoot up and down the road. The portable restroom was clean and well stocked with tp and it along with the water spigot and parking were all easily accessible to the site. Picnic table and fire pit were the perfect size for our group of three adults and four children.
We were lucky enough to arrive on a day that one of the sheep gave birth and although we didn’t take full advantage of feeding and interacting with the sheep, Tara was kind enough to take us to meet them briefly on our arrival.
We had a wonderful experience at Bo Peep Sheep Farm. I would definitely recommend it!

Tara was so sweet! And her sheep babies are so cute and funny. We even got a special treat and got to bottle feed one of the new little babies. We didn’t get to stay too long because it was over 100 degrees and there was no shade at our site (site #1). To be fair, we didn’t pay close attention to the fact that there was no shade in this spot and didn’t check the weather. Totally our bad. Also, we couldn’t let our little dogs off leash in that site so it was a bit of a struggle. With all of that said, it was still super cute, really close to the lake, and would book there again and ask for a different site to accommodate our little family. It’s super safe and we had beautiful views of sunset for dinner time. Thanks Tara!

What a wonderful experience! We are a family of 4 (me, my husband, an 11yo and 5yo) and we definitely enjoyed our time here. It was a hot weekend (100+ degrees) but our spot was shady. Site #2 was very spacious with lots of trees. It's hilly with lots of rocks. My 5yo loved it! It's very secluded from the host's house. The porta potty was super clean. It was serviced the same day we arrived. The sheeps were adorable! One of the sheep had twin lambs and they were 3 weeks old. We got to feed all the sheep and hold one of the twins. We went hiking at Folsom Lake. Rattlesnake Bar entrance is only 15mins away ($12 to park). Avery Pond Trail was an easy hike. We also went to Granite Bay Beach which was spacious and nice to swim. Lake Natoma was also not far away and we went rafting there. It's not far from Auburn or Rocklin so any supplies you forgot can easily be picked up. Tara was an amazing host. She checked on us every once in a while to make sure we were ok. She brought the little lamb over to hold and came by the day we left to see if we wanted to see her little kittens. My kids did not want to leave and they would love to go back. Definitely on my favorites list. Than you Tara!

We stayed on site #3. This is right next to the sheep and their barn which our kids absolutely loved.
Tara was the perfect hostess, bringing us smores, letting us feed the sheep, letting us hold the lambs and kittens. It was a very memorable experience for our boys (5 and 7 years old).
The site is near to Folsom Lake, where we spent a few hours each day.
We couldn’t recommend BoPeep Sheep Farm highly enough. Go visit!

We had a great 2-night stay at BoPeep. Site #3 was spacious enough for two families w/children (ages 3-10). It was hot, but there were enough trees to offer ample shade, and even to hang a hammock! Folsom lake was a short 15-minute drive, and a great place to cool off. This particular site has an outcropping of rocks that add a “wilderness” touch even in a backyard of sorts, and the kids loved climbing and exploring the area. Tara was a very gracious host, offering a tour of the farm, with a chance to visit the sheep, and a special treat. She also provided a can opener when we forgot ours and was very quick and responsive to questions throughout. If you’re looking to escape, but not go completely off grid, this is a great choice (it’s about a 2hrs from San Francisco w/little-no traffic). We definitely plan to come back very soon!

Tara was a great host. S’mores essentials delivered upon delivery to introducing us to her new born sheep - it was a fantastic weekend.
Close drive to plenty of outdoor activities as well as a liquor store in case you forgot anything.

Cute little spot! We were on site #3 next to the barn with our teardrop camper. Nice spot with fire pit. Loved hearing the sheep nearby. They were so cute and sweet. Two baby sheep were born during our stay!!! The Porta potty was clean.
Note: The site could use some leveling out. It was fine for us with our small camper but if you were tent camping that might not be ideal for this site. The other two sites looked more flat & level for tent camping. The host was very sweet and welcoming providing us with a great experience.

Loved staying at this camp, Tara is the nicest host I’ve had and the sheep are so cute and friendly. One of the sheep even had babies while we were there! If you want go to Folsom lake or around the area this is a perfect site. The campfire pit was great, and having a hose was very handy. The only downside for us was the little amount of privacy. We had site 1 out of the three and it was very close to their house, but the other two sites had more privacy. Overall I recommend!

Tara is so sweet, considerate and 100% awesome. My boyfriend and I had everything we needed plus more. We had access to a trash can, porter potty, a picnic table, wooden stumps to enjoy the fire and even a hose to put out the flame. The animals were a huge reason for our stay and we look forward to coming back again. Plus, the town is cute and has great views!

Tara was such a great host! Very welcoming and kind, she allowed us to switch camp spots last minute. The bathroom portapotty was also very clean which I very much appreciated. We enjoyed our stay 🙂

Fabulous young family as hosts with two beautiful children. Tara very attentive and wants to ensure that all of her guests have a tremendous stay. Multi acre property with some animals and an abundance of fruit trees. Highly recommend for tent camping. Space is very tight for pop up or small trailer and driveway is steep. Best for dry camping. We would absolutely return but would not bring the trailer. Thank you for an amazing time!

BoPeep Sheep Farm
Tara was a great host. We went to go camping, and missed the actual woods and higher elevation. If you are looking for a nice place and aren’t used to the regular campsites, this is the best place! Portable bathroom was clean. Fire pit was great and the picnic table was solid! We love simplicity.

We had a great visit at the BoPeep Sheep Farm! It was clear the host wanted us to have a good experience. She gave us a thorough orientation (including a welcome gift!), checked to make sure our needs were met and was kind and patient with our excitable daughter! Feeding the sheep and interacting with the host’s pets were a fun and unique part of this listing.

BoPeep Sheep Farm
Tara was a wonderful host and made sure we had everything we needed. We accidentally booked for campsite #3 which is mainly for RVs we still pitched our tent and made it work. She has three campsite available to rent all sharing a portable bathroom which was super clean normally they scare me. There’s also a common area to bbq and it has an outlet to charge your phones. It was a great first experience for my nephew who had a great time feeding and petting the goats that are literally right next to our campsite. Thanks again for hosting us.

BoPeep was a great get-a-way from the burbs! Took my two kids (8 and 4) and they had a blast petting and feeding the sheep! They got a chance to get in the fenced area with the sheep and we’re ecstatic! We had the spot by the barn that fit my pop-up camper no problem (that happened to be right next to the sheep). Tara was a great host and it was a nice quiet evening away with the children.

We enjoyed very much the peace of the trees around the campsite. The rocks made it extra fun for the kids to explore and play. And of course they loved the sheep! Hosts created a very warm and welcoming retreat for us city folks

BoPeep Sheep Farm was a great place to go to get away from the city.
We stayed at campsite 3, which is at the front of the property and away from the house. There is a outcropping of rocks blocking the view of the house and trees all around giving a great amount of privacy. Just on the other side of a fence are some very friendly goats that would love for some head pats.
The site had two flat areas great for up to 6 man tents. There's a couple other spots that are also good for 2 man tents if you have more people. There is a fire fit area with stumps around it for sitting and enjoying a fire. In addition we found a couple great spots to hang our hammock.
Tara was a great host giving us a nice welcome and send off. She also came by just after sunset to give us some s'more making materials! It was great. She is very accommodating and friendly.
Currently they have a half bathroom that is open to campers during the day. They are doing construction in the area so this may not be open to campers in the future. In addition they have a trash can for you to drop off any trash instead of having to pack it all out.
The area was relatively quiet although it is a bit residential. There are farms nearby that appear to sit on 2 to 10 acres which gives a lot of space between homes. However there was some residential noise like lawnmowers, cars, and a train that runs by at night (but pretty far off in the distance).
Given all that, I think this is a great place to camp while jumping off into other adventures. Being just outside of the Auburn and near Lincoln wine country, this campsite is in a great location.
Auburn has great hiking, rafting, dining, historic areas, and breweries to explore. Lincoln has lesser known but excellent wineries that do tastings.

Tara’s farm was perfect for what we needed. We were driving from San Francisco to Montana and needed a place to spend the night so we could hit the road early the next morning. Tara was super nice and even gave us a welcome bag with treats that were very much appreciated. We definitely recommend staying there.

Tara was a great host and we got to feed the sheep- it was a hoot. There is a beautiful view and a great BBQ/ fire pit to enjoy. Probably good to note that camp site #1 is right in front of the house. We had a good amount of privacy aside from a few friendly “check-ins” but for potable water / bathroom it did require us to go into Tara’s home.
