Hayward Lake Cabin
It was a really enjoyable and comfortable trip. The cabin was so good that it was convenient to use, the place was so nice, and the air was clear. I want to visit here again later.,

Hayward Lake Cabin
Very helpful host!
The cabin was exactly as advertised and Janna was very helpful.
Given the early sunset, the battery is not up to the task of powering the lights all the way through the evening, so bringing flashlights is advisable. Also, the outhouse does not have a door or even a fourth wall, so be prepared for that, although the location is fairly private.
Neither of the above are really issues, though, because this is a rustic experience, not a hotel.

Perfect rustic cabin
I wanted a camping experience this weekend but didn't want to deal with tents. The cabin was the perfect combo between shelter and camping. Loved it and would come back.

Great spot close to city
Beautiful spot. Fishing was great! Cabin was super cute had everything we needed. Only thing I would say is that in the winter, I wouldn’t have more than 3 people in here. We were supposed to be 3 people but one couldn’t come. Glad they didn’t because the main floor was freezing in the evening and the upper loft was toasty warm. The person sleeping on main floor would have been miserable. We will be back in the Spring!!!

Janna and johns cabin was perfect for the 2 of us stopping in for a little while. They were attentive and quick in helping us with any questions we had. The cabin had everything we needed for the short time we were there.

Easy adventures for all!
What a beautiful area to explore! The trail and lake are steps away from the cabin and was perfect for some adventure with my daughter and puppy. The cabin was an incredibly comfy spot to park for a fall weekend getaway.

Not the place that they described
We arrive and no one was there we camp in a wrong site because of the poor description and we have to move all our camp. The washrooms was really poorly built . And the attention of the host was really poor, we leave one day early because it was a horrible experience. I will never come back and i will say to my friends about this terrible place.

Forager Hill Campsite
Amazing spot! It was so great to be surrounded by trees, a beautiful lake, ducks and chickens! Highly recommend booking the canoe- the lake is stunning! Janna provided toilette paper, fresh water, and there’s an outhouse. We brought our puppy and she loved it. Would stay again!

The directions were perfect and the cabin was exactly what we needed. Came well equipped woth essentials, more so than we expected! Loved that we felt like we were in the middle of no where but we were less than an hour from home.

New favourite cabin
This little cabin is a real gem! It's cozy and comfortable and private. The real star of the show was the lake, it was absolutely beautiful! One of the best swimming lakes I've ever been to. The water was so clear, and GREEN. Definitely recommend renting their canoe to get out and explore. The property is great - ducks and chickens and some kitties even came out to visit us. Everything was exactly as described, and we felt very welcomed and well taken care of.

Beautiful relaxing Stay
We booked really late in the evening and were accommodated and given detailed instructions that were so clear and accurate we found the place at the even later hour we arrived. This place is truly Gorgeous and so very comfortable and homey. Had everything you needed. A cozy and truly relaxing and serene experience. We will be back as soon as it’s available.

Steep climb and questionable site
The safety of this location was questionable. Furthermore we couldn’t get one or our cars a awd sedan up to our campsite. We also wouldn’t have had enough room for our 4 person tent.

Hayward Lake Cabin
This is a great hidden gem close to the city. Absolutely loved this spot. We swam in the lake which was not too cold at all, and really enjoyed the access to canoes and kayaks through the owners. We would absolutely come back.

Nice spot and great lake!
The site was lovely and peaceful and the lake was perfect! We took the canoe out and had a great time swimming off the dock. We loved the ducks and the neighbour’s chickens who stopped by. The fresh spring water was a nice touch- actually the best water we’ve ever drank. Thanks, Janna and family!

Forager Hill Campsite
Camping at Forager Hill Campsite.
We will first say that it was a bit noisier than we expected with planes , trains & automobiles but we really liked how the tent pad was close to the outhouse (which was nose friendly) and a bit separate from the fire pit area and the picnic table area. Also, we were surrounded by trees which provided lots of shade to keep the area cooler despite the torching temperatures we had to deal with at the time. The picnic table looked almost brand new and was solid. We loved the way she supplied clean spring water for drinking and other uses. The tent pad was a bit small for our tent but a fine size for an average 2-3 person tent. The path to the water was well worn and the lake is beautiful. Crystal clear water. It also worked out well as far as scheduling goes. The ducks were very interesting. To top it all off Jenna and Rebecca are very nice people and were very helpful with any information we needed. Two thumbs up for their hospitality.

Cabin Getaway a success
The space was lovely - perfect for a couples getaway close to the city. It was stocked with everything you would need (camping stove, cutlery/dishes, and a little sink with a foot pump). It’s a 2 min walk from the lake, very private and perfectly calm for a nice paddle. The hosts were kind and responsive.

My kids and I had a wonderful time camping on Jana’s property. The site was clean & the surrounding trees were beautiful & provided shade for our site. We appreciated the picnic table, firewood, & water. Great privacy and the outhouse was very clean. Jana was available for easy checkin upon arrival and responded quickly with questions that came up. The kids enjoyed the boats and the water was gorgeous. It felt like a private lake all to ourselves. Thank you Jana for a great experience and comfortable stay. I would recommend this site to future campers!

Best place to unplug
We had a total break at Jana’s space. We would go back again in a heartbeat. It was a great place to unplug from the hustle and bustle of life and spend time in a beautiful forest with a lake close by and access to a canoe!

Rustic glamping
We really enjoyed this unique experience at Hayward Farms. All the essentials for camping were available and the space was very quiet. It was a perfect getaway from the city with a beautiful lake minutes away. Don’t forget your bug spray!

We loved the cabin! It's so cozy and warm inside. We had a great 2 night sleep. The lake was a short distance away. Swimming was super refreshing and the fish were fun to watch. The hosts were lovely and very accomidating. Thank you so much for letting us stay. A true hidden gem.

Hayward Lake Cabin
Great cabin stay!!
We really enjoyed our stay at Janna's cabin! The cabin itself is a short walk down from the main house where we parked. It's surrounded by beautiful lush forest and has ample privacy. Our host Janna was so friendly. She met us upon arrival and took us down to the cabin to show us around. She also provided us with fresh spring water for drinking that was collected shortly after we arrived.
The cabin had many of the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. There was a queen size bed with a cute little window for sleeping located in the loft. This was easily accessible by ladder. The main floor of the cabin has an extendedable table, a bench (that can also double as an additional bed), a small wood burning stove inside where you can cook food and boil water, and a sink with a foot pump for the water.
There's a firepit outdoors for some campfire cooking, and there's also a camp stove with propane provided if you're in a rush and don't want to build a fire.
There's a path from the cabin that leads down to a dock that opens up to stunning lakefront views. A canoe with paddles and lifejackets was available for us to use during our stay so that we could explore the area by water.
If you love tiny cabins or more of a glamping experience (and are okay using an outhouse), we totally recommend booking this cabin!

Cozy site! Great stay!
Absolutely amazing stay! Incredible done site, feels very private. Fit two tents perfectly and was great that we could bring pets! The host was amazing, left us water and toilet paper, great picnic table and campfire area. 10/10 would recommend.

Hayward Lake Cabin
Amazing rainforest hideaway
Beautiful cabin in the most amazing forest. Janna was a wonderful host, we had everything we needed for a relaxing glamping style stay. Getting to and from the cabin is a short hike but it's got a good incline to it. The lake is a few minutes further down the path. Even though it feels remote, town is close making it the best of both worlds.
I would definitely stay here again and don't resitate to recommend this little spot.
