Site 2 - Ace's Yosemite Hide Out
We spent 1 wonderful night at Billie's beautiful land for our first Hipcamp experience, everything was perfect: a nice spot under the oak tree and a starry sky, running water with a sink, a barbecue, a fire pit, a pic-nic table. We were alone so we had private restrooms and shower. Everything was very clean and well though. Most of all, Billie was so nice, with a lot of good advices to make our stay the best possible. And we really appreciated saying hello to the horses and donkeys in the morning. So, a big thank you for everything, we would definitely come back!

Hostess with Mostest, Billie!! 🫶🏼
We absolutely loved our stay at Ace’s Hideout! This was our first HipCamp and we couldn’t have been more pleased. From the amenities such as the propane grill and fire pit to the AMAZING outdoor shower, we were beyond satisfied. Everything was well maintained and clean. She came down to fill our pump sink daily with a friendly smile! Cleanest outhouse we have ever used! Campsite 2 was amazing, especially with the big oak tree that provided shade for us (it was in the 90’s creeping to the 100’s!). Billie is very knowledgeable of the surrounding area and things to do! Definitely a great spot to stay if you’re going to Yosemite or Bass Lake! It was fun having the horses and donkeys greet us in the morning! We would definitely stay here again! Thank you for giving us an incredible spot to camp! We will miss showering under the stars!!!

Excellent Host/Stay
What a lovely property and lovelier host! Looking for a spot to crash between landing in Fresno and starting our backcountry Yosemite experience. Billie’s place was perfect and the bonus feature of horses Ace, Cowboy and Silver were an over the top treat for all of us but especially our 11 and 12 year old daughters. Campsites are private enough mostly by distance and some tree cover. Other guests left before us and we didn’t hear them at all. Outhouse was clean and well stocked. Site had a picnic table, grill, trash can and pump sink. Very easy to find just out of Coarsegold which has some nice amenities. Be aware that those amenities keep small town hours and close around 7pm. Only thing to mention that may be disappointing is a bit of road noise but it is far off and you will get a nice dark night sky for star gazing. If you have time, enjoy a dip in the waterfalls at the Lewis and Clark Recreation Area just up the road on 41. Billie was super helpful, communicative, well humored and an overall delightful human to interact with.
