This was truly the best camping place we’ve ever been to. The views were absolutely stunning, and the campsite itself was perfect for our tent. Robert and Susan went above and beyond to make the experience special. We even got a fun and super interesting coffee lesson (featuring some of the best coffee we’ve ever had), followed by a fresh latte handcrafted by Susan, which was absolutely delicious. Robert even sent my husband back with some of his coffee to share with the guys at the fire station, which meant so much to us. And if that wasn’t enough, they also dropped off homemade sourdough monkey bread, which was nothing short of phenomenal.
Robert and Susan are honestly some of the kindest and most thoughtful people we’ve ever met. On top of the amazing views from the campsite, the common area was perfect—especially on the rainy day we had. We were able to relax on the couch with our dogs, stay dry, and still enjoy the beauty of the surroundings.
We absolutely loved our time here and will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

To start, the view is absolutely AMAZING. The accommodations were some of the best & most clean I’ve seen. The hosts were so sweet, kind and welcoming. From homemade blueberry muffins to welcoming us into their coffee roastery. We will be coming back again. Our stay could not have been better!

We had the most AMAZING time at the Huckleberry’s place. They were the most kind and generous hosts we’ve ever had! There were incredible panoramic views of the mountains, swimming in the river and the best lattes we’ve ever had!

Second stay in the books! The campground was just as perfect as we remembered and we brought friends to experience it with us this time! Enjoyed the views and were spoiled with fresh roasted coffee, all the firewood we needed, and great facilities a very short distance from the tents! We will be back again!

This was one of my favorite campsites of all time! The view from the bluff just a short walk down the hill is amazing! Great for viewing stars at night, too! It’s also nice to have a good shower and toilet available! The campground was full, but there are not many sites, so being able to use the shower/bathroom wasn’t a huge conflict. Robert was an extra kind host, and he brought freshly roasted (and brewed) coffee every morning to the common area! When we requested firewood through the Hip Camp app, he had it for us at our site very quickly. We were really tired and my husband was kind of feeling sick during our stay, so we did not hike on the trail down into the valley. But, we plan to camp here again and hike the trail! We have a pretty large tent (6 person tent) and we were able to fit it on the camp pad! The fire pit and picnic table were also nice additions to our camp life. We also hung up our hammocks over by the bluff and it was an amazing reading spot with a view! We loved everything! This is a great place to get away from the noise and busyness of modern life, but it still has amazing amenities like coffee, a bathroom, AND WiFi. 😄

Had a great stay on Robert’s land. The view is absolutely amazing and he is a great host. The location is beautiful and secluded, all I could hear was the sounds of nature. The accommodations are pefect and the coffee was delicious. Thank you and I look forward to returning.

We absolutely loved camping at Harper’s Bluff. Not only was the view honestly breathtaking, the hosts are honestly the very best. They were super welcoming, beyond thoughtful, and work hard to provide a great experience for their guests. All of the amenities they have set up for guests make for the most convenient, relaxing camp experience. One of the best’s campsites I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying at. We will be back soon!

Loved it there. It was a last minute booking for me, because my other plan didn't work out. But I am so glad I booked this. Best HipCamp I've visited so far. The view was amazing, the coffee was fantastic, the shower was hot, and the flushing toilet was more than appreciated. Robert and Susan were wonderful hosts. They greeted us at arrival, and made us immediately feel welcomed. They guided us right to our spot, and even got us situated with firewood. My daughter and I absolutely loved our weekend together, and did not want to leave. Coming back to the city stinks. I could have just lived right there on that bluff.

We loved celebrating our anniversary in this beautiful place. At all times we felt very safe, the communication was on point, the hosts were incredibly warm, attentive and very kind to us, even the other people camping at the same time were wonderful.
Waking up and seeing a gorgeous sunrise in the middle of these beautiful mountains was a dream.
So many comfortable things provided, warm shower, very clean spaces, delicious coffee and you can add in the payment needed stuff for camping in case you’re not prepared like us hehe.
We came all the way from Houston and would come again :)

Hill Top Campsite
The Hill Top campsite was great! The site was close to the scenic bluff overlook and we got to watch the sun set. It wasn’t too far from the other camp sites but it still felt private because it had some trees that separated the sites. Robert and Susan were WONDERFUL hosts. They gave clear directions and greeted us with such hospitality when we arrived (and when we departed). It was nice having the shower and toilet in the community area. They also provided fresh-roasted Numu coffee in the Spartan community camper and it was fabulous! And they were so sweet to bring us muffins in the morning. We will definitely be going back and we highly recommend!

My family had a great time at Harper’s Bluff! The views were unbelievable and the owners were so nice! The restrooms and showers were spotless and in such a neat building. We can’t wait to go back!

Our 2-night stay at Harper’s Bluff was incredible! The view of the bluff is magical, absolutely breathtaking. The campsite was private and had nice amenities inside a cute trailer just steps from our site, bathroom with
shower and kitchen with coffee maker. Robert was an excellent host, he provided great coffee that was enjoyed overlooking the valley. Our short stay brought so much joy to our family, really special place!!
He also recommended a tour of Blanchard Springs Caverns which was super cool.
Book now, get out here for some peace, highly recommend!!

What a gorgeous place to stay! The amenities are incredible, and Robert and Susan are incredible hosts. They upgraded our spot since the campground was pretty lightly trafficked this weekend due to stormy weather. The bathroom and hot-water shower was luxurious and our whole stay was highlighted and characterized by the hosts thoughtful generosity. Susan even made cinnamon rolls one morning and dropped some off for us. Talk about spoiled! For coffee lovers everywhere, the loveliest perk was fresh-roasted coffee ready to brew. We sampled a few different roasts while there, and all of it was fantastic!
Talk about the views, Harper's bluff is absolutely gorgeous! And we could see it from our tent as shown in the pictures. Any spot you get here is leveled out and perfect for an easy set-up. I don't think it'd ever feel crowded (we got lucky to have nearly the whole place to ourselves) because everything is spaced out very generously. We will be back and be bringing all our friends!

Harper's Bluff was a peaceful and beautiful campsite with a fantastic view! It was my birthday weekend, and I can't think of a better way to spend it. Robert is a lovely host who received us warmly and was a wealth of information about the area and what it has to offer. We did a hike down to the river and back, which Robert recommended, but mostly spent our time relaxing at our camp site. The coffee provided was excellent, too! I definitely recommend this camp site for a fun, relaxing getaway.

We really loved our stay at Harper Bluff & Numu Coffee Roastery. It was more than just a campsite… it was an experience, and we can’t recommend it enough! As advertised the Red Bud site was private and very quiet. It had lots of flat ground to accommodate large tents, multiple tents, and/or 2-3 vehicles. It was a short hike down the hill to the shared camper for bathroom, shower and power. Once you get down to the shared area you can't help but appreciate the view from Harper's Bluff. Spectacular! Robert and Susan were wonderful hosts, providing hospitality more akin to a houseguest than a campsite host. Oh, and the coffee is SOOOOOO good.

we were chasing blue skies for the eclipse and discovered this hipcamp listing. We had no idea what to expect other than when I went to inquire about a space Robert said he made one available and that he’d feed us and have a fireworks display. What gem of an experience. So it’s not just about a little pad for our vehicle- the whole thing was an upgrade to our eclipse trip. He and his wife prepared delicious food and honestly the fireworks display was the real deal and probably the best we’ve ever seen. The location is on a beautiful bluff overlooking the Red River. We can’t recommend the location or hospitality enough. Find a reason to stay here!
