Creature comforts
Enjoy the comforts of home—including flush toilets, showers, and a kitchen.
Apache Oaks is a private 25-acre property in the oak grasslands of Patagonia, Arizona, at 5,300 feet in the heart of the Sky Islands. The entire property is yours exclusively, one group at a time. No shared spaces, no other groups, and no interruptions. Apache Oaks is rustic by nature and remodeled by intention — the perfect middle ground between roughing it and a hotel. Think glamping done right: real beds, hot showers, a commercial kitchen, and 25 acres of oak grasslands and starlit skies right outside your door. The property sleeps up to 25 guests across three buildings: the Main House (3BR/2BA with a full kitchen and fireplace), the Lodge (six bedrooms, several with convertible king or twin configurations, a spacious dining hall, lounge, and fully equipped commercial kitchen), and the Bunk Room, which sleeps three. Lodge and Bunk Room guests share a beautifully remodeled bathhouse with separate men's and women's sides. RV and tent camping are also available for additional overflow guests. The 18 x 40-foot screened pavilion is fully configurable for yoga, dining, workshops, or dancing. String lights, a covered gazebo, tree platforms, and cozy lounge nooks are scattered throughout the property. The fire pit brings everyone together when the sun goes down. A one-mile walking loop winds through the property, with direct access to the national forest through every gate. Enjoy world-class birding at the Paton Center for Hummingbirds and the Patagonia-Sonoita Creek Preserve. Explore more than 100 miles of gravel roads for cycling, or visit Patagonia Lake State Park, the Sonoita-Elgin wine country, and the charming town of Patagonia, all within easy reach. Apache Oaks is perfect for family reunions, group getaways, birding expeditions, cycling groups, motorcycle riders, wellness retreats, and outdoor adventurers. Enjoy flexible arrival and departure times with no rigid schedules. This is a self-catering property with a fully equipped commercial kitchen, and an on-site property manager is available throughout your stay. Where stories are made.Apache Oaks is an exclusive-use property — when you book, the entire 25 acres is yours. No other groups, no shared spaces, no strangers. Just your people and the land. The Space The property includes three guest buildings, multiple outdoor gathering areas, and 25 acres of oak grasslands to roam freely. The Main House sits apart from the main lodge cluster, offering privacy and separation for those who want it. The Lodge, Bunk Room, and bathhouse are grouped together at the heart of the property. The screened pavilion, covered gazebo, tree platforms, fire pit, and lounge nooks are spread across the land — each offering a different mood and setting for your group. A one-mile walking loop winds through the property connecting the key spaces. Direct national forest access is available at every gate — just open the gate and you're in. Amenities All amenities are accessed on foot across the property. The commercial kitchen, dining hall, and lounge are housed in their own standalone building — a central gathering space accessible from all guest buildings on the property. The remodeled bathhouse with separate men's and women's sides serves Lodge and Bunk Room guests. The Main House has its own private kitchen and bathrooms. On-site property manager David is available throughout your stay for any questions or needs. Nearby Activities World-class birding, gravel cycling, hiking, motorcycle riding, and wine tasting are all within easy reach of the property. Patagonia Lake State Park is a short drive for fishing, kayaking, and paddleboarding. The Arizona National Scenic Trail passes directly through the town of Patagonia, 15 miles away. Over 100 miles of gravel roads begin right from town.

Quirky
You'll have this Hipcamp all to yourself.
25 guests max
Campfires allowed
Firewood provided, firepit, wood burning fireplace, private. The fire pit is one of the best things about Apache Oaks — use it and enjoy it. Open fires outside the designated fire pit area are not permitted. Please fully extinguish all fires before turning in for the night. During fire restrictions or burn bans, fire pit use may be restricted — we'll communicate this in advance when relevant. Violations are subject to security deposit deductions.
Toilet available
Flush toilet. Fully remodeled separate men's and women's camp-style bath house with sinks, showers and toilets.
Pets allowed
Off leash, on leash. We love animals — we live with some ourselves. Pets are welcome with a one-time fee of $50 per pet and prior approval. Please keep them off the furniture, don't leave them unconfined in the buildings, and keep them out of the bathhouse. With 25 acres to roam they'll be happy — just be mindful of local wildlife and keep them leashed when wandering the land. Clean up after them on the property and surrounding trails. All non-dog pets require prior approval. Please disclose your furry travel companions at the time of booking.
