Site 1 - End of the Trail
Great getaway and helpful staff
My wife and I had the best time on our trip. We had a flat tire and the groundskeepers Michael and Adam went above and beyond to help us. They even took our tire off and put the spare on for us since we didn’t have a car jack with us.
The dogs got to run around the open field, there was a perfect place to put in a kayak and paddle around, the camp was very clean and firewood was stacked high for us when we arrived. They even had extra bundles to buy. We will definitely be back!

Secluded and kid friendly
Camping out at Site 2 was great! There was the structure on the site and we also brought our tent just in case. Ended up setting up our cots and sleeping inside of the structure since it was screened in. Suggest bringing a fan and broom to use inside before you get all setup for the night. We heard what we thought (and hoped) was just a mountain lion screaming around 2 am near us so I’m glad we did 🤣 definitely bring water shoes because the lake was really slippery on the rocks. We brought our 4 yr old and he loved watching the fireflies, catching grasshoppers, seeing the fish, and other critters out there! Was a great getaway, nice and secluded, wonderful little escape.

Cowboy’s Way
Great location on river about 250ft from the next camp site. Must drive over small creek and through open field to get to campsite. There is a horse trailer with a small bed area inside I would assume for looks only. The doors do not seal or latch properly. There is an ac unit in the photo but you will need a generator to run/if it works. There is no electricity out there. I didn’t expect there to be but these are things you don’t know till you know. River stream is small. Caught some small bass and bluegill. No catfish or other larger fish. Water is about 5-7ft deep in the location. The toilets are portapottys with a hole in the ground. Wife was not keen to using due to the amount of spiders and wasps nest inside the portapotty. All in all we had a good trip and enjoyed our night. It was a fun adventure. Nice shaded location. Watch out for the huge ants and holes in the ground near the river.

Incredible getaway with the dogs
My husband and two dogs had the most magical time here. It was so private and quiet. The site contained everything you could need ie: kayak, picnic table, grill. We completely fell in love with this place spending our days paddle boarding, cooling down in the water and fishing.
We packed a tent but ended up just setting a cot up in the treehouse and it was perfect. The wildlife and nature sounds were so relaxing.
One thing to note if you aren’t familiar with Arkansas like me, there are plenty of ticks in this region. I was ignorant to this fact but as long as you pack spray accordingly it shouldn’t be a problem :) this has nothing to do with wentz! Just good to know if you’re a city slicker like me. Would absolutely come back and hope to someday

Very secluded on site #2.
Very secluded, wife and I had a great time on site #2.
Very nice place and the river was clear.
There were 2 cons, 1, there were a bunch of barb wire fence on the ground, 20feet from the main structure. One had actually went thru my shoe and got my foot. All is well and I cleaned up the rest of the barb wire.
The other con was, and I understand the nature/wildlife. But there were way too many snakes then I anticipated. My wife actually got bit but luckily, it wasn't poisonous. Copper heads, and water moccasins mainly...
All n all it was a good anniversary given 😅.
We would like to come back in the fall/winter.
