Sitting at approximately 5,300 feet in elevation, this remote property offers plenty of space to spread out, enjoy the quiet, and experience the rugged landscape of Northern Arizona. The property offers beautiful views to the north, east, and west, with very little development around you. It's an ideal setting for travelers looking to unplug, enjoy the open desert, and take in clear night skies away from the city. The property is located about 32 miles due south of the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, with the drive taking approximately 90 minutes. It's also about 90 minutes from Flagstaff, 2 hours from Sedona, 2.5 hours from Las Vegas, and 4 hours from Scottsdale, making it a unique basecamp for exploring Northern Arizona and the surrounding Southwest. The property is accessed from I-40 by gravel and dirt roads. Please follow the detailed arrival instructions provided with your booking, including the recommended route and landmarks along the way. Vehicles and RVs park on sandy ground. The area receives very little rainfall, and access is generally straightforward in dry conditions. Occasional heavy rain can make portions of the surrounding dirt roads muddy. There are two routes in and out. Jolly Road is typically the faster route in dry weather. During or after heavy rain, the Anvil Rock Road route is recommended because it has more gravel and provides better traction. 4WD vehicles with all-terrain or mud tires are better suited for wet conditions. If significant rain occurs during your stay, consider using the Anvil Rock route before road conditions deteriorate.
