We loved our stay at Angela’s huge Ranch. We parked overlooking the BEAUTIFUL country side over looking the vineyards and rolling hills of Santa Ynez. Angela and her team were amazing at getting all set up as we were first time RV’ers and knew nothing about what we were doing. Also bed being surrounded by the chickens , turkeys and cows. Ballard Hill Ranch is private with great views. There are lots of farm animals that are a great bonus.

We loved waking up there and wandering around the property. The views were beautiful and the animals were fun to visit. There were even a couple of kittens:)

Our host, Angela, was very hospitable from the moment she greeted us. We were given plenty of space for our RV, and were able to pet her adorable goats, ducks, and horses. The scenery was vast and we enjoyed watching the sunset.I would definitely recommend this place to others.

Loved staying on Angela's ranch / farm. The grounds were full of all kinds of fun animals and the views of rolling vineyards and oak trees were amazing! We towed up a rather large 5th wheel and Angela was so helpful getting us up the windy roads to our site. We would definitely stay here again!

Great place! An unexpected burst of fun and discovery. My kids collected fresh egg from the coops and we cooked them up for a tasty egg and hashbrown breakfast 🍳. A perfect place for kids and adults! Angela made us feel right at home and then some. My kids did not want to leave!

Ballard Hill Ranch Wine and Camping
Lovely get away from LA! On the particular day we went, we mostly had the canvas tent area to ourselves which was perfect because we had dogs with us and the canvas tent area is fenced in. The animals were fun to visit, the views are beautiful and it's not too far from things, but feels more remote. I was a little confused on arrival and not sure if we were in the right spot, but luckily a phone call cleared that up. I was looking for the tents + pool as a landmark, but the pool is not longer present, which was a little bit of a bummer given it's prominence in the photos and it was rather hot the day we were there, but it was still a really nice trip. I would definitely come back again and it would be fun to have a larger group and rent out more of the tents.

Wonderful stay! Great view, quiet, peaceful. A little confusing arrival and in finding the bathrooms (signage would be helpful) but all in all it was great and we will definitely be back!

We were confused when we arrived at the location, Angela was not able to meet us at our ETA and we had not received any host directions to our site. Luckily we had cell service and Angela responded quickly to our text with clear directions to our camp site. We only had one night to spend here during our month long road trip here. It would be nice to spend more time and explore Los Olivos and Solvang and then escape the tourists for a quiet night on the ranch. It's a sunny site so if you bring a shade canopy of some sort it would be helpful, we were able to sit in the shade of our camper van and there was a nice breeze up on the high bluff. The view is stunning and situated for a good sunrise. It's a popular spot for birds, several mountain bluebirds visited us and perched on the fence post right outside our van window. Angela gave a great tour of the animals, this is a working ranch! Horses, goats, chickens, ducks, turkeys, cows, and more! We adults enjoyed seeing the animals but this would be particularly nice for kids to experience. Don't miss Ferdinand the Bull!

We loved our RV spot. Beautiful views, cozy gas fire pit. So nice to have access to the shared kitchen and bathrooms. Angela is a GREAT host. So friendly and helpful. We will be back!

We spent a quiet beautiful weekend at Angela’s. It’s a gorgeous setting that is way more spectacular than the pics.
The yurt tents are great. Super comfortable beds and little touches that make them livable. The space is an old riding arena.
A few notes: bring your water, there’s no potable water and the store is close but it’s nice to have it with you, same with shower soap. The pool is broken, due to some bad guests.
There’s nothing else to cook on besides the bbq (which has a single burner range on the side) so along with your cooler, bring a pot or pan if you need to cook or heat water.
The stables are incredible. Gorgeous quarterhorses, goats, ponies, ducks, feral cats, chickens, cows, turkeys, a goose and a sheep. Endless entertainment and petting for all ages.
Angela’s a nice lady and while not super available, a good host who has made a lovely space to stay.

Wonderful camp! We all loved staying in the tent and the bed was super comfortable. You can park your car right next to the tent and walk to the animal area to see horses, chickens, ducks, cows and turkeys.

Arriving at this place you immediately feel like you can take it easy. The tents are each unique and the pool is surprisingly refreshing for when it gets hot outside. Didn't receive the bikes we upgraded to and requested but made do with relaxing in the general area. The outdoor toilet isn't the cleanest but the outdoor shower was very freeing way to freshen up. The barn with the actual bathroom is a short walk away down the path and the horses you see along the way are a sight to behold. The outdoor cooking situation was perfectly suitable for our needs and it teed up a lovely evening under the stars. Only person we saw was a helper named Lester, who didn't annunciate very clearly, but beyond that and the minor hitch with the bikes it was a solid pitstop during our vacation. Would recommend for any couple wishing to get away and see the night sky in all their majesty while being a stone's throw from Solvang and the national treasure that is Ostrichland

Angela’s place is amazing! The views and animals are just what you need to refresh the soul!! The sites are spaced out far apart and are very clean. Close to downtown for wine tasting, but far enough to enjoy the privacy of the farm. My family and I will definitely be back..

Hi again, we love “Our Ranch”. We have visited the ranch many times because we love the vibe. Casual friendly staff and visitors. On this visit we ended up having an impromptu birthday party for our Aunt. We had folks from El Salvador, Mexico, Costa Rica and the US. Everyone brought some beer and Luis set up the grill. It was socially distant, simple and so so great. Thanks again Angela for accommodating us. Your staff is awesome!!!! See you all again soon

What a beautiful view! We enjoyed visiting the horses. The host is incredibly nice and accommodating, but let us have privacy. We will definitely consider stopping here on our travels in the future!

I had to cancel my stay due to health issues, and Angela was so accommodating and responsive, making me feel very welcome to reschedule in the future.
Vacation stays are about the people you book with as much as the cool location and accommodations. I highly recommend her as a warm and down to earth host! Thanks again Angela!

Beautiful little perch overlooking Los Olivos. Bathrooms were maybe a bit further of a walk than expected but doable. Angela was a great communicator and made our arrival easy.
