TerraSol is a hostel-style camping spot for hikers, cyclists, birders, and van/small RV travelers. Our fun, friendly atmosphere and thoughtful amenities make TerraSol your perfect rest stop or base camp where you can recharge for your adventure — just 1/2 mile from town. Camp under majestic mesquite trees, with Sky Islands mountain peaks all around. Prepare meals in the camp kitchen, then choose your spot to relax: morning sunroom, shaded deck, fire circle, or gazebo. Or lounge around your campsite with picnic table and chairs. Look forward to WiFi, hot shower, insulated tent pads, and extra blankets, plus loaner bikes to get to town. And popcorn! TerraSol is on the Arizona Trail Patagonia access route, the Sky Islands Odyssey bikepacking loops, and several inspiring gravel biking day routes. Several nearby hiking/walking trails draw birders from around the world. There's plenty to enjoy in Patagonia itself, too. Grab a hearty breakfast, explore unique shops, and learn about our history at our historic schoolhouse museum. Dinner, drinks and live music are all evening possibilities. TENT CAMPING in Patagonia for Hikers, Bikepackers Whether you're 50 miles into your north-bound Arizona Trail adventure, or 50 miles from the end heading south, you'll want to plan a stop in Patagonia, an AZT Gateway Community between Passages 3 and 4. Or perhaps you're a bikepacker heading for the Sky Islands Odyssey loops, or similar routes. Patagonia is the perfect place to launch from.  TerraSol can be your base camp. Literally steps off of the trail and loop routes on Harshaw Road, you can relax after your day of hiking, get cleaned up, then plan your activities in town.  Or, arrive the day before your bike trip, and get an early start the next day. You can park your car here, too. TerraSol campsites are spacious and comfortable, with insulated tent pads and picnic tables. Share tales with other travelers around the fire circle, and prepare "real food" in the camp kitchen. The friendly town of Patagonia is the place for a fun, productive rest-and-restock, or post-trip celebration.  You can receive packages, enjoy a restaurant meal, get a massage, do laundry, restock food and water, and socialize with hikers and locals. However you're traveling, TerraSol and Patagonia will be a memorable part of your adventure!

Mary has a great place where staying one day made me feel like I was part of the community. Her place is well thought out and made me feel like I wasn't alone out there. If help is needed there will be someone at TerraSol who will help.

Beautiful and well stocked campground. Mary is awesome and the furry welcoming representative was the best! I didn't expect so many kitchen amenities. Stove, kettle, fridge, microwave, and toaster oven.

Mary and her staff are welcoming to a charming locale just outside of the town of Patagonia. A mix of car/RV campers and AZ Trail hikers makes each day different. A beautiful place for respite.

Everything about the camp was neat and tidy and Mary was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again next time we visit Patagonia. It was a short and easy bike ride to the nature conservancy trails and into town. We enjoyed talking with some of the thru-hikers staying there as well.

Very close to town, and I had a very private, quiet spot even while the cam was full of hikers. A great shower, great view of the fields and even the neighbors bird feeders were added bonuses. Thanks Mary, I’ll be back😁

Mary’s place is wonderful!!! The community area/kitchen is outstanding. And popcorn! Clean porta potties. Quiet setting. Walking distance to town. We met numerous wonderful people during our two-day stay.

A sweet funky camp made for vans and hikers. Clean outdoor kitchen and bathroom. The outdoor shower on porch of house was perfect. Mary was great. Warm and friendly and some how always around when I had a question while invisible when we just wanted to chill. We’ll be back.

Overall we had a good experience. The staff were very friendly. The camp had nice amenities: outhouses, showers, shared frig if needed, community kitchen. However, the picture of the camp shows a nice tree with field behind that so we thought it would be more open spaces. The camp is actually right in town and the sites are very close to one another so not much privacy; so would have liked better pics of what the camp actually looks like.

I had such a lovely time at TerraSol! Mary greeted me, showed me around, and guided me to my spot. She provides so many amenities for such a reasonable price: hot shower and towels, flush toilet, full outdoor kitchen, a fire each night with chairs, and so much more. Everything is so clean and well thought out. The people I met, from cyclists to AZT hikers were friendly and respectful. There's a warm vibe and it's quiet...I can go on! I will definitely be back and would recommend it without hesitation!

I had a couple of very relaxing evenings there… I was recovering from a cold, and so I was able to get caught up on my sleep… It was wonderful… Also, it’s a Mecca for a mountain bike riders… Some of those folks are hard-core. Everybody was super nice. It was so great.

Enjoyable spot that caters to all travelers no matter their mode of transportation. Mary gives a tour of all the amenities-I used the kitchen while my husband used the bike shop. We love Patagonia and my husband loves to ride the gravel

TerraSol is a well oiled and organized Hipcampimg machine! Mary does a great job giving the lay of the land and overall operations of this popular Hipcamp destination. She has all the amenities readily at hand for any birdwatcher, AZT through-hiker, or gravel-mountain bikers. Access to all the trails and roads are right out the front door. Really enjoyed my stay and will be coming back again soon.

We loved our visit to TerraSol in Patagonia! Mary was super welcoming and professional, and had thought of everything travelers would need. Also clean shower/bathroom. Would recommend and hope to return soon!

Pros: there is a nice community vibe here, so I see why it appeals. Lots of amenities such as a cooking area, bike repair area, pads for sleeping on etc... Would be a nice stop for long distance hikers and bikers Cons: you are basically sleeping in her back yard and she packs people in pretty tightly. There are houses on both sides although a pasture over the back fence for a view. My main complaint was that when I arrived in my small camper van she asked if I'd park in the gravel lot next to the house, which is outside the adobe-wall enclosed back yard you see in the photos. There I would have been 3' from other cars & vans people were sleeping in. I said no, I wanted what was advertised in the photos so she put me in the yard area, which she said she prefers to keep open for tent campers. That is fine, but she needs to make that clear on her website. I would have been pretty unhappy in the gravel lot by the street.

Mary is a terrific host, I was given a short tour to show me where everything was and what was available to me. The shared cooking area had may of the comforts of home microwave, air fryer, induction hot plate, pots and pans, dishes and flat ware, washing up sink. These things are especially helpful for those that are biking. Hot shower available to use. Patagonia is a short drive for necessities. Trails are close by also.

I spent a quick night here, but loved it! I received a tour of the premises and the many amenities, and loved it! It was a cold night, but I sat in an enclosed gazebo with a nice fire table. The facilities were clean and well laid out. It’s a very quiet, safe environment.

Mary had created a wonderful environment for hikers, bicycle enthusiasts and even spots for RVs. Close to town, she even has bikes to ride into town! Such attention to details, we enjoyed the hot showers, and a good stretch on the deck. Bird watching on conservation lands nearby and we saw a dozen Javelinas.

What a great spot! Patagonia is a great little town full of really nice folks, and Mary's Hipcamp is about as good as it gets with good vibes, amenities, and views.

So much to enjoy about Terra Sol. The setting is great - plenty of space and amenities. Lots of areas to sit and hang out as to shift from sun to shade to campfire and cozy lighting for navigating camp. It’s great having a hot shower and fresh popcorn after a day of hiking or biking. The kitchen looked well-equipped though we just used our van kitchen. Close enough to town to walk or bike to enjoy a dinner out or beer and music at the Lumber Co. Mary lives on site and is always happy help.

I camped in a van and Mary was very accommodating. Such a peaceful vibe. Great shower and free popcorn every night. Beautiful views out the back and so many amenities for bikers and hikers. I loved it!

TerraSol is a great place! Near town and right on the road to excellent gravel riding. Mary’s historic property offers many amenities: a wrap-around porch with chairs, yoga mats, a massage table, and a shower. A fire pit is available to gather round and enjoy freshly popped popcorn. Mary has a wonderful place — especially for AZT hikers.
