Beysicair Campground | Tent 5
Deserted Glamping Site
Upon arrival, we noticed that some of the glamping tents were disassembled. We thought that maybe it just wasn’t a full campsite. We came to find that nobody was there & nobody had been there for some time - including the host. The tents that remained standing had holes ripped through them which exposed them to the desert bugs/animals. The one & only electrical hookup is located inside a locked shed, & the host does not answer so you will not be able to get the combination to the padlock. There’s a porta potty there that has probably never been changed or cleaned. A solar powered shower is there I did not have the confidence to use it after seeing the rest of the camp site. We were “assigned” tent 5 (probably automatic booking assigning a random tent since the host never reached out before or after complaints) but it was one of the destroyed tents that was flat on the ground. We decided that we would have to use one of the tents that remained standing, which was dirty but had a deflated air mattress we could inflate. Woke up at 6am to ants biting me & an army more of them crawling through one of the many tent holes. We decided we slept long enough & tried to make our way out of the middle of nowhere in a desert. Horrible tents & horrible host. If you need a place to crash & have your own set up & don’t need water or power it’s called Beysicair Tents & Campgrounds on Maps. Follow those instructions as the campsite instructions take you a back way that takes forever.

The roads are terrible to get there. Doesn’t look anything like what the pictures make you feel. You need to airpump the mattress provided you have one. Stay away from this property

Quiet, peaceful stay in the desert
The tents are great! About 9-10’ high in the middle. Welcoming and thoughtful decoration inside. Solar powered mood lighting. He’s just starting out and is considering every aspect of camping in the desert.
You can park right next to the tent, which is handy. Although we were the only campers there, I don’t think it would every feel too close to your neighbors. This is a shower set up, with a small propane heater, but we didn’t use it.
We came from the south and used his coordinates. Don’t do that! Our route was long and not well suited for a low clearance car! Use Google maps to search for Beysicair Tents and Campgrounds. Hopefully that brings you in from California City - which is an easy 15 minutes on a pretty nice dirt road. Any car could make it.
Our host was friendly and us getting to know the area and is really trying to make this place a welcoming and peaceful place. I would recommend visiting - as it’s quiet, good dark skies and beautiful sunsets and sunrises!

Peace in the high desert
The host was extremely communicative and help me get to where I needed to be. The site is beautiful in the high desert and has everything you need for an offgrid camping experience

One wonderful camp out.
Tameer was an absolutely wonderful host. Although we stayed only one night, he went out of his way to assure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The tent was large enough to fit four to six people comfortably. There are cots and air mattresses available with clean linens and pillows. I would stay here again.
