Located 5 minutes from the Kanab, Utah border in Fredonia, Arizona just 1 block off Hwy 89A. This RV site is located on a small ranch with a few friendly horses in a corral. We offer doggy daycare and boarding for your dogs while you visit the area. (Zion National Park does not allow dogs in the park). This is a great spot because it's centrally located to all the national parks including Zion National Park, the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, and lots of amazing places to explore and hike. Includes water spicket with great drinking water and a porta potty and picnic table.

Riverside Trail Park
Steve is a kind and helpful host. It's the only site on the grounds, so lots of privacy. Loved the hot shower. I found highway too close by. (Noise) Despite the title, there is no Riverside walk to speak of . You can walk around their 'farm' but is a bit messy.

The campsite has an uninstructed view of the spectacular desert sunrise. Perfect campsite for those who don’t like a crowd. Lovely horses nearby were free entertainment for my children.

Beautiful scenery! Next to a horse enclosure, so the flies were unpleasant, but not unmanageable.

Moonlight Ravine RV site
Pros: Excellent location for visiting multiple locations. Very friendly hosts. Opportunities to visit with the animals on their farm. Great for a large RV with a self contained shower. Beautiful night sky views. Why it wasn’t the best fit for us: I didn’t realize from the original post, that has changed since I booked, that the RV spot is directly next to their house. I was picturing having more of our own space. This wouldn’t be as much of an issue, but they run a dog daycare out of their home, with outdoor pens of dogs. Drop off at 7-8 in the morning. I have my own barking dog at home, so I don’t need to listen to other people’s in the night or morning when I prefer to sleep on vacation. 😁. Also, be aware, no shade other than what you bring, or place to eat outside. Could be improved with a nice picnic table area.

Campsite with cute farm animals
Darlene went above and beyond for us. We cannot thank her enough. She was hospitable and informative (even offered dog training advice). Darlene’s place was exactly as described. Conveniently right off 89A, access to a porta potty, and water. It was perfect for us.

Riverside Trail Park
It was very hot and had no shade. The site was between two portapoties and a coral of horses on the other. As a result there were plenty of flies and odors from both.

Camping near the best hikes!
We loved our visit to Darlene's land - it was beautiful! Darlene was a great host and had great communication prior to our visit. She greeted us upon arrival to give us a tour of her place and the land and was very friendly, giving us hiking recommendations for nearby. We had a wonderful time hiking her land, visiting her horses, and watching sunset at our campsite. There was even a shower and potable at our tent site which was wonderful! The views are gorgeous and it was so close to amazing hiking destinations and Kanab. We would definitely visit again.

Camping with animals!
Very simple campsite but comes with everything you need! Water, bathroom, table, shower, fire pit and plenty of land to set up tent. There is some uneven parts but we found it best between the fire pit and table. The animals will wake you but I found it a bonus part of the experience. Owls, turkey, horses, and a neighbor playing the bagpipe (lol).

Solo adventures in AZ/UT
This place is awesome! Darlene was quick to answer all my questions and she met me when I checked in and showed me around the place. Since this place is on the AZ side, she reminded me that AZ doesn't follow Daylight Savings time (I was doing a tour in Utah so I needed to be on Utah time). This spot had plenty of trees for privacy. As a solo female traveler I definitely felt safe here. Darlene knew I was doing a long hike and she even checked up on me in the afternoon. I like that there was a water hose with drinkable water. The Porta Potty was clean. There was a picnic table with shade and a fire pit. I will definitely be booking here on my future adventures in AZ and Utah.

Riverside Trail Park
Solid spot to camp out if you're going to Zion or Bryce Canyon National Park. Spot was a little noisy because of the animals on her property and the highway nearby. That being said, she was very hospitable and welcoming. The site had a porta potty, picnic table, water hose that was drinkable and a little fire pit and she even gave us firewood for the night. Cell service was good too.

Great stopoff between parks
Perfect midway point for us between Grand Canyon and Zion. Close to the road which is convenient but does have a little road noise. My kids loved the horses and other animals.

Convenient camping
Darlene gave great directions, so we were able to find it easily. Good location just a few minutes from Kanab, also loved having a shower available! Took a few minutes to figure out how to work it, but that was probably just me having never used a portable shower before. Our site was right next to the toilet and shower so we were woken up around dawn as someone else used the shower, the running water was quite loud. So just a warning as you pick your spot, or maybe just pack ear plugs. There was a nice little fire pit and picnic table, everything was just as expected. Thanks, Darlene!

Riverside Trail Park campsite is a very good location to camp if you are visiting zion, bryce, grand canyon National parks. We stayed for 4 nights. Porta shower and toilet are clean. Table is available. Hosts are responsive and nice. I wish they cleaned the campsite- remove bushes to have more space. There’s no shade so its really hot if you’re staying in the camp in the afternoon. also, it will get muddy if it rains.

Moonlight Ravine RV site
Great site!
Great site if you want to get away from everyone and everything. Secluded enough to enjoy your solitude while being big enough for almost any size family. Hiking trails and a small creek on the property are a nice bonus. If you stay in winter, you’ll want a heated water hose. It gets COLD out there. I woke up to 7° each morning. It does warm up fast as soon as the sun comes up. Daily high temps were in the 50s. All around good experience.

Riverside Trail Park
Darlene was great, very helpful and responsive. The site itself had a lot of good and bad features. Good: The horse pens (which is why we booked) were very large, safe and convenient to the water. Bad: Since a trailer was parked in the only loop at the end of the camping area we had a heck of a time turning around our truck and horse trailer. The loop should be off limits to parking/camping.

Short and sweet stay
Darlene was super communicative! We showed up very late at night on our cross-country drive, and were able to find the way (though it would have been easier if there were directions coming from the south, not just from Kanab). The only other confusing bit was that another car was already at the site (which we were expecting from the listing on the description), but given where it was parked, the rest of the road was blocked so we weren’t sure where exactly to park and pitch our tents.

Moonlight Ravine RV site
plain. Decent. Gets the job done.
This is a no frills site that gets the job done, but is quite basic. The toilet available is a portolet, albeit a clean and sweet smelling one. It's about 200 yards from a significant highway, unscreened except for waist high sage and rabbit bush. That said, although I expected noise and light, neither were an issue-- it was both quiet and dark, as preferred. The shower was austere, but the set up was ingenious, and the water hot. We found the site readily, but more precise directions to the highway turnoff- with mileage markers- are needed. It is plain to the point of bare, but it's in a good location and there's a good view in one direction, if not the other.

Excellent stop for our trip
That is a very convenient campsite. You can't miss the spot when you arrive. Clean, water, electricity and private. We were concerned about the main road that we could hear from the site but overall it was okay during the night. I think we heard wolves (far) but not sure. Views from the site are breathtaking. We reserved it for a stop during our trip and it did the job splendidly.
