I really loved my time at the Gypsy King cottage! What a beautiful and well thought out space to stay in. Russell was a very good host and communicated promptly when I reached out to him. The cabin and the property is so peaceful absolutely gorgeous! I hope to come back and stay for longer next time. I didn’t have the time to try the sauna. My dog loved the fenced in yard and made good friends with the neighbors adorable blue and red heelers!

Russell’s cottage matches the photos, clean while also cozy. The cob structure is really beautiful, and fire wood provided was so nice. A wood fired sauna is a treat and an outdoor bath, looking towards the Big Dipper was very special! This is a precious place to stay, and there’s lots of incredible hiking, climbing, and mountain biking with an hour drive. Also the neighbor dogs came to visit which we loved. Thank you Russell and hope to visit again sometime.

All I can say is wow! Our experience staying at this cottage was everything we could have wanted it to be and more. The views cannot be overstated, the bed was so cozy, and the cottage itself was so unique and homey. We were sad when it came time to leave! During our stay, we weren’t sure if we wanted to go to the parks or just stay at the cottage. Russell is an incredible host. I messaged him twice with questions, and both times, he answered within a few minutes. You definitely feel that you’re in the country, but town is just ten minutes away for food and groceries. I very highly recommend staying here!

Such an under the radar gem of a place close by Zion with its own slot Canyon locally and the sauna in the back with the outdoor bathtub to cool off in afterwards is a huge plus.
You can tell the owner is a contractor because of the care and design with which he built this house himself. It really doesn't come across in the pictures how nicely finished it is.

I only stayed a few days at the cabin, but it was perfect for me and my pup! Directions to get there were spot on, it was quiet, cozy, and all of our needs were met. I loved the fenced in area for my dog (even tho he just wanted to eat the rocks and mulch) but he’s never been able to have that large amount of freedom so he was happy. It was in close proximity to a store for supplies too which was nice, and also close to the pink coral sand dunes and somewhat close to Zion. Russell was so kind and quick to respond to any questions I had, which I really appreciated. I think the best part though was the fact that there was no cell service for me (even though there was fast wifi) so if you’re looking for a place to unplug and unwind for a spell, this is it!! :)

The Gypsy cottage was uniquely decorated, thoughtfully stocked with all the necessities, and comfortably furnished for both us and our dogs. We loved our time there and are already planning a return trip.

Coolest Hipcamp of our cross country trip for sure. The host put a lot of care into making it comfortable and interesting. Was perfect for our transit from Grand Canyon to Zion.
The host Russell went out of his way for us, even took time to mail us a hat we accidentally left behind. Great guy!

Russell is gypsy king! The home is perfectly designed and so thoughtful. The bath is cozy and sweet and a sunset soak only adds to the magic of the property. Amazing stay, beautiful location, great host. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Very unique place to stay at! Definitely recommend staying here. Gypsy’s Cottage has everything you need, hot showers, plenty of cooking options, WiFi, amazing views and it’s a great location for trips to all the canyons around you!

Such a cute cottage! Was very clean, bed was very comfy. Has a bathroom with toilet and shower inside (shower got very hot), as well as an outdoor bathtub. Easy to find with directions provided. Would absolutely stay again!

Fantastic fantastic unique spot. The amenities were incredible. Everything was so effortlessly put together perfectly. Outdoor shower was awesome! Fully stocked with so many cool ways to cook meals. Can’t say enough. Close enough to town to grab groceries or food/drink. WiFi … gorgeous views. Need I say more?

What a find! Beautiful setting, fun things to explore around the property and surrounding area. Russell was a wonderful host and my grandspn and I would return in a heartbeat. Great location for sand dines, Zion, Bryce, Grand Canyon North Rim. Great water pressure and temp, firepit, inside 2 burners, sink, fancy convection oven, fridge. Comfy beds, heat, AC. Fantastic views. Fenced yard and dog door!

Overall we had a great stay. The house itself was clean, comfortable, super cute and had everything we needed! Unfortunately it was a bit closer to neighbors than we expected vs a more private ranch feel.

You'll find yourself conflicted on whether to go and do all the things you planned to do or just hang on the property. You couldn't find a better launching/chill pad. The Gypsy Cottage was super cozy and had everything one could need. You can feel all the love Russel put into the cottage <3 10 out of 10. We hope to have the opportunity to return one day.

Amazing cabin! Pictures don't do it justice! Clean, cozy, well insulated, set up with all you need for cooking, inside bathroom with shower, and outside shower and bath. Hot water held up well for 5 adults. Bee's market nearby has everything you need for groceries. Had 4 large dogs with us and the property was fenced in very well. There is a dog door that fit our 110 lb. dog, that can be locked tightly if necessary. Property is well maintained, gravel, rock and cement patios. Like most of Arizona, there are some goat head burrs so bring tweezers for dogs feet. Russ checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. I prefer this over a 5 star hotel any day!

Russ is offering a great little gem. Really loved the stay at his place. Place feels unique and cozy and Russ is a great host - easy to communicate, perfect directions, all the things you need for cooking etc is there. Highly recommended.

This is the most remarkable property. It’s a hidden gem you get so much for staying there. The cabin itself is actually like a work of art. Care has been put into every detail. Everything you need is there and the owner is very reachable if you need anything and will respond quickly it’s close to many things but it’s far enough a way to give you peace and solace. I’d like to stay there every chance I can.
