Bolt Ranch
My 3 children (13, 11, 9) and I were lucky enough to stay with Marion and Rick for 2 nights. What a beautiful spot! We loved the location, there is lots to do around the area for kids (zip lining, caves, swimming), wine tasting for adults and great restaurants in Murphys. Their property is gorgeous, perched on top of the foothills with amazing views. You are right in the heart of Gold country here and it feels unique. They have horses and cows, 2 cute dogs and a fantastic cat! The kids just loved hanging at Bolt Ranch and learning about animals. Its a really special place to stay! Marion and Rick could not have been more accommodating and generous with their time. We loved everything about staying there and look forward to going back!

Bolt Ranch
We loved staying at Bolt Ranch. Marion and Rick were so nice and super helpful. It was perfect for a quick getaway weekend around Murphys, which is only a short 5ish minute drive. The property had good flat ground for the tents and beautiful views all around. The stars were amazing and it was very peaceful at night. It was also wonderful to be able to use the shower, as it was peak summer heat while we were there. Highly recommended.

Bolt Ranch
The host family was incredibly helpful, friendly, and welcoming. You really feel like you're far enough into the wild to see a million stars, hear crickets, and relax after a full day doing whatever activity you want. Since this property is new, I'm excited to see the development of the camp sites. We camped here mid July, and it was very hot, which is expected, though the evenings were absolutely perfect. Not much to do since it's a private property, so plan your trips accordingly such as Mercer Caverns, Moaning Caverns, numerous hikes around the area, and of course, Murphy's. I'd say this place is VERY kid friendly, and set up like a small active farm, so you'll get to see horses, cows, dogs, and a pretty special cat. Would return on our next trip!

Bolt Ranch
We had a great stay at Bolt Ranch. Incredible view and nice flat ground for camping or vans. Beautiful sunset and sunrise location. Hosts live on site and are very helpful and kind. We had an amazing time at Bolt Ranch. Not to far to drive to San Fran and a very scenic location. We loved it!
