Tent camped at Lake Jennifer site 1 for a reason! with kids, Jun 2026.

    It was okay

We had a good time overall. We choose the wrong week and had ALOT of rain. On the sunny days we enjoyed the fishing boats and swimming. Owners were really nice. If you want a place just above complete primitive camping it's a great place.

  • Doesn't recommend

It appeared to us that this camp was out of business. The place had not been mowed. Site numbers were hard to identify. The compost toilet building was in disrepair building wise and also there were no products for the use of the compost toilet. The outdoor shower’s gas heater spewed water everywhere when water to it was turned on. The communal kitchen area had standing water left in buckets and the area seemed to not have been cleaned in a while. Also our messages to owners about concerns were not answered. No one appeared to be home for us to ask questions. After just an hour we decided to leave and find camping elsewhere. I think this was a great place at one time to camp. It had great reviews. Perhaps someone family circumstance has caused the inability to care for the place. We made our reservations Feb 27, 2025 for the 6 nights beginning June 15, 2025. We feel the owners should have notified us and refunded our money if they were no longer caring for the Place. Later ,looking on the app , we could not find them listed. It is a mystery to us. If anyone out there wants to refund our money, that would be great.
