Bordering on the East Fence of the Pinnacles we can provide dry camping.
My grandmother Hazel James ran a lodge in the Pinnacles in 30’s and 40’s with my father Sam and uncle Jack. My grandfather P.O. was a foreman for the state highway department until the early 60’s.
My grandparents bought the ranch in the early 40’s and over the years it has been passed from generation to generation. It has always be a place to get away from the bustle of the city.
My grandmother never made much money, in those days Pinnacles was out of the way. She didn’t mind so much as she was always mindful of the military fellas having a place to get away. Even when times were hard she wanted to keep it open to provide a place where the service members could go.
The lodge was tore down in the 50’s but the memories of the stories still linger. HipCamp has provided us a way to preserve the legacy and share it with those who want to get away.
With COVID19 I thought it was a good time to retire from the park service and start making a place for campers. So here we are in our 2nd year.
I hope you enjoy you stay.
