Earn this patch by being the first to spend a night outside at a new Hipcamp.

This property is located in a rural community surrounded by forested land and stunning mountain views. To the south lies Mount Sanford and the northern boundary of Wrangell–St. Elias National Park. To the north are the Mentasta Subrange of the Alaska Range. The Slana River is a short distance to the east, while Suslota Lake is just a little farther to the west. The property itself is the only occupied parcel on a large pond that was once considered a lake. You'll find moss-covered ground, berry bushes, pine trees, and deciduous trees throughout the landscape. The property borders land managed by the Bureau of Land Management, providing access by foot through the surrounding forest to both the Slana River and the Copper River.8 ft by 13 ft Rover Scout Tent (waterproof!). Queen Size floor mattress (3 inch foam), bedding included, aluminum metal table (inside). Outside outhouse, fire pit, and log bench. Firewood provided upon availability
