Denali Rainbow Village RV Park, a Good Sam park, is the closest park to Denali National Park. It is located just 1 mile north of the park entrance. It is also within walking distance to all the shops, restaurants and tours in the Denali area. We have a very knowledgeable and helpful staff to assist you in ensuring your trip to Denali is truly magical. There are full and partial hook-up sites available. All sites have 20 and 30 amp hook-ups. There are a limited number of 50 amp sites in both, full and partial hook-ups. Full hook-up sites are either back in or Pull thru. Each site has a picnic table, fire ring and access to free cable TV. The RV Park has a dump station, pay showers, laundry, clean restrooms, RV supplies & firewood. Pets are allowed in the RV park. All pets must be on a leash & guests must pick up after their pets immediately. Dog walking for a fee can be arraigned. Wi-Fi provided by Tengo Internet in the RV park. Receive 1/2 hour free Wi-Fi then a small fee is charged for more time.

RV Basic W/E 30 Amp Pull Through - 40'

The place gets a three out of five. After all throughout Alaska, I wanted to be close to Denali, and this was in the midst of the tourist areas, but the RV facilities would be rated at three. Although some reviews are rated horrible and others give it for I give it a three. The RV camp is cramped, but OK and the facilities are OK. Location is good if you want to get into the park. If I had to do it again, I probably wouldn’t do it their other locations that are nicer than this facility. But again I just came in for the overnight And went into the park and therefore for what it served its purposes and was adequate. Wi-Fi, you get 30 minutes and then you have to pay after that. Would you recommend to use your own phone as a hotspot. Location is good. There’s a good Thai restaurant. There’s some galleries. But again it’s muddy and dirty And therefore, I would recommend to make sure you have rugs and wet gear since it always rains in this time. I would write it a three.

Disappointing Experience

While the campground is conveniently close to Denali National Park, the actual site felt more like an overpriced parking lot than a true camping experience. Showers weren’t included and required an extra fee, which felt unreasonable given the already steep price. When we originally called to book, the customer service was unhelpful and dismissive, so we ended up booking through the Hipcamp app instead. Unfortunately, the location just didn’t live up to expectations. We ended up leaving the second night and boondock in our camper van for a more real camping experience.

RV Deluxe 30 Amp FHU - Pull Through - 36'

We had an alright time at the RV park. The spots are very close together on a dirt lot. Lots and lots of off-leash dogs which was disappointing because it clearly stated leashed dogs only. The showers were basic but clean. The staff didn’t seem to know much about anything and had to search the office for shower tokens. The staff were kind and pleasant though and made an effort to make sure we knew the check in process before we arrived. The location is in the heart of downtown Denali within walking distance of shops and restaurants. If you’re looking for a basic but convenient place to park your RV this is definitely the place for you!
