This site has been developed by the Morrilton Civic Alliance to meet the needs of the camping public that will be in the area to participate in the total eclipse of the sun on April 8, 2024.
These are primitive camping sites (no water, no electrical, etc.) for tent-camping only. The sites are in an open field and ideal for watching and experiencing the eclipse right from your campsite.
Perimeter (premier) sites are $800 each and the interior (standard) sites are $600 each plus 8.25% sales tax. This is a total cost and it includes:
* Your 30'x30' campsite for 4 nights
* Parking pass for 1 car
* Wristbands for up to 8 people
* 5-gallon souvenir bucket
There will be communal porta potties and showers available in various locations around the campsites.Available April 5-9, 2024 only. We are in the "path of totality" for the eclipse with OVER FOUR MINUTES of total darkness to experience. The site is within the city limits of Morrilton and under regulation by city ordinance governing pop-up villages established to serve the visiting population during the eclipse of 2024. It is within 2 minutes by car of Interstate 40, the Walmart Supercenter, movie theater, retail shops, banks, restaurants, the hospital, the city park, and historic downtown Morrilton.
