I was working in Carlsbad for a few days and needed a place to camp bc I didn’t want to drive home so it was perfect. This place is definitely no frills and that’s precisely what I needed. It felt safe and was quiet, minus a few animal noises which I do enjoy hearing. I will be back when I have to work in the area again.

Directions were great. Easy to find the campsite. Nice views from the site. Unfortunately there was multiple dogs barking through the night and early hours in the morning both nights. We were not there during the day so we can’t comment during the day but overnight and early hours of the morning the dogs barked the entire time. If you’re in a camper it might be ok but in tent you won’t get much sleep. The second night we also heard machinery in the field next to us, roughly 4:35am. They offered to give us a refund for the second night if we didn’t want to stay but we didn’t because of the fuss of packing the tent up and finding a new location.

What a wonderful property; so quiet and peaceful, except for the songs of birds or nearby crickets. We were fortunate to be there during a full moon and the views were gorgeous. Hoping to come back for another stay soon.

Didn't match the photos. And could not find any wood chips. It's not maintained very often I would assume. An ok place to park a rug, but that's about it. Not a spot to hang out.

Stayed at the Orange Peel site for 5 days with our 18ft travel trailer. The owners were very nice and welcoming. They allowed us to pick avocados and oranges. The area is nice and quiet. I would stay there again when back in the area. Only down side was the site didn't have a lot of extra room outside of our truck and camper.

Apple Blossom Farms is a hidden gem—peaceful, beautiful, and perfectly located. Lexie is an incredible host, and her family is so warm and welcoming. I always feel safe, cozy, and completely at ease here. The sit is surrounded by orange groves, blooming flowers, and towering eucalyptus trees. The smell of all of the orange blossoms is incredible! At night, you're serenaded by hooting owls and distant coyote howls—it’s pure magic. There are occasional car / helicopter noises in the distance but it didn't bother me at all. I slept like a baby.
You get the feeling of being immersed in nature, while still being just a 20–30 minute drive from the conveniences of the city. I stayed at the campsite where I could cook, unwind, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings, then drove into Oceanside daily to surf and check out the local cafes. There are lots of nearby farm stands and farmers markets to pop into and get local produce as well.
It’s the perfect spot for nature and beach lovers who want a quiet escape without feeling too off-the-grid. I absolutely loved my stay and can’t recommend it enough.

Quiet and Beautiful property & private feeling! Easy to communicate but proximal enough (20 min easy drive) to accessing the coast, stores, and trains. Safe and calming:)

Beautiful spot! Incredibly quiet too - there's another camping spot that wasn't filled, but there's some distance between them. I didn't meet Lexie, but the directions were great and we got in easily. We have a 22 foot RV, and there is a dip to the driveway others mentioned that I think scraped our bottom a little but did no harm and was no big deal to worry about.

Couldn‘t enter with 28 foot RV!

We decided not to drive in since there is a big hump at the entrance and we didn‘t dare to try with the rented 28 foot RV.
We tried to contact the host twice per phone and left a voice message twice with the request to call back, but we didn‘t hear anything!?
We had to find another place to overnight on the spot which wasn‘t easy. So we will ask for a refund.

I was a bit nervous about driving an RV down the steep incline onto the property but it was fine. Beautiful spot to camp but shame about the faeces littering the site

Very quiet and peaceful. It's a little bit of afternoon shade near the olive trees. For those with a low ground clearance in your vehicle, careful leaving the driveway. Overall a very nice place and certainly affordable. The host was very responsive.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay. The sight has a beautiful view and is very peaceful. Depending on traffic, we were only 20-30 mins from Oceanside Beach. We will definitely stay here again.

For the price it was worth it. Windy dirt Road getting in. The front gate is wooden planks and we missed it the first time. The camping spot is just a dirt road off of the driveway. If you don’t expect much it’ll be just right. “Hip count” did not recognize my confirmation number and was worthless.
Now, all the good stuff. The camp is in the middle of 20 acres with avocado, lime, lemon, tangerine and banana trees. It was very private. The owner was extremely nice very helpful And allowed us to pick fruit. On the oasis pull out you can park under shade and it is a pretty view of the mountains. Yes I would do it again. It was a nice chance to get away from all the noise.

This is my 4th time staying here, we stay here when there are tournaments. It’s safe, pretty & quiet. No bathrooms, we saw coyotes, you can expect bugs during summer. Just some fyis. We love it here.

Great impromptu getaway from the coastal May grey to find sun and serenity. Loved being on the beautiful wild property. It was very quiet, clean and I enjoyed walking through the laden lemon trees. Did meet nice fellow campers and inhabitants of the lil shack below. Everyone was kind and respectful including Lexie the hostess. I’d definitely come again!

We absolutely LOVED this personable, quiet, BEAUTIFUL camp! It was so peaceful on top of everything and no one bothered us! Our dogs were able to run around and be free and the ocean was only 20 minutes away. 100% off grid camping but we came prepared! Took our maternity pictures by all the beautiful plants and lemon trees. Will 100% be back!

We booked this stay to be close to the beach at an affordable price. We were surprised how much we loved staying on the this farm and being surrounded by farmland. Spring was springing all around and we saw the most amazing wild flowers! Lexie and Brian were so helpful and nice, even dropped off a bag of delicious avocados!
Some things to note, the driveway/road onto the property is quite steep. We were nervous about towing our 26ft out. Our v8 RAM 1500 in 4-wheel low had no issue at all getting out.
There is a dumpster directly next to the Olive Oasis spot. It didn’t smell and we had no issues. Temps were very mild, but something to consider in warmer months. The view down the farm and over the valley is amazing so you are looking at that anyway.
Getting our 26ft trailer into the spot was a little tight, but we got it done with some patience. The pad isn’t perfectly level, just used some leveling blocks.
All of this aside, it was a great stay! The farm was really beautiful, we spent a day just hanging around camp walking the property and enjoying the flowers!
