When we arrived and got settled, we were quickly comfortable and happy with our surroundings!!! It’s such an enchanting, peaceful, kind environment. I believe that anyone that comes to stay will enjoy the beauty and nature as we did!
The animals were an amazing bonus!
Sara and Jim are very kind and helpful people, and we can’t say enough about their hospitality!
We will definitely return and enjoy another stay!

Adorable cottage with amazing views and riding right off the property Very close to the Apache-Sitgreaves forests. Sara was gracious and the horse facilities were excellent.

Love, love this experience! First time camping with my two donkeys! Sara is awesome and so very helpful! My granddaughters were able to just wander the property safely, sometimes riding and others hiking. The setup is perfect and easy with the corral right in camp. We had electric and wonderful water right there! The ranch is fantastic and other guests friendly and helpful. We will definitely return!

Sara was such a gracious host! Communication with her was exceptional. The property and campsite exceeded our expectations. We stayed at the Juniper Berry Campsite with E/W in our 35’ fifth wheel. Easy pull-in site that was positioned on a circular drive which made it easy to park and easy to exit. Our cats loved exploring the property and became curious friends with Hamish (Scottish Highland bull) and his companion, Little Fergie.

Juniper Berry Campsite
This was a beautiful campsite. The hosts were so hospitable and generous. We heard elk bugling every night and saw a few deer on our drive in. Our daughter LOVED seeing the alpacas, highland cows, donkeys, and horses. We hope to make it back soon!

Juniper Berry Campsite
Such a beautiful and peaceful landscape and we are so glad we found this spot. We love to disperse camp usually but we just bought a new travel trailer and wanted to try it out in a place we knew had electric and water. We could not have asked for more! They had options of paying for wood, water, corn hole and s'mores, and rock painting. We had our two little girls with us too so they kept busy collecting rocks, taking photos of flowers and we also were able to meet all of the amazing animals on the property including puppies, cats, alpacas, horses, donkeys and a highland cow…this was the perfect start to creating our family memories in our new Travel Trailer for years to come. The owners were so cool, friendly and hospitable. I am also thinking eventually the girls will be more corn hole experts than my husband and I soon enough! You will not be disappointed staying here at all.

The property is absolutely stunning. Forest and pasture and hills … Juniper Berry has it all. The hosts are so gracious, meeting us on arrival and checking back to make sure all was well. We appreciated the fenced yard for our dog so that he could gawk at the alpacas. We petted the friendly donkeys and enjoyed the quiet and solitude immensely. Sites are level, have hookups and the entire area is meticulously maintained. Would love to return!

Really beautifull camping spot with water and electricity. The places are level and the area is absolutely clean.
The host is superfriendly and helpfull in any way possible.
The cats are sweet and the alpacas and donkeys are cute to see.
We would go there again.

This is the best HipCamp when have been to!
Private and the property was immaculate. Great hospitality, even helped park our trailer.
The farm animals were a hoot, we loved the alpaca trio roaming free on the property. So quiet at night and the elk bugling was fantastic. We stayed another night and working remotely from the RV was perfect with great WiFi connectivity.
We will be back in the spring!

Juniper Berry Campsite
What a treasure! We were greeted by a trio of alpacas, two adorable burros, a friendly orange kitty cat and many horses. We had a lovely weekend at a beautiful campsite with FULL HOOKUPS! Our gracious hostess, Sara, was just amazing-so friendly and welcoming. She checked in on us throughout the weekend to make sure we had all we needed. We will definitely be back.

Stargazer Ridge
Our family of 4 had an incredible experience - we even got to feed the animals in the morning (the kids loved it!). Sara was an accommodating and gracious host who gave us a warm welcome, firewood, and fresh eggs for the morning. The location is peaceful and rejuvenating. We wished we could have stayed longer! We went to the Petrified Forest and then it was an easy 1hr drive to camp. Highly recommend.

First time Hip Camper here! Directions were perfect. When we arrived, Jim had us follow him to our spot. It was fantastic. Views were very nice and private. Campsite was large and came with a firepit and picnic table. Soon after arrival we met Sara. She was very friendly and nice. On our first evening, Sara and her husband took us on a S x S ride showing us where the OHV trails were and showed us some very cool sites! This area is OHV friendly with many trails nearby. The next day we went to Showlow which was about a 15-20 min drive. Many events were going on with a lot to do! On our last full day we went exploring on the OHV trails. It was beautiful and even saw some elk! Later that day, Sara invited us to help feed the animals. It was amazing. The alpacas free roam the property and are friendly, living their best life :) ! The 2 donkeys are adorable and would hang out next to the fence at our site! And 2 horses were also down by our site too. Weather is perfect. This was truly a memorable trip and we weren't ready to leave. Can't wait to plan another trip there. Highly recommend. Sara and Jim were amazing hosts with a wealth of knowledge of the area.

Timber Ridge Critter Camp
The camp that Sara has next to the animals is great. My little one enjoyed having the Alpacas wander around and seeing the horses and donkeys. Sara went out of her way to give us VIP attention and let my 5 year old help feed the animals and even ride one of the horses.
As someone who primarily does dispersed camping it was nice to have the Porta potty on site and access to Sara's water, which is leaps and bounds better then Tucson water.
We will absolutely love to go again and might even try her other site that was a little further away from the animals but look like a great location too.
I recommend this site to anyone looking to escape the hear of Tucson or Phoenix or even someone just traveling though and exploring.

Sara made this experience at stargazer ridge, one to remember! My wife and I arrived awfully lat, but Sara made it very easy to find our spot in the dark. She left a couple of chairs, a fire pit and a decorative lantern waiting for us. This made it crystal clear that we were in the right spot! She even left us our delicious eggs that we requested during checkout.
The next morning (late morning), Sara came by the campsite and took my wife and I with our two dogs for a ride around the property. She showed us her incredible ranch, it’s animals and even let our pups run around in the agility course she has.
The property is well maintained, the trails are easy to find, and my wife’s favorite part was being on a gated property yet still feeling like we’re in the middle of nowhere. This is the happy medium everyone is looking for on a weekend getaway!
Sara @stargazerridge totally nailed it! We can’t wait to go back.

I arrived after dark and it was very easy to find. Sara was so kind and helpful with my questions! I have a 2wd travato with low clearance and the road up is paved until the gravel driveway so it’s very easy to access. The stars were AMAZING! Very little phone service for me, but I could walk to better service. Super peaceful stay, thank you!

What a great place! We stayed here yesterday in a Class C Sprinter RV. Three 65 year old guys on a long weekend trip and we loved it. The property is great. It has lots of Juniper trees and varying elevation which enhances the experience and the place to camp was wonderful. The stars are awesome and seeing the Milky Way so clearly was such a bonus. The property's location is somewhere most people wouldn't even think about camping in the area of Snowflake and Show Low, which makes it even cooler, and I've lived and camped in AZ for over 40 years. Don't hesitate if you can stay here. Sara was super helpful and communicated with us. She came to meet us when we arrived and supplied some nice camp fire wood which was unexpected.
The boondocking site is very nice and it is easily accessible from the gravel driveway from the entrance. The entrance is also very impressive. When we got there and saw it and put in the gate code our reaction was, "ok this is a good sign !" and it sure was. There is a small cabin not far from the boondock area, but with plenty of separation, but know you will be on the farm property as opposed to being far away from everything in a remote area. But that's truly fine. Plus there are Alpacas roaming around which was really great. Loved this location and would stay again without hesitation. No ATT cell service but had 2 bars Verizon.

Definitely will return. Host (Sara) is lovely very welcoming and helpful. Sara offers painting 🖼 for $10 bucks. Cute idea, but wasnt clear it was a charge at first.

This was just the getaway that the doctor ordered! I wish I could have captured the stars, but cameras never do them justice. Sara was extra hospitable. She showed us around; supplied us with fire wood and rock painting kits; and let us feed the animals. It was so serene and safe there - I would absolutely go again alone with my dog🤗
