Primitive camping
Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
This property is in the mountains. In the woods. You'll have cellphone reception, but it's completely undeveloped, save for a few campers around from people who tried to go off-grid and left. There are rabbits, deer and fish. It's a hunting ground if you have a license. It's incredibly peaceful. This is in the WOODS. I bought the land to eventually build something on it, but the quiet got to me. There is a man and his wife who live a few miles away, but they could sound an airhorn and you probably wouldn't hear them. This is great for a true, eat, pray, love getaway. You'll need your GPS to get there. There is a metal fish decoration hung up. It's .11 acres, all the way to the back fence. There's a huge cow pasture behind it, so you'll hear them, sometimes at night as the mother's call the calves, etc, but no people. I don't care how long you want to stay. You can do some practice homesteading. You can do a garden, bring animals, etc. You can treat it like a rental property, and get a job in town, etc. I'm not on it right now, so whatever you want works.

True Wilderness
Solar eclipse in the wilderness!
We camped for 3 nights on this property to see the April total solar eclipse. We had a wonderful time! It truly was the wilderness which is exactly what we wanted to experience this eclipse. Got incredibly dark during the eclipse without any annoying light pollution to ruin the show. Brooke gave very good instructions for finding the property and we really didn’t have any problems at all. Some advice for other hipcampers 1) a large vehicle with 4WD would be best to get to the property 2) bring paracord to anchor tent because ground has many rocks that made it difficult 3) in April it got very cold at night so bring 40 degree bag during this time. Brooke gave great advice about the camping toilet as well. Stars were amazing at night. I brought my pochade box to paint some wildflowers and such. We had a great time. Definitely be prepared to bring everything you need to make it in the wilderness.

True Wilderness
Definitely the wilderness
I loved tent camping on this land for the eclipse! If you like dispersed camping this is a great spot. Very private area with great star coverage, and an unbeatable price. Great host.
