We are located off the Parks Hwy just North of the Talkeetna Spur Road.  The cabin and property are set back off the highway on 100+ acres with the nearest neighbors 3/4 of a mile away.  We are located 15 miles from Historic Downtown Talkeetna.  Our little Alaska town is at the confluence of three rivers, the Chulitna, the Susitna and the Talkeetna.  It is known for its climbing addiction being the base for climbing expeditions for taking climbers up to base camp to climb Denali and for flightseeing tours of Denali and all the magnificent beauty of the glaciers and the Alaska Range.  The midnight sun summers make it a great place to kick back and enjoy what we have to offer with pure Alaskan atmosphere. Cubby's Marketplace (a local full service grocery store),  the Tesoro gas station and the Denali Brewing Company local tasting room are all approx. 2 miles away.  Jana's Jumpin' Java is a mile up the highway and features the best espresso, latte's and soft serve ice cream and shakes around.  Some of the most popular salmon and trout fishing streams, Montana Creek, Sunshine Creek and Rabideax Creek are all within a 5 mile radius of the cabin.  In the winter we have approximately 3 feet of snow on the ground during the height of the winter season.  The property has access to about 5 miles of cross country skiing trails that take you back to the Susitna River with fabulous views of Denali, Hunter and Foreaker and the river.  All trails are private, with non motorized access except us while we are grooming. If you are a bike rider, runner or just like to go out for a stroll, there is a bike and walking path located at the Talkeetna Spur Road.  The paved bike path goes 14 miles into the town of Talkeetna. If you like to canoe, kayak or paddle board, Montana Lake is just a half mile away and there are many other local lakes  that you can also explore.  For the hiking enthusiasts, some of the popular hiking trails within Denali State Park include Kesugi Ridge, Byers Lake, Ermine Hill, Little Coal Creek, Lower and Upper Troublesome are all accessible from our unique little cabin hideaway.  See as much of Alaska as you can knowing at the end of a long full day you will have a comfortable place to come back to.
