Where do I start… First off, Jen was a fantastic host who was super accommodating. I can’t describe how amazing her hospitality was even during the end of the season. I truly believe in in her mission for spiritual healing in nature, especially those who suffer from PTSD. Second, the property is amazing that is rich in history. There’s so much to do and see without the hustle and bustle of the busy holiday crowds. It is perfect for those who are trying to get away from the busyness of life even just for a couple days. The views were breathtaking. The hiking was fantastic and the lake was super close. Third, then the night sky at this property is absolutely stunning. Looking up at the stars never seen more clear than any picture book or video. My favorite part was the silence of the area during the night. It was the same as or better than a hyperbaric chamber. This was absolutely what I was looking for to reset my mindset after the memorial Day weekend. I absolutely recommend this place and will definitely be coming back.

I had the best time camping at Almo Lake. The campground was beautiful, had a bathroom, shower, kitchen area. It had it all. I did tent camping but I’ll be back with cooler temps and I plan to stay in the clamping tent. They are nice! I had dinner catered 2 nights and the food was delicious! I rented a kayak 2 days and the lake was so peaceful. I saw lots of wildlife. I def rec this camp ground and will be back! Thanks for an amazing solo camping trip ❤️

Unfortunately I had to cancel on very short notice due to an emergency. I was very clear I did not expect a refund from Jen, and I still don’t because she is not responsible nor should she be penalized for something neither of us could control. That being said, the lead up to my stay she answered all my questions and provided a lot of information that would have made my stay very good I think. So I will rebook once all is settled.

It was a great place to stay. Nice cozy tents beds are comfortable with shower house and bathrooms were nice. Great place for cooking. The host was super nice. Would recommend anyone to stay there.

The property location and campsites were awesome! Close to Alamo Lake and great scenery. Roads are a little bumpy on the ride in, so make sure to have a Jeep or other capable vehicle. The land has an amazing history, so be sure to take the mine and ghost town tour to learn more about it. Jen was a great host, and is extremely helpful with whatever you need. I would highly recommend this spot if you want to be a little more secluded from the crowds of the state park area of Alamo Lake. Can’t wait to go back, and next time I’ll take a telescope to view the stars in all of their splendor in truly dark skies you don’t experience near the cities. A+ overall experience.

The trip was amazing! The owner was super nice and friendly. They were super helpful with anything we needed and showed us the best places to fish and hike. Overall the trip was excellent. Had an amazing view and campsite was awesome. Will be coming back here. Would 100% recommend it. 10/10 experience!

This is a gem hidden in the desert. Ms Jen is a super great host with knowledge of the desert plants and wildlife. We had a super great time camping in one of yurt tents. The bed was better than a hotel. The showers and restrooms were a great addition to the area. Thank you so much

Beautiful scenery. Peaceful and quiet. Beds weee comfy with nice linens and comforters. Food was delicious. Jen is very friendly and a accomodating! !

Absolutely awesome stay here. Jen and her team took very good care of us. Her Fajitas were amazing and everything about our stay was great. Highly recommend anyone wanting to escape everyday life and get away for a weekend. Wildlife was great and the stars you get treated to every night is amazing. Hearing Jen’s stories were great. Oh yea ask mom to sing for you, quite a treat.

This place is wonderful but I would recommend having an off roading type vehicle with 4 wheel drive and good tires. The campers next to us got a flat on the 53 mile (mostly dirt, partially very rough) road to the site. We also got a flat. While I had a wonderful time my boyfriend said he thinks the road was too much for our suv. The first night we had to ask the tent next to ours to respect quiet hours, the second night we had the place to ourselves. Beautiful and peaceful. If you don't want to bring your own tent they do have cozy tents with real mattresses for rent. The flushing toilets and showers are a real luxury we also had a water spigot at our tent site which was very nice. The campers before us left a bunch of broken glass around so I recommend cleaning your tent area both before and after (leave it clean). Thankfully my dogs didn't step on the glass because I didn't do a once over until we were leaving. I really enjoyed my time there I did not wanna leave I would've loved to stay a few more days and if I ever have an appropriate vehicle I would definitely go back! Thanks again!

Everything was clean, from the bathrooms to the tent sites! The lake was so close! Bathrooms are close! Unfortunately the tent sites are close…to each other, however did not stop us from having a great time! Everyone was friendly and helpful! I would definitely go again!

This Desert Oasis campsite was beautiful with convenient amenities to include fishing, swimming, hiking, fire pits, and clean showers/restrooms. If you love stargazing this is the place to be!
Love’s Campground was quite and very peaceful.
We highly recommend the the ghost tour. The catered breakfast and dinner was absolutely delicious and refreshing after hiking and exploring through the desert campground.
Jen, our host, was welcoming and so full of knowledge.
If we return to AZ we hope to reserve another stay at Love’s Camp.

Jen was very helpful and responsive to messages/needs. The property is beautiful and you could spend a whole day exploring and only see a fraction of what’s there. If you go be sure to bring a telescope the night sky is amazing!

Loved it. Tent and site were incredible, comfortable, and beautiful. Our site was a rocky unmarked drive from the lake, but we figured it out with Jen’s directions! Super great host before, during, and after. Definitely want to come back in the fall!

Jens land is beautiful and has amazing views. There are tons of off road trails to explore. My daughters and I had a wonderful time camping on Jen's land. Alamo lake was beautiful and very close to the site. We will definitely be staying here again.

“Secluded Alama Lake Sanctuary” true to its name. I found exactly what I was looking for in a host and a peaceful retreat into the desert wilderness.
Jen is an amazing host with an amazing background. I admire her intentions for this beautiful piece of land. She is one of the most down to earth, knowledgeable, kind, heartfelt souls I have ever met. I made a true friend in just a few days of being..
I had the privilege to be there during the partial lunar eclipse and worm moon and what a sacred place to be for that experience with the night sky, to havre a full view with no city noises or light pollution. It was an amazing experience all around for; watching the sunrise and the sunset, hiking, camping and immersing yourself into the desert wilderness. Like the title states for this review, it is a one of a kind experience that you will never forget.

Wow what an incredible place! Jen is amazing host and hospitable for our every need! We got to enjoy a quiet and private space under the stars with beautiful views during the day. Just a short drive to the lake with great bass fishing! If you want to get out in the middle of nowhere and experience nature with a few nice amenities, this is the place to go! We will definitely be back again.
