Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. Located on the river's edge of the Knik River in Palmer, Alaska, our glamping tents offer a unique experience. Unplug, unwind and kickback in our Stout canvas style bell tents. Each tent is stylishly outfitted with a queen size bed, linens, rugs, stylish decor and other amenities. You also will have your own smokeless Solo Stove with seating for two outside your tent. Only 45 minutes north of Anchorage, our location boasts incredible views with access to all things outdoor! There are shared porta toilets with foot pump sinks with soap for hand washing on site. There is one on demand outdoor shower! We have an outdoor kitchen with a BBQ grill, pots, pans, dishes, silverware, salt, pepper and other items for guest use. Half of the property is an adult glamping experience. Half of the property allows children, as long as you understand that we are located right on the river and children should be supervised. Our property is the perfect basecamp with easy access to hiking for all abilities; Bodenburg Butte, Lazy Mountain, Pioneer Peek and Pioneer Falls. Located right on the Knik River we can help you plan a day of fishing, kayaking or riverboat touring. Other local activities include ATV rentals, glacier helicopter tours, exploring the town of Palmer, the Alaska State Fair, a trip to the Reindeer Farm, Independence Mine State Historical Park, the Musk Ox Farm, horseback riding, touring our breweries, enjoying the local golf course, sled dog tours and so much more! Although we love pets, in order to keep tents clean and odor fee, pets are not allowed without permission. No smoking 🚭 Check in 4pm Check out 11am We ask that shoes be removed before enter the tent.

This cozy vintage camper named, "Hope", is sure to delight. Perfect for 1 person or 2 people who like to cuddle. This is tiny living at its best. Take in incredible views of the Knik River while you kickback, relax, unplug and unwind. Hope is equipped with stylish bedding, throw pillows, electricity, an electric heater, a propane stove top, a cute sink, a closet and a firm twin xl mattress. Outside you will have a personal use Solo stove with a bundle of firewood per nightly rental. There is an outdoor kitchen with a BBQ grill, pots, pans and dishes for guest use. One propane heated outdoor shower with towels and Castile soap is available on site. The outdoor shower not your thing? There are coin operated showers at the local laundromat. Shared porta toilets with foot pump hand washing sinks. This glamping property is known as Lulu's Tents & Events at 8982 S Old Glenn Hwy. Palmer, Alaska. Only 45 minutes north of Anchorage, our location boasts incredible views with access to all things outdoor! Also perfect for micro weddings, retreats & small groupl gatherings. Check in at 4pm Check out at 11am. Need early check in or late check out, just ask, we always try to accommodate your schedule. We offer self check in. You just need to sign a waiver. Parts of the property are untamed so we always recommend moving about cautiously to avoid tripping over rocks, roots, guy lines from tents, etc... This is also glamping which is a form of camping, there will be bugs and mosquitoes. We provide bug spray, sunscreen, hand sanitizer and other amenities to make your stay more enjoyable. Like to play games? Grab the corn hole boards and have a friendly competition with your partner. We also have cards, Uno, Bocci, a frisbee and other games.

Lulu’s is an absolutely beautiful location! Sitting right on the Knik River with Mountain View’s all around. The land feels magical. So relaxing and renewed my energy. Whether camping in the meadow or one of the beautiful glamping tents Lulu’s is an experience one won’t forget. Laura is an amazing host.

Great property with great views. Hard to beat being right on the river. Close to some goods hikes as well. Property is very well equipped. BBQ, pots, pans, utensils, coffee machine, hot water, shower, and clean toilets. You can also "rent" a solo stove for campfires. I say rent but it comes with a bundle of wood and starters so it's basically free. Host Lulu was quick with communication and very helpful with anything we needed. She even let us barrow a few things during our stay. Would definitely recommend staying at this awesome property.

We had a wonderful experience at this peaceful lakeside campsite. The setting is serene and scenic — ideal for a relaxing getaway. What truly stood out was the hospitality of the hosts. They were warm, communicative, and genuinely invested in making sure our stay was comfortable. From the moment we arrived, they offered assistance, answered questions, and provided thoughtful touches that made the experience feel both personal and welcoming. We chose to set up our own tent rather than stay in one of the on-site rental tents, and the space was perfect — flat, clean, and easy to access. We also purchased firewood on-site for only $7, and the hosts went the extra mile by including a fire starter, lighter, and materials to help get the fire going quickly and easily. Those small details made a big difference. The campsite was well-maintained and equipped with everything we needed. Their dog, Nugget, added a fun and friendly presence — well-behaved and full of personality. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a well-hosted, scenic retreat with outstanding service and attention to detail. We look forward to returning and getting a chance to stay in one of their own tent for that experience! ^.^>

Exceeded every expectation
Riverside Cozy Vintage Camper
I really enjoyed my stay at Lulu's! I spent two nights there and had a wonderful experience. The camper is perfect for one person or a couple who likes to cuddle. I liked the size of it; it's definitely tiny living. That said, it has a LOT of storage room. There's cabinets and space to put belongings just about everywhere you could imagine. The outdoor stove works really well and, speaking from experience, is plenty suitable to cook a meal and bake bread. It's also very safe. I was able to feel confident walking away from the fire for a bit because its high-walled design contained the sparks and flames well. The camper is stocked with: dishes, cutting board, bear spray, bug spray, firestarter, lighter, soap, and hand wipes. There are plenty of pillows and blankets plus a very effective space heater. There really is no need to bring your own blanket for warmth. The mini fridge gets to almost freezing, which is a plus. Electricity works well inside the camper, too. The site provides you with a kettle for hot water, mugs, dishes, utensils, cookware, roasting forks, sweeteners, salt+pepper, a french press, BBQ grill and attached stove. There is so much provided on site that you really only need to bring yourself, clothes, food and toiletries. The view is hard to beat. It's beautiful and a wonderful sight to relax with. Paths are also well marked in the dark with lights. All things considered, I would absolutely book another stay here!

Absolutely enjoyed staying on Lulu’s land. The view was amazing, hospitality was fantastic, and amenities were just what we were looking for. Everything was clean and well taken care of. Beds were comfortable, lots of extras to keep you comfortable were provided. We definitely will be coming back.

The view is killer, the tents are bougie as hell, the bed was comfortable, buddy heater in the tent keeps it toasty warm, you only need your clothes and your food.

The location is beautiful, the grounds are beautifully maintained and Lulu has thought of everything. My husband and I had an amazing night away from the kids and responsibilities. Highly recommend.

Maybe this place is better during the main season or if you're an RV camper or in a glamping site, but I was the only person there the night I went (tent camper) and there's little in the way of facilities other than a latrine — no picnic tables, fire pits, etc. Beautiful setting but no way to actually access the river that I could see. You're better off staying in one of the many nearby Alaska State Recreation campgrounds — which cost approximately the same price.

Amazing stay. It was rainy and 50 degrees Fahrenheit out and we stayed dry and warm in the tent. Beautiful spot, close to town so we were able to get food easily but very secluded.

Beautiful area, fairly good amenities. Not a lot of dry seating due to rain, I would have expected more for a glamping experience. Not as friendly to families with kids as advertised.

Glamping along the river!
Kenai Tent, along the Knik River
Gorgeous location for glamping, tent or RV! Each site is situated along the Knik River with its own private area and unique theme. Laura has done an incredible job providing shared amenities; covered full kitchen, communal campfire, lounge areas, outdoor hot shower. It was raining for most of our stay, but we made the most of it, playing games and sitting watching the mist roll over the river. Her spot is also only 10 min away from stores and the perfect location if you are going to the Alaska State Fair!

Easy and clear communication with the owner and smooth self check in. She is so friendly and kind to everyone , goes the extra mile in every aspect. The land is a strip of open grass along the river with the tents evenly spread across the property.

We thought it was a very nice area to camp, the area was clean and spread out and not too close others, we had our on space, everything ready for you when you get there, and the hospitality was great, yes we would recommend it to a friend, thank you Laura for everything, the McClains.

Chitina Tent, along the Knik River
Lulu’s was perfect for our two night stay. We stayed in the Chitina tent and felt quite cozy. Lulu has the tent setup so fun with all of the things you would need. The view is beautiful. The outdoor shower was amazing. Light traffic noises occasionally but it didn’t bother us!

After day tripping, whether hiking surrounding riverbeds, exploring nooks of Palmer, allowing time to read or nap, I relished building the evening fire; Beauty at its finest! Laura, Thank you for your hospitality! My daughter and I set out for a daddy daughter adventure and this was perfect. A nice escape from the city while still being accessible to our needs. The tent was easy to get to and instructions were spot on. We felt the area was clean and had everything we needed for the evening. games were provided, community kitchen was clean, and shower area was clean as well. You went beyond and gave us an additional bug deterrent device which did help. Overall experience was positive. Would return again.

Lulu’s land was truly dreamland. This Hipcamp experience was out of this world. I couldn’t believe how beautiful and charming this spot was. Not to mention what a fabulous host Laura is! This was the perfect introduction to Alaskan Hospitality! Thank you so much Lulu and Nugget!

Lulu was an amazing host! Our flight got in late, and we booked the campsite around 9:30pm. Despite being in the middle of hosting an event, Lulu went out of her way to call us and make sure we were settled and had everything we needed. Would definitely return :)

Great experience! Lulu was extremely nice. The place has a nice view to the mountains and river. It's surrounded by a huge mountain which you can hike (you don't even need a bear spray, because she will bring it to you) she got everything in those tints, you just need to bring some water and food, no need to worry about anything else.

Glamping at its finest!

Lulu's place is a piece of heaven with the riverside location. She has decked out these tents to be just amazing and comfortable. She provides a cute little basket full of little things you may need while there. The fire wood and campfire added to the ambiance. And Lulu herself is so kind and fun to talk to. Loved! 10/10 would recommend!

Thanks to Lulu - and Nugget of course - we had the best first night in Alaska! Lulu was very kind, super helpfull and gave us everything we needed to have a great stay with our RV on her beautiful property. We had a nice hamock and fire place for our selfs and had a breathtaking view on the knik river and the mountains! Thank you very much Lulu! Greetings from Germany ❤️🗻
