Private mountaintop sanctuary • Unforgettable nature escape Escape to one of the most unique and sought-after treehouse stays in the country—nestled high above the rolling hills of Escondido on a breathtaking 157-acre private ranch. ✨ Once featured among the Top 10 Treehouses in the U.S., this award-winning treehouse has hosted guests from around the world seeking peace, inspiration, and a one-of-a-kind stay. The space Lovely romantic treehouse perfect for a couple. Not suitable for children. Must be able to hike down to the treehouse and up steep stairs to the bedroom in the treehouse. The treehouse is very romantic and very rustic, no plumbing. Inside the tree house, we have a propane fireplace to keep you warm. Must be willing to hike to the outdoor kitchen and bathroom. The new pillow-top queen-sized bed. 2 person maximum We are closed in July - September and will open availability for fall and winter 2026 on September 1st. 2026. This property does book out quickly in the winter. Guest access Amenities: *Lighting / Electricity: Your treehouse has limited electricity; we will keep a flashlight & lantern available for your use. *Fire restrictions prohibit us from building a fire in the fire pit if we have high winds) *Kitchen: The outdoor kitchen has a gas grill. Please bring simple camping type food that you can grill. *Bathrooms: outhouse, rustic outdoor shower and copper bathtub. *Hiking trails Other things to note You must have a 4 wheel drive Remote location, rough roads: We are about 25 minutes from the nearest grocery store. Stop at the store before you come up. We are 4 miles up an unpaved road. Arrive during daylight hours you will be driving up dirt roads through the woods, and arriving on a property with limited electricity and steep terrain. The roads are unlit, bumpy, windy, and sometimes steep and muddy. We have a number of wild animals on the property including Mule deer, Bobcats, Turkey, Mountain Loins, Owls, birds and 1 cat.Escape to something a little wild—and a lot romantic Tucked among the trees on 157 acres of protected land, this private two-story treehouse is designed for couples looking to unplug and reconnect.
