Come stay in the epicenter of the historic Homer Smith cattle ranch on the edge of the 1900 acre Anchor River Fritz Creek Critical wildlife Habitat in one of the quiet most beautiful places in the South Kenai peninsula. Relax in a mountain wildflower meadow looking out towards the ocean, hills and mountain tops. Decompress down at the local river, have a bon fire, go for a walk from the land, or drive to the countless adventures, amenities that Homer and Anchor Point offer. Learn more about this land: Pitch your tent behind a grove of spruce trees in a blooming fireweed meadow, adjacent to Homer Smith's Historic barn on our farm stead over looking the view of the 1900 acre Fritz Creek Anchor River Critical Wildlife Habitat, the Ocean (Kachemak Bay), and the jagged peaks of the Kenai mountains. Learn about regenerative farming practices with our flock of 100+ Hens and Mr. Rooster in their egg mobile.  Find peace above our bee hives, enjoy the calls of the sandhill cranes and other birds and the quietude of the pristine wilderness that surrounds us. Pick some veggies from the garden, check our food forest and walk a few minutes away to two peony farms. Some hiking, beach walks, yoga, meditation, biking and river access are just minutes away.   Our camp sites offer lots of space between them, allow for personal space, privacy and all have an incredible view.  We built raised wooden platforms to accommodate most tents.  Raising the site up allows for a warmer, level, more soft place to place your tent and enjoy the quietude and views above the Anchor River valley.   Homer is arguably one of best places to experience all Alaska has to offer and our farm is absolutely one of the best places in Homer area to see the Aurora Borealis, and for star gazing.  Our neighborhood could qualify as one of the dark zones because we are out tucked into wilderness.  Come reconnect with nature, you'll find some warm hearted folks here welcoming into their home.

Wild flowers, views, and vibes...
What a beautiful place, covered in wild flowers with great views! It was cool to stay on a small functional farm, and everyone I met was really nice, and the owners were very helpful in getting me oriented. There's a small communal area to cook and to hang out, and then individual camp spots or tiny cabins as well, if you don't feel like setting up your tent.

Gracious and friendly host
The land is wild and beautiful. This a great way to experience a small scale organic and sustainable farm in Alaska. Thomas was a friendly and gracious host. He made us feel welcome and spent time showing us the land and sharing his knowledge about farming and the surrounding area. There is a well-equipped outdoor kitchen and a great fire pit. I would highly recommend Quiet Alaskan Farm as a peaceful place to stay for a few days while exploring the Homer area.

Camping in a valley on a homestead
My wife and I stayed on Thomas' little homestead with our 2 dogs. We got a nice level area with wood shavings to pitch our tent. We stayed I'm a fireweed field on the side of a hill. He showed us his greenhouses and gave us some history of the area. The morning we left he also mentioned some hikes in the area that we might enjoy. I definitely recommend anyone staying here. Great views of a little valley with some mountains peaking in the distance.

Thomas & cohosts could not have been more generous and accommodating! They welcomed me with a fire & an IPA, gave great suggestions for exploring the area, made sure I was warm at night, shared food & hot tea & community & sent me home with fresh eggs. Ideal for stargazing, 20 minute drive from Homer & plenty of good hikes and places to explore nearby. Accurate driving directions easy to follow even if you're showing up after dark like I did. 5/5 would visit again. Thanks Thomas!

Wow wow wow what wonderful people!
What an amazing place! The drive is easy, aided by the impeccable directions provided by the host. It's a quiet place in the rolling hills with fireweed everywhere, and everything has been hand crafted. I got to stay in a tiny cabin which was clean, cozy, and had solar powered lights. Every detail was thoughtful and the property is wild and beautiful. I look foward to my next opportunity to stay, and highly recommend it to anyone in the area! Absolutely exquisite 😍
