Site 4 - Little Jamaica Camping
Description inaccurate. Pictures not of actual site. Site in a hole in a field with a sign that says "no dumping." Directions are not published but require phone calls as you reach various steps on your journey. Dis not stay night, nast campground just down the highway. Weirdest Hipcamp experience I've ever had.

Remote, but close to the hwy. No water or bathrooms, Dump truck made multiple passes until 9pm, close enough to hear but not enough to disturbe my sleep.

Awesome little primitive spot super close but not too close to the highway. Super clean, amazing sunrise and sunset views over the desert. Christopher was awesome about being available for exact directions and easily guided us to the sight in the dark with no problems. Large gas station close with everyone you need. Great spot close to so many parks and convenient off the highway but with privacy and desert isolation and beauty.

Beautiful area with a great view of the mountains! Dirt road to get in, but we were able to drive it carefully and get there just fine. Host was lovely and accommodating, and the views and stargazing can’t be beat.

Super easy on off the highway. We have heard great things about the area. The next time we’re in town we’re hoping to check out the waterfalls and the mountains 👍🏻

This was our first trip with Hipcamp! Chris was welcoming and willing to help. He guided us to the spot and answered all of our questions throughout the night. It was a beautiful spot, incredible star-gazing! We would recommend Little Jamaica to anyone, new or experienced Hipcamp users.

The site was full of trash and while the listing said there were toilets and wifi, they were not at the site. The host had us call and he gave us good directions from the truck stop to the site.

Just a little desert spot to sleep. Isolated but there were some other cars driving by our site. You can definitely see and hear the freeway but it’s not terribly loud. Christopher was very helpful with directions and response time if you have any questions. Actually checked in with us early to see how the travel day was going

Christopher is very accommodating. The road in is pretty rough but we drive a Sequoia so we were o.k. A lower vehicle might have had trouble. We tent camp and I don't like to pay $40-$50 a night for a site. The site is private but road noise from the I-15 is pretty loud so ear plugs are advisable. There aren't many places to tent camp between Vegas and St. George so this one worked out o.k.

Awesome spot! Easy access to the highway. AMAZING star viewing. Wish we had a longer stay. No bathroom, but the pilot gas station is 1 mile away and the bathrooms there are super clean.

Unfortunately, Little Jamaica did not live up to its description. The listed directions are not accurate, nor are the signs that were placed on the land. We were looking forward to showering and refilling our water as the description listed having such a amenities, however, there were zero amenities. Stay here if you are looking for vast open land, but do not expect showers, water, or other amenities.

I camped here overnight on my way out to the Grand Canyon, and loved it. The sunset and sunrise views are amazing. Christopher was very helpful instructing me how to find the site. Only negative is no bathrooms on site yet. However there is a gas station close by for any needs. Great spot!

While I had a somewhat difficult time finding my camping site, Christopher' Little Jamaica (from where I forgot to ask where the name comes from) is truly a hidden desertous gem. Chris was easy to get ahold of via phone, so he gave me simple directions to my campsite and was willing to walk me through it step-by-step if I had any problems. The site where I stayed- I believe Site 2- was far enough from the easily accessible I-15 (a few minutes drive from a Flying-J) and cradled on a plateau overlooking both a small grassy ravine to the West and a line of mountains directly behind me, to the East. Sunsets were gorgeous. Speaking on the phone with Chris about his future motivations with the land, I imagine soon enough this will no longer be simply a 'hidden gem' but a popular, growing campsite. Either way, the land of Little Jamaica is incredible.

Great place off the I-15 to set up your tent & make a fire for a night. Couldn’t find the garbage disposal so packed out. Bring water.

Great spot! I didn’t see any potable water, nor did Chris mention any when I was “checking in” and he kindly directed me to the spot via phone. I forgot to ask and brought my own water anyway- just a heads up for future visitors- don’t expect a spigot or anything. In that way I think the categorization of having potable water and bathrooms is misleading, but I knew what to expect from reading the reviews. The property was great- I hiked down to the river with my dog in the morning before we got back on the road- sooo beautiful and we had the spot to ourselves! Heard the highway a bit (kinda just white noise) and also frogs! Would definitely stay again.
