Imagine pulling through the gate into Ranchito Paraiso - a desert paradise, seemingly remote, but just minutes from the town of Benson. First, you will feel calm and peaceful. To the left, you will see an abundance of giant Mesquite trees and Kassandra - a lovingly renovated spacious RV nicknamed the Micro Mansion. Farther along, is the rustic elegance of Kasita Morada, the purple house. On your right, you will see the corrals for our sweet donkeys, Miss Fiona, Haiku, and Isla Preciosa, hanging out with their sidekick goats, Harley and Quinn. We live in a ranching community, so neighbors are few (there is a KOA across the north side of our unpaved road). You will love the stars and the moon and the quiet here at the Ranchito. It is a wonderful getaway surrounded by mountain views. The sunsets are magical and sunrises provide beauty and hope. The Ranchito is an artsy retreat with quirky yet elegant accommodations and a wonderful space to breathe, create, write, binge on Netflix, or just take a break to enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine and bird watch. The donkeys and goats love our guests, and will patiently stand by for a brush, a cuddle, and a compliment while you sip your favorite beverage. You will be within 15 minutes to Kartchner caverns. Tombstone is 20 mins, whereas Bisbee, AZ vineyards and Tucson are about 40 mins away. The Ranchito is 3/4 mile north of I-10 and one mile from the Amtrak line that runs between LA and Texas. San Pedro golf course is a few hundred yards away, with delicious food and a dog-friendly patio. Even though the grocery store is two miles away, you will feel remote. Elegant glamping is available in a lovingly renovated RV named Kassandra and a custom DIY tiny home (Kasita Morada). Guests find both units quite stunning and well-equipped.

Each booking helps care for rescued sanctuary animals: donkeys, goats, and piggies that roam freely during the day. You will be delighted with Kasita Morada - the perfect desert glamping getaway: rustic, elegant, and quirky in a ranch-style setting minutes from I-10. Enjoy gorgeous views, Wifi, kitchen with spices and cookware, areas inside and out to work remotely while enjoying the views, and a custom rainwater shower with skylight. Kasita has an exotic "Portugal meets Old Mexico" vibe. Come here to offer yourself some luxury after camping, to catch up on remote work, write a book, create or relax. Kasita Morada is definitely a space for those who think outside the box - world travelers, artists, and/or who appreciate eclectic beauty and comfort off the beaten path. Kasita has privacy and outdoor dining and seating spaces, although close to the main ranch house (50ft). The bedroom/living area is 220 sf with mini split AC, a queen-sized bed with luxury memory foam mattress and fresh,1200 count Egyptian cotton sheets. A leather futon in the living area converts into a twin bed. WIFI and a Smart TV with streaming services provided (Netflix, Hulu and Prime). The kitchen is ready to prepare meals with a propane range stovetop, electric pizza oven, toaster, drip coffee pot, a microwave, and full-sized fridge (There is no oven). Spices, olive oil and aged balsamic are included. You will love the kitchen seating with a pop-up window where the donkeys like to gather to enjoy the views, your favorite beverage, or to check your email. The fridge is stocked with breakfast items (Freshly ground coffee, English muffins ,fresh eggs, half and half, butter, and strawberry preserves). A fire pit under the stars and a BBQ grill are available upon request, depending on drought restrictions. The concept for Ranchito Paraiso is to be a retreat/sanctuary for life voyagers, artists, writers, poets, musicians, composers, yogis, dancers, rescue animals, and kind folk. Once you enter Kassandra, you will feel at home. She is a lovingly renovated fifth wheel RV with all the comforts of home, including toiletries, compact washer and dryer, smart TV with streaming services, high speed wifi and outdoor seating and eating areas. All dishes, cookware, spices, olive oil are included, plus freshly ground coffee and breakfast items: English muffins, jam, butter, and organic, fresh local eggs. Kassandra sits on an Artesian well with fresh drinking water like no other! To conserve water, there is a Swedish state-of-the-art Separett dry toilet. Shower is spacious with residential fixtures and on demand hot water. You will be about 150 ft from the main ranch house with ample privacy and parking. The agave garden in front of Kassandra is a bird watcher’s paradise! You have a private firepit with unlimited access to a gorgeous sky and blankets of stars! Two two well-mannered dogs are welcome. Let me know if you have more. We are located just north of Benson, 20 minutes to Kartchner Caverns and Tombstone, 30 minutes to Willcox wineries, 45 minutes to Tucson, and 40 minutes to Bisbee. Pet-Friendly Farm Sanctuary
Kareva is an incredible host! She was extremely friendly and kind to myself and my two children, and allowed them to help her feed and groom some of the animals on the property. Speaking of which, my children loved how friendly the donkeys and pigs and goats were. And Kassandra - the RV we stayed in - was clean, spacious and well accommodated. We look forward to being able come back and to stay again!

Rustic Elegance - Kasita Morada
This is one of the best places I have ever stayed. The animals are so friendly, and the host goes out of her way to be accommodating and kind. My teenage boys loved the animals and looked forward to seeing them every day. My kids usually want to sleep in, but they were motivated to get up if I told them the animals were out! The house itself is really cute and comfortable, and the location is less than five minutes from the interstate.

Good host communication & thoughtful details make this stay memorable. Welcome hug from Kareva & quick tour of spaces. With permission, interacted with animals & fed apples to donkeys. They are super curious! Kept pup greetings calm with use of safety gates. Appreciated! Fenced property for on-leash dog to explore, being aware of loose sanctuary animals. Found a piggy sleeping in sun & the stunning feathers of Peacock George. Animals visited us several times. Expect a dusty desert outdoor experience. Lotsa clean amenties inside tho, like slippers & curtains for night privacy at doors to bathroom areas; warm shower water, space heater, bright skylight. Comfortable sleep/lounge area to unwind & rest. Kitchen loaded with useful items & huge window to view animals grazing. Thanks for the veg-pizza & crust crisper gadget. Nice surprise. Kareva: give the animals hugs from us & enjoy the carrots & apples we brought them. ciao!

Pet-Friendly Farm Sanctuary
We had an absolutely amazing stay at Kassandra! What a magical place! We loved all the animals, it was peaceful and relaxing! It was our 3rd year anniversary and we are so happy we stumbled upon this place! Kareva has everything ready for you, fresh ground coffee in the morning, we didn’t drink wine but she left us a bottle when we arrived. Kareva has everything you could possibly need for an amazing getaway! I highly recommend this little slice of heaven! We were very grateful to have met Kareva and cannot wait to return! Thank you for an amazing weekend!
