Applegate Haven-Creekside Magic

Our three days at Applegate Haven were purely magical and healing in so many ways. I could not have been more pleased with our stay. The creek is absolutely beautiful and such a welcomed refuge during the hot afternoons. The hosts were very open, welcoming and kind. Added bonuses were the hot solar shower in the afternoon, incredible stars at night and freshly picked blackberries in the morning.

Johan & Lisa and their site keepers were great. Very friendly and gave a great tour of the site. Johan was a very impressive builder. It was a great time.

Great place to stay

It’s was a great experience. My only recommendation to the hosts is to improve the directions and add signs to help guests who arrive late night. It’s was a bit tricky to find the place but it was the best outdoor experience I had! The place has a table, 4 chairs and a mattress and two pillows upstairs. That’s pretty much it, so go prepared. All in all, I would recommend this place to everyone and will come back for sure! Thank you Eden and Levi!

Unique site!

This was a very unique camping site. I would highly recommend getting there before dark as the roads to the site and the path to the camping site could be confusing at night.

Rustic awesomeness!

Rustic Redwood Cabin-ApplegateHaven

We loved this spot and will definitely return! They rent several options on the property, but the creekside deck was the best. Perfectly placed, very private, but you could roll up to the main house to chat with others if you desired. Easy, short drive to Applegate Lake which is beautiful. You sleep to the sound of the creek and the deck didn't get too warm until later in the morning (hot summer day). The owners were not on site while we were there, which was no big deal, but might be nice to have a guide to locate a few of the things like the solar shower and water (maybe i missed that?) Also some folks pitched their tent right in the middle of the communal fire area which was a bit strange as we had to walk through to get to the deck and meant no fires since their tent was like 2 ft away. Again, not a big deal, just unusual. Id also consider weed whacking the path just a touch since it takes several trips to get your gear into that part of the property and you get caught up in some of the branches. Not ideal for anyone that's mobility impaired as the path is rooty and rocky, but fine for active people. All in all, I look forward to going back and would definitely recommend if you want rustic and out of the fray of local campgrounds. I miss it already.

off the grid n tucked away

eden was super nice and around if we needed help. the cabin was clean and exactly as expected. i did wish there was a way to get down to the river without going through the backyard (maybe there is and i just could not find it). very dog friendly. fire pit is down by the main house so bring portable oven to cook. overall i would comeback as it was peaceful and quiet.

Wonderful stay

The surroundings were beautiful! We had a rough start to our camping trip, but Eden and Levi did everything they could to make sure we were comfortable. They were very friendly and hospitable! If we are in the area again, we will stay there!

This property is AMAZING!!!!! We LOVED it. Eden and Levi were wonderful hosts. Unfortunately, we got lost finding the property. It was really just because we didn't have service. They were so accommodating though! We didn't arrive until 5 AM and they let us stay the next night because we got lost. The property itself is a DREAM! There's so much to explore and no one out there.

We loved our stay at Eden and Levi's beautiful place! The directions were very clear and both hosts were friendly and welcoming. The property is rustic, gorgeous, charming and we loved the Ivy Cabin. We had everything we needed for our quick stay. We would absolutely come back and would have loved to have been able to stay longer.

relaxing, cozy, quiet

my partner and I rented out the cabin for a few days over Thanksgiving week and had the most relaxing experience. we loved how far away from town it was and being off grid. It rained the whole time which gave us permission to get cozy cooking on the wood stove, read a book and enjoy the soundtrack of rain. Our hosts we so helpful and welcoming and made us feel right at home. My dog loved swimming in the creek and hiking around the Applegate area. rain or shine this place is divine.

Orchard Camping- Applegate Haven

Our night at Eden & Levi's was certainly magic! The Ivy home is a perfect little place to warm up by a wood stove. The property itself is right off of a beautiful rushing lake, and filled with little surprises and nooks to sit and enjoy the woods. We are already planning our next trip to return in warmer weather.

Wow! This place is a gem. Such a beautiful natural landscape with thoughtful spaces laid out to enjoy them. Prior to arriving the hosts started the fire for us to heat our space for the night and gave us access to more wood to keep warm. Attention to detail and clean outhouse facilities made this a wonderful experience - would love to come back for a longer stay!

I slept better in the ivy cabin than I usually do at home! I’m a light sleeper and wake up often during the night; it usually takes me some time to get used to a place before I can sleep well there. Not so here! The creek trickling and fire crackling lulled me off into dreamland. My only complaint is that the current hosts didn’t know where the trailheads were, which I was hoping to check out and couldn’t find myself either. There wasn’t hot water for the shower - but I anticipated that, having come in November! Perhaps it would be a good idea to change the price for the season, or at least note that it will be cold, but I’m not really sure it matters! They clearly put a lot of effort and care into building the space; the entire property is a piece of art and the area is pretty magical. Very good energy :)

Ivy Guesthouse compound was beautiful outdoors and inside. What’s not to like about responsive and gracious hosts, beautiful creek, swimming hole, tree house, lush garden, porch with a view, great hiking nearby, and comfortable quiet quaint sleeping and eating spaces? Beautiful drive there, close enough to Ashland for our theater day/night adventure too.

My partner and stayed in the guesthouse in July 2018. It was easily the most comfortable, serene, and inviting space we stayed in on our drive from SF to Vancouver. Johan was warm, friendly, and made us feel right at home. Having meals and coffee overlooking the Creek was amazing.

Woke up to a panorama of serenity. Celebrated the morning with a fragrant cup of sage/mint tea from the expansive garden, took a refreshing plunge into the brisk and glittering creek. Then off on my merry way with restored body, mind, and spirit, hoping to return soon!

Quiet and out of the way! Host was awesome. Very dog friendly. Dog were allowed off the leash to play in the creek. If you go in the summer time bring some battery powered fans and lots of mosquito spray. Wish I could have stayed longer.

Orchard Camping- Applegate Haven

My 10 year old son and I stayed a night here with our dog on a redwoods road trip. He says the night at this cabin was the best part of a weeklong road trip. We loved everything about this spot. The river was beautiful and Liza was so nice. Everything about this place was perfect for us. Very dog friendly.

This place is amazing! Nestled in the hills of the Klamath forest, it feels so remote yet cozy and welcoming. Every aspect of their home is personalized, unique and very loved. The caretaker host was super friendly and helpful. Camping was simple, accessible and close to facilities- exactly what we needed after a long drive. While we didn't get to use the solar shower, I will definitely be back to do so. Only draw back is that it gets buggy at night so come prepared. Will definitely return!
