A few things that make my place unique: My 5 acres is part of the famous 620-acre Kilcher Homestead, as seen on “Alaska the Last Frontier” TV show. I am the 7th of the 8 children; Atz and Otto are my brothers. There is a special feeling here vibrating in the land, and why our parents picked this spot. Full outdoor kitchen with all you need to cook and wash up; BBQ, hotplate, pure drinking water, spices, pots/pans/dishes etc. The atmosphere feels so pure, so silent, so wild yet comfortable. Drive-in access sometimes, or have to walk 15 minutes, and no issues with mosquitoes!!! You get to meet me and maybe other family members as you cruise around. Homer is 35 minutes away, with oodles of things to do there: great restaurants, a lap pool, fun shopping, etc. We have quite good cell reception here. Lots of options to enjoy your stay!

Stellavera's homestead offers a unique camping experience with breathtaking views and a welcoming atmosphere. Most visitors rave about the beautiful scenery and Stellavera's hospitality, noting her knowledge and passion for the land. However, some guests felt uncomfortable due to unexpected host expectations and late reservation issues. Overall, it's a place where nature lovers can relax and soak in the Alaskan landscape, though clear communication with the host might enhance the stay.

    It was okay

Overall we had a great experience! We made our reservation same day since we had a change in our plans for the day. Stellavera didn’t accept our reservation until late and then showed up surprised that we had found the camping area by ourselves and was appalled that we would make the reservation so late and last minute. I personally thought it was rude and made it so I couldn’t fully enjoy the place after that. She also expected my husband and I to help around the homestead when we only needed a place to stay for the night. Beautiful place tho and very peaceful other than being chased down by a four wheeler.

Stellavera has a slice of heaven that makes it even more incredible by her love, knowledge and passion for her family homestead! We had an absolutely amazing 2 days here and could have easily stayed a week. Thank you Stellavera for your stories and time - Andrew especially enjoyed the tour as he is an avid watcher of the show. If ever you are in NZ again, look us up!!! Ps look after those baby moose for us ;-)

It was a charming piece of land. Stellavera was very welcoming, kind, and full of humor. The views were next level and the bald eagles were circling overhead. What an excellent experience. I'd recommend to anyone considering staying at Stellavera's homestead to go for it. It will be an experience you will never forget.
