We got in at 3:30ish and left around 10 am and never saw the little store open. We were never greeted or told about the facilities. We just got a text telling us to park wherever we wanted. The first spot we tried had a post for plugging in, but nothing inside the post. We moved to another spot, and the 50amp didn’t work. Our third spot was a success. Overall, the campground was unremarkable and the surroundings weren’t great. It was ok, just not great. It was essentially an exposed 30 acre parking lot of caliche. It wasn’t bad, just don’t expect much.

This is a great spot for someone alone or a family. It's less than an hour from Phoenix and 10 minutes from the casino. The casino has a movie theater and bowling along with an arcade. There is plenty of things to do in the area to keep you or the family busy while on your stay. The site was clean, and so were the facilities. Laundry area and a small store on site. One of my favorite places. Highly recommend!

There was nothing really to recommend the place. Nothing onerous, but not pretty. But at $15 a night.... The on-site hosts were helpful, but we only found them by accident.

Had some last minute plans to visit the area and found this great place to set up camp for the night. My wife and I found A great little spot to set up our tent and relax. Clean bathrooms and a general store with beer and wine were a definite plus! Would definitely stay here again.

Had the Best time ever, my wife, 3 sons, 5 grandchildren, and others, the site,facilities, hostess, etc., were so much more than expected. and Diana is to be commended with all her help I needed.

Not as advertised. Dusty trailer park next to massive cow feedlots. Overwhelming smell of manure in air. We asked for our money back.

Adventurous Wild West Glamping
Needed a last-minute stay while making my way from AZ to CA...the Wild West campground was on my way and seemed to fit the bill (was looking for laundry facilities, clean water, and a place to pitch a tent). Arrived after the office had closed (at dusk). The listing said there would be a # on the door to call if this happened. There was no number...just space #s for who to see after hours. As confusing as the map was trying to locate my own space (chosen at random when booking), the last thing I wanted to do when I arrived with the light fading fast was drive around looking for someone else’s RV and knocking on their door.
The space I booked online was full so I pulled up to the next available empty spot, which was unnerving because I wasn’t sure if I was taking someone else’s reserved spot.
There were no other tent campers as far as I could see.
I had no access to the bathroom code until the following morning when I asked someone. The office didn’t open until 9.
There were people who pulled up late next to me who were loud.
All in all, it was an uncomfortable night, with very little sleep due to noise and feeling out-of-place and a very rocky space to pitch a tent (like a hard driveway) with a highway just over the fence behind me. I could not find the picnic tables that were advertised in the listing and so I made my breakfast via my camp stove on the ground.
I did manage to get some laundry done (once the office opened because there is no change machine) but would not recommend this spot to campers (or at the very least, arrive before 4 to get the lay of the land). The manager was super nice once I finally met her but we were packed up and leaving by that point. If you have a RV, this place is probably great. If you are looking for a place to camp in peace and quiet under the stars, keep scrolling.

This is an RV Park. If you want to stay here, call them directly and see if they have room. They do not sync the multiple platforms they use or update calendars.
I booked site 8 for my 2 day stay. It was suppose to have electricity and a fireplace. When I showed up there was an RV in my spot. The host took the booking even thought they knew they did not have room. They said we could set up our tent on a patch of grass that was next to the road. Because we drove so far we stayed the one night. The road was loud and would wake us up every time someone passed by. The was no electrical outlet or fireplace to use. Had to eat cold sandwiches, all we had to eat.
The camp host (not the owner) was very nice and seemed frustrated with the situation. She tried to help us as best she could, but she does not have a way to see the Hipcamp bookings.
I would not recommend this place at all!!!

Site seems safe and has some amenities but no decent wif-fi as they stated and it seems like it’s mostly a long term trailer park with some sketchy people as well as a lot of families. Overall it’s a good place to crash if you need to but nothing special.

Most of the visitors are semi-residents who stay for a month or longer. We just needed an affordable stay for a night or two. We have a small camper van and enjoy good bathrooms, a hot shower included. Well, that’s what you ‘ll find here.
The price is very reasonable for full hookups.
It’s useless to select a specific campsite number when making the reservation. The hipcamp site is not connected with the owners system. Just choose one. When arriving you get a site.
Wifi is available but ridiculous slow.

Pros: All hosts I interacted with were extremely nice and attentive. All my issues were taken care of as quickly as possible and with a smile.
Right on the edge of the desert, there is plenty of hiking without driving anywhere..
Store on site is fully stocked with wine, beer, other drinks and local items. Very cute!
Clean bathrooms and laundry.
Good Wifi.
Not far from Phoenix, a bit further from Tuscon, but plenty of parks for hiking and other activities not far.
Cons: Packed full of people. There's a lot more RVs parked here than I expected. Not much for a private site.
I had to drive through a massive cattle ranch to get here. It's right down the road, and when the wind blows from that direction, it does not smell good. As a vegan, this is not cool.

Staying here was nice. Full hookups for RVs (water, sewer, electricity) Spots were all easily pull through for a travel trailer on hard packed dirt and gravel, some had picnic benches and a concrete pad. Free Wifi was horrifically slow when we were able to connect to the point that we just watched antenna TV when we were there in late Dec 20 to Jan 4. There were a lot more rvs this time around so guess it contributed to the internet traffic. Also we were in spot G which was far from the wifi signal. They have a shower building which was clean and upgraded and a space for RV wash next to it for $10. Clubhouse which is open from time to time, just call them and ask. Looks like they are tryin to build up a kids playground too. The general store is cute filled with ranch type decor, some decently priced beers and wines, 10cent candy, alfalfa honey from a local ranch which I bought and was delicious. They accept cardless payment. Sometimes they are not in the office, just call the number in the front of the store. The stay was quiet. The only issue was the flies and smell of cows from the cow ranch a couple miles away. What was great was they had a Christmas party in the clubhouse with cookie decorating so they do stuff like that that makes it fun for the community they got there. There are permanent residents there on the other side.

The park was much larger than I expected and really crowded. The facilities were clean but there was no table or fire ring at our site.

Deanna could not have been friendlier! The staff is awesome! Nice people. The ranch is really great. I wanted a quiet peaceful experience and it is just that. Beautiful place just outside of Proper Phoenix. Love it!

What a nice, peaceful and safe feeling location this is! A rustic and very nicely kept mixed use location (tents, small and large trailers and motorhomes) in a very rural part of the Maricopa area, farmland and desert surround it, but not too far from necessities. Truly an off the “normal” RV beaten path place to stay overnight or several days... in fact I like it so much I’ve extended our stay while we explore Southern Arizona~ We will be back again!!!

I stayed there for an extended period even though I had only planned on staying a little over a week. It's laid back but not lacking. It feels like home and seemed to be a place where many stayed and many more returned year after year. To me, that says everything.

When I was looking for a spot to Hipcamp there was a handful of options available for me to chose from. I was coming to Phoenix to work long days with lots of hours. I needed a spot that was going to be easily accessible, safe and quite. I sent messages to several of the listings that seemed to meet these requirements or at least came close. I received a message back from Deanna really quick and I found her friendly and professional. After a few messages with her and the other Hipcamp listings I booked with Wild West. I made the right choice in doing so. The Wild West Ranch is located at the corner of 84 & 347, which get you just about anywhere. An added bonus was not dealing with Phoenix traffic my entire commute. Safety was never a concern and that isn't always a given as I am a 5'1'' woman who was traveling alone. Even after long days I was able to sleep well at the Wild West Ranch because it is peaceful and quite.

This is a very clean RV park with several tent sites. The bathroom is very clean and nice, there are lots of beautiful trees and cacti, and it borders vacant desert land where you can roam around for exercise or with your doggos! This is a great spot right between Phoenix and Tucson, close to each city. As you can see in the photos, this is not a private secluded spot- rather it's a super convenient, quiet, well-kept RV park with friendly hosts, a super cute general store, and a laundry room. It feels safe and welcoming. Thank you!
