Campsite is easy to access and layout is good. Steep incline driveway should probably be noted for inclement weather. I msg Matt about a dog loose at the site on our arrival. He msg back that it was a stray and would stay away because it’s afraid of people. Unfortunately, the dog did not stay away. It stayed right by us the entire time. She bared her teeth at our dog several times and begged for food . The whole campground lost power during the night which I don’t fault the owner but it caused water and power loss. Cold shower in the morning since campground water heater was affected by power outage. We hiked Dismals Canyon nearby which is amazing and a reason to stay at Turkey Hill for location.

Very few RV Parks betweenTupelo and Birmingham so Matt's camp is a good location. And only a couple of miles off the interstate. Nice secluded, quiet, and shaded area. Clean bathhouse. We will stay there again if our travels take us that way.

Matt is a TERRIFIC host! The campground is absolutely beautiful, clean and well kept! We enjoyed the nature trail, the quiet and seeing the stars at night. Will DEFINITELY stay here again and we are looking forward to it. HIGHLY recommend!

There was a lot of highway noise, but we stopped there because it was near the highway route we were taking. So that was fine. Lots of trees. Clean bathroom/shower.

Camp site as advertised. We were the only tent campers and had our choice of sites. Nice and shady. Very close to interstate which bothered hubby, but not me so much. Bath house under renovation. One very neat and comfy bathroom well appointed. Hosts are great! Loved her gardens! We'll maintained camp ground with fun family activities.

We had a great stay and the owner’s hospitality was great. The sight was big and easy to get in and out of. This campground was in an easy accessible place out in the countryside. The bath rooms and laundry room were clean and beautifully decorated very impressive

We Loved this campsite!! The trees and bushes were all flowering. We woke up to the birds singing. The shower house/bathroom was clean and very modern. It was an excellent facility. Matt was very informative and professional. I would definitely recommend this campground to anyone!! It was a little slice of Heaven for us.

Stopped in for a night driving cross country in our 36’ class A. This was an awesome option! Super easy to find, clear instructions and communication from host, clean restrooms/showers. I would definitely recommend this place as a great option for a road trip stop! Heated bathrooms and long supply of hot water were a pleasant surprise during the winter :)
Others mention the highway noise, and though you can definitely hear it (it’s so close, which was a huge plus for us), we did not find it distributive at all.
Overall, this spot is cheaper and much more lovely than other right-off-the-highway spots! Go on and book it, I say!

Would stay again. Hill to get up is very step. Bathroom was private. Trash available. Quiet. Club house had old games but we still had a blast. Had a power issue at the tent site. My cable fused to their cable.

Sprinter 170. Great spot with convenient access from exit. Thought we would hear the freeway noise but it was dead quiet. Wifi signal was pretty weak at our spot but we were located towards the end of the sites near the tent sites. Note: Could not get our Starlink to connect with internet because of obstructions (trees), but no internet is not a deal breaker for us. Would definitely stay again!

Clear and easy directions. Convenient while xcountry. If you’re a light sleeper, road noise may be problem. Was not an issue for me - slept extremely well in my 4Runner. Clean bathroom/shower. Felt safe. Would stop again. Thanks.

Turkey Hill is a quiet oasis for a weary traveler! Lovely, peaceful setting in the woods. Super clean bathrooms and showers. Great communication from the owner made it easy to find our spot and set camp within minutes. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

Turkey Hill is a wonderful, quiet location easily accessible from the highway. The grounds were pretty and the bathrooms clean. It was a bit shady for my Starlink to work, but no biggie at all because the camp WiFi was fast. We did not take advantage of the games area as we were only there one night, but I would have liked to!

What a beautiful spot. We stopped on our way to Memphis and so glad we did. Tent site was perfect, restrooms were immaculate and the shower was welcome after a day's drive. Anyone doing the Elvis tour should consider a stop at Matt's.

Turkey hill is a great camp/RV site. Very clean. Hot showers if needed. Ping pong in the rec room. A nice little trail through the woods. And 5 minutes to town.

Went tent camping here with my husband for our anniversary and we took our two dogs, so it is pet friendly. We had a nice stay here except for the first day when we was in the middle of setting our tent up and it came a down poor, but we got the tent up and had a good laugh, for the most part. 😀 The area was quiet except for the freeway not far away., but not to bad. Matt the host was super nice and helpful. There was a building with two separate bathrooms with a shower, toilet, and sink and was clean and maintained. It seemed like this camp is just starting out because some of the tent spots was not up and running with water yet but the RV spots looked like they were up and running, but this place has a lot of potential. I would recommend this place for a quick stop or a couple of days to just get a away. 🙂

Decent spot with useful amenities ( flush toilet, hot shower, WiFi, potable water, etc). Nothing spectacular in terms of natural beauty or nearby attractions, but overall a fine place to spend the night on your way through northern Alabama. Be sure to bring earplugs though as hiway noise is quite noticeable, though not too obnoxious.

Great location and level campsites. Two bath/shower rooms - one seemed to be unfinished, the other was fine. I didn’t get a chance to speak with Matt, but I’m guessing this campground is a work in progress. The ‘clubhouse’ is an open shed/workshop. It has a pingpong table, cornhole, and a couple of lawn chairs, as well as tools, paint cans, and equipment. Nothing special here, but a convenient place to spend the night.

Cute little campground. There were only 4 lots occupied and wet stayed just overnight so can't say anything about amenities. There is a steep hill to get to the campground so be prepared for that. Electric and water worked just fine. Quiet and peaceful.
