700+ Acres of Scenic Wilderness Camping Explore over 700 acres of beautiful land, perfect for primitive camping. We welcome truck bed campers and tents. The dirt is soft and the road is narrow with several switchbacks, so this location isn’t suitable for large RVs or trailers. Four-wheel drive is required to safely reach the campsites. This is a truly primitive experience — pack it in, pack it out, and bring all your own water and food. Campfires are permitted depending on the season, and propane-powered grills are always welcome. Fire extinguishers are provided at each site for your safety.

Big Stan Stand

Tent site · Sleeps 16
This campsite sits right on the brow of a wide, rolling hill — overlooking a canyon below. Surrounding it are scattered blue oaks and manzanita. It’s a large enough space for several tents or vehicles, with room to turn around easily, and the open layout gives an unobstructed view to the west — ideal for sunsets. The atmosphere feels rugged yet serene, a meeting place of earth and sky, where solitude and vastness invite you to linger.
